Just in case you want to talk about something else tonight, like riffing on the Red Carpet fashions and the awards winners/losers. *Spoiler Alert* If you’re more than 4 time zones from the East Coast or DVD’ing, you’re on your own, and stay off Twitter and Facebook too 😉

On edit: This is for everything else you want to talk about too tonight! It’s an Open Forum!

*Live* Red Carpet on E! channel now. A 6 hour TBBT marathon in progress now on TBS. And football. Why has Sunday all of a sudden becoming MustSeeTV night ? 🙂 Not sure when All My Children comes on tonight, but “Swamp Boss” doesn’t want us spoilin’ that here 😉

  2. DeniseVB says:

It was years ago, on the old “usenet” groups? I digress, I was a fan of “tv shows in development” sort of groups. It was pre Will and Grace era, then they got picked up, I got to give feedback to the producers. The rest is history, but I’ll never forget, I got contacted to be a SEAT FILLer for the Emmys. As long as I spent thousands on travel, hotel and formal wear. Turned it down. The invite, priceless. 🙂

  3. DeniseVB says:

Crap, I have Lena Dunham’s haircut and body. But I’m 40 years older than her….priceless.

  4. DeniseVB says:

Oh well, here’s a red carpet shot:

    I’ll check back later …..

  5. DeniseVB says:

Merritt Weaver won supporting something, from Nurse Jackie? Sorry went out for a smoke, and it was a Merit too, How cool am I ?

  6. The Klown says:

I watch the Emmys to find out how many shows I have never watched get nominated.

So far it’s of them except BBT.

  7. DeniseVB says:

The Deschanel Sisters ! Cuties. Announcing some guy, sorry missed it, they need to keep the name up on my screen. Here’s Robin Williams….

  8. DeniseVB says:

Robin doing a tribute to Jonathan Winters now…..cut off?

  9. The Klown says:

Okay, I’m watching a rerun of Wild Hogs I DVR’ed last night.

    • driguana says:

There’s a great backstory to Wild Hogs. Once the story shifts to New Mexico, a lot of it was filmed in the small, coal mining village of Madrid (pronounced Mah-drid, not Mah-dreed, like the Spanish pronunciation). It’s a very small place with one road in and one road out. Once someone got some bucks for a location shoot, everyone wanted money. It was chaos. The little restaurant, Maggie’s I think the name of it is, was a fake set front….after the film left the property owners wanted to keep it open as an actual store. We had to have constant police protection out there so fights wouldn’t break out. It was quite exciting in retrospect. I liked the film actually.

There’s one other famous movie scene from Madrid….David Bowie falling to earth there in The Man Who Fell to Earth.

  10. DeniseVB says:

Julia Louis-Dreyfus just won, and it was uncomfortable. What was the audience laughing *during* her speech? Sorry I’m not keeping up, was it for Seinfeld?

  11. DeniseVB says:

Modern Family won for FIRST EVER female director, whatshername, Yay?

  12. DeniseVB says:

This is hard work….kimmel and ???…announcing best actor in comedy…it’s …it’s….JIM PARSONS ! Ok, I can go to bed now 😀

An unsurprising tweet, since we know Moore can’t tell fiction from reality.

    • elliesmom says:

But Walt was a teacher so he had the best insurance his union could negotiate for. It just wouldn’t pay for the best treatment available. So “Breaking Bad Canadian Version” would look a lot like “Breaking Bad American Style”. By being in the US Walt saved on the travel expenses he would have had to get to the best treatment if he lived in Canada.

    this could get interesting
hilary to huma dump weiner or you’re out.

what happens if she stays with weiner and they write a book to pay off campaign expenses?

    • Jadzia says:

I’m sorry, but I think that’s inappropriate. Even though I, too, believe Huma should kick Mr. Danger’s ass to the curb.

      • The Klown says:

There have been rumors for years that Hillary didn’t like Weiner.

      • elliesmom says:

If Hillary is planning to run in 2016, and if she thinks Huma’ s relationship to Weiner is a liability, then she has a right to ask Huma to choose. If Hillary isn’t running, then the personal life of her ” personal assistant” is none of her business. Of course, if Huma was truly supportive of a Hillary presidential run, and is as smart as everyone says she is, Hillary wouldn’t have to ask. Huma would either dump Weiner or resign on her own.

Jeff Daniels plays the Democrat’ s ideal Republican.

    • The Klown says:

Jeff Daniels plays a dead guy?

    • 1539days says:

He played the typical Democrat, too.

      • elliesmom says:

I stopped watching after Sorkin wrote a script that had a “Republican newsman” do an on the air rant against the Koch brothers. Before that I couldn’t figure out what made the character “conservative”, but I knew he was being written as a jackass. I had cancelled HBO, but Elliesdad saw the previews for this show and thought we might like it. When Verizon offered us some premium channels free to keep us from switching to Comcast, he took them. I’m glad we’re not paying for it.

If you are 82 freaking years old and are swerving all over the road because you are getting a blowjob from a hooker on the seat of a white Cadillac Deville….. I confess, a tiny little part of my soul doesn’t want you arrested. Just bein’ honest.

This morning would be a great time for someone else to post something.

  21. wmcb says:

The establishment GOP is in full-blown raging snitfits today over Ted Cruz, and feeding to the media like crazy.

  22. foxyladi14 says:

That’s because Cruz is a real Republican and McShame is a fake one. 🙂
