Open Thread Friday: Happy Feet !

OPEN THREAD! Had problems with the video, so if it works here, happy Friday Night !

Stealth Magnolia

Because this video is so cool and a great antidote for miserable unHappy Feet in the media and politics 🙂 And I’m a behind the scenes Broadway nut too!

Looks like it did. So how’s everyone doing this fine Friday night, probably not at the movies, we pretty much pounded the new releases last thread 😀

Really? Because the 2008 and 2012 televised network primary and Presidential debates weren’t treated like Dancing Monkeys. Okay, my inspiration for “happy feet”. 😉

Happy Friday night. Rough day at the office, but I am still standing.

My original post was welcoming you to the stable yttik, reposting this missed that warm fuzzy. Ugh, I’m so tech challenged !

      • yttik says:

LOL, it’s a girl thing, Denise. Something to do with our inability to draw accurate pictures of bicycles or something. Spatial awareness?

I used to think my husband was too stupid to get technology. Now I realize he’s simply too smart to bother. That’s why I always have to program the darn remotes, microwaves, TV’s, computers. He simply thinks such things are beneath him.

That’s Guy Trick #6: “If you do it badly enough, long enough, you won’t have to do it anymore.”

I covers everything including cooking, housework, laundry and oral sex.

          • Klown says:

The secret is to be both eager and incompetent. Then they won’t let you stop, they’ll make you stop. “No, don’t! I’ll do it!

The down side of living alone is I have to do everything myself. Even after six months nobody gets so disgusted that they clean the bathroom for me.

        • yttik says:

That is actually Girl Trick #7, Klown. “Honey, I’m a girl. I really am stupid. Will you teach me how to paint the bedroom…..and in the process of teaching me how smart you are…….manage to get the bedroom painted?”

Girl rule #8, never underestimate the power of a man’s ego to make him stupid.

    • Klown says:

Well sit the fuck down and put your feet up. Have a beer, watch the game. Yell at kids to get off your lawn.

      • yttik says:

Klown, no kids on the lawn, but we do have a crack addled moron running up and down the street all night long arguing with himself.

This morning hubby got up and went out there armed not with a baseball bat or a gun, but with a fly swatter. He whacked the guy all the way back into his house, then calmly got in his truck and went to work. it was the funniest damn thing, but it made me realize, I really am white trash, but it’s all good.

I think that’s something like a sin tax, Denise. It’s okay to say violent and hateful things if you make a donation. Kind of like how it’s okay to sin all week, just as long as you put enough money in the offering plate on Sunday.

one of things I miss since I moved to California is going to New York for the broadway shows. The school parents used to have bus trips that included dinner and a show.

    • DeniseVB says:

Local musical theater groups in my area are fabulous! Do you have any in your area? Support them, volunteer for them! I do the NYC Broadway shows about twice a year. Last one was Spiderman Turn Off The Dark. Paid $250 for the seat. Probably why I’m appreciating the locat efforts more 😀

      • yttik says:

Good advice, Denise. Unfortunately that has lead me to see so many versions of the Nutcracker, that I can’t even go Christmas shopping for fear that somebody might be playing the music.

the day after the night of one hundred stars, I met Joe DiMaggio at the Newark train station. i was going home from work. I signed an autograph for my son. He was one great gentleman and many sports stars could learn from him

I like Harpers Bizarre version. Not as brassy; gentle, with a hint of whimsy. Even if the sound quality is rather rotten.
