Thank-You Mr. President!

Putin 2

I just wanted to give a big shout-out to President Vladimir Putin of Russia. Thanks to Bad Vlad, I don’t have to watch Barack Obama give a speech tonight.

That’s what I call doing me a solid.

This is an open thread.

Maybe tomorrow I’ll do a post about Bad Vlad.

Putin is a murdering thug. Those are the people you handle by stroking their ego. Bush said that “I was able to get a sense of his soul; a man deeply committed to his country and the best interests of his country.” That was true. Putin is very interested in making Russia THE superpower of the world.

Now look at Obama. This dumbass tries to stare Putin down and talk shit about him. Putin has probably ordered hits on more people than Obama has friends. You don’t scare a guy like this with empty threats. You keep your enemies closer and work when you have mutual self interest.

Obama is in front of a chess board when he only knows how to play checkers.

      • Somebody says:

1539 I get what you’re saying, but I don’t think Obama has many friends……..maybe Putin has ordered more hits on more people than Obama has backstabbed???? Than cheeseburgers Michelle has scarfed??? Than people Obama has blamed for his inadequacies?? Than choom hits Obama has done??

Obama is playing Liar’s Dice, which he sucks at.

      • wmcb says:

Bingo. You don’t out-dickwave a man like Putin. You smile and praise and cooperate/stab him in the back depending on the situation. Then smile some more.

      • Mt.Laurel says:

Checkers still might be too complicated. I think BO is playing Chutes and Ladders. Or maybe Candyland.

    • mcnorman says:

Pooter makes me laugh so I eagerly await with great anticipation your post.

So far I’m not impressed by season 3 of George Zimmerman. Season 2 was the best. I don’t think they’ll be able to top it.

BTW – The guy who played the medical examiner last season was cut from the cast and apparently Mark O’Mara is quitting the show.

Please read this whole thing. I really appreciate Ace’s brutal honesty here – even regarding himself and his previous bandwagons.

And he’s right. Try the truth. Not the party line, not angling for advantage, just the simple truth: warts and misgivings and half-beliefs sometimes “I have no idea what the right answer is” and all.

According to vodka pundit & twitter, Obama is blaming Bush again somehow.

  11. t says:

Wow, where’s my pooper scooper. This guy is really hefting the bogus sh*t.

  12. wmcb says:

Well, that speech was a disaster. Completely muddled. See Assad is HITLER, and we are to get all agitated over the dead children (only the recent few dead ones, not the previous thousands of dead ones), except we aren’t going to oust Assad or anything, just a “limited, targeted strike” (at whom or at what or to what purpose he never says.) And it won’t escalate, he pinky promises, but there is no goal, no plan, other than “sending a message” via bombs, which he has kinda sorta ruled out now anyway, so WAIT, we aren’t doing that yet, but we still might, and then he practically restates the Bush Doctrine of hitting our FUTURE enemies now, because they might do something bad in the future, and……but I’m not actually planning to do anything at all, but FOR THE CHILDREN. He basically tried to tell us Assad is the evilest evil ever to evil, and we MUST RESPOND, but really we just might need to wrist slap him and it will all work out…somehow.

Incoherent. All of it. The supposed motivations did not match any of the proposed actions. Still no idea what, exactly, we could accomplish other than “making a disapproving statement” via bombs. Oh, and he doesn’t want Congress to vote yes or no, because he knows damn well they will vote no at this point. Complete and utter flailing.

    • wmcb says:

Oh, he also said in one breath that we needed to bomb Syria because they were a threat to our national security, then turned right around and said they were no threat to us at all when trying to explain why the strike would be “very limited.”

  13. 1539days says:

Whenever something bad happens to Obama, I put it on MSNBC. Ironically, the biggest Obama cheerleader of all the hosts was Andrea Mitchell. Her claim is that because Putin came up with the weapons inspection treaty, it will be a big failure unlike Iraq. That was the best part. She claimed that Saddam gave all his chemical weapons to the inspection team even though they were blocked constantly and Syria probably has IRAQ’s CHEMICAL WEAPONS.

Ironically, TIngles and Chris Hayes were actually considering the implications of the US bombing a bunch of civilians under the guise of keeping them from being gassed.

  14. “Syria probably has IRAQ’s CHEMICAL WEAPONS.”

Actually, I believe this could be true, and I always thought he gave them to Gaddafi, but Assad makes sense too.

And WMCB – thanks for that synopsis. If not for you, I would never have known what the heck he said. Maybe the same folks who translated the text on the “Reset” button wrote it.

  15. wmcb says:

    What is he smoking?

  16. 1539days says:

The only way that speech could be worse is if Obama set himself on fire while twerking.

  17. wmcb says:

Both senate seats in CO were recalled. Bloomberg and friends outspent the grassroots recall folks almost 6 to 1. And lost badly. Giron’s district is HEAVILY Dem. Still lost.

I really really hope the Dems make gun control a big deal in all elections. Americans do not like you fucking with their guns.

    • Lulu says:

One of them said they would vote for the “good law” again if necessary. Of course that was before the recall totals were known and she lost her seat. I hope Dems learn that stealth candidates on radical issues are going to have their chains yanked. Hard. She is welcome to her opinion. She just can’t bulldoze it upon everyone else.
