Cruzin’ With Ted – Hecklers Edition

Via Hot Air:

In response to one heckler, Cruz said: “Thank you, sir, for being here. You know, look, it is a great thing that people can express their First Amendment rights. And I only wish the Obama administration respected First Amendment rights that much.”
To another heckler, Cruz responded: “Ma’am, thank you for being here. I wish you would participate in the democratic process through speaking respectfully. … It seems that President Obama’s paid political operatives are out in force today. And you know why? Because the men and women in this room scare the living daylights out of them.”
Interrupted again, Cruz took aim at the president: “You know what? I’m curious. Is anybody left at the Organizing for America headquarters? I’m actually glad that the president’s whole political staff is here instead of actually doing mischief in the country.”
When another heckler yelled out a question, Cruz responded: “You know what’s striking, actually? In the course of this brief speech, we’ve heard more questions than President Obama has allowed in the last year.”
The heckling then led Cruz to “make an offer” to Obama. “I would welcome the president, if he wants to get a hundred of his most rabid political operative in a room, I’ll answer their questions on television as long as he likes. And in exchange, all that I would ask, Mr. President, is you take not a hundred, but ten of the men and women in this room, and spend 30 minutes answering their questions for the American people.”
To another liberal activist, Cruz responded: “Oh, they don’t want the truth to be heard. They definitely don’t want the truth to be heard.”

It’s official. Sarah Palin no longer lives rent-free in Vile Prog’s heads. Ted Cruz has taken over the lease.

If you want to know who the Vile Progs fear the most, just look at who they attack.

Since when is anyone associated with the Great Leader a “liberal”?

  2. votermom says:

I think Palin & Cruz share a duplex in Obama’s empty noggin

  3. The Klown says:

I know it’s totes racist to point this out, but is there any new show on television without at least one token black person? Arabs, Asians, Eskimos, Hindus, Hispanics and Persians are rarely seen, and when they are in a show it’s so the script writers can make fun of their accents. (Like Raj on BBT)

  4. DeniseVB says:

I posted the “alteration proof” pdf to his entire speech downstairs in New Coke and even wondered if Cruz used “plants” since we always accuse Obama doing the same for the hecklers. I also wonder how OFA could get into a tighty-righty Value Voters forum?

    Free speech ?

As an independent watching the GOP right now I find myself in the uncomfortable position of a house guest at a family feud.

I’m the house guest trying to slap some sense into all involved. Also strategically instigating where I think it might help. Cause right now, they are the only game in town to stop the prog trainwreck.

“Only game in town” is what’s keeping me from cutting all the strings, but I will never, never, never again “hold my nose” to vote. Unless, of course The Klown runs for something.

How many top military brass is it now that Obama has removed? Lots. I don’t remember other presidents purging the military that way. Here’s yet another one. Creepy.

It’s that creepy UCMJ that let’s Presidents “punish” anyone who disagrees with them. I think it’s the, “thou shalt not criticize YOUR President while wearing the uniform” bitchin’ part. Probably the same sorry oath the Park Rangers took. How’s that working our for us 😉

  9. 49erDweet says:

If they’re not pliant enough they’re no good for a despotic ruler. The thing of it is, the middle ranks know exactly who among them to trust and who to fear, This will backfire when dirty laundry on the new appointees begins being exposed. “Oh, the tangled web we weave…..”

  13. wmcb says:

So the GOP is not only caving on Obamacare mandate delay, they are also agreeing to cave on the infinitesimal sequester “cuts” (really just less-fast increases) that we got last go round. They’re going to repeal some of them. They are doing this because of an NBC poll that looked bad for them. The poll had TWENTY PERCENT government workers in it. Govt workers, per the census, are only 5% of population. So they overpolled them by quadruple.

GOP was looking for an excuse to cave, and found one. Between them and the Dems, will continue to spend us into the ground.

It’s all a smokescreen for implementing chained CPI, in the name of “shared sacrifice”.

        • Lulu says:

I have always thought that it would be Democrats that did away with Social Security and Medicare. Current Dems hate earned benefit social programs. Feudal Democrats and Republicans are all about extracting wealth to be distributed to cronies. Paul Ryan is an evil little fuck and doing exactly what Wall Street Democrats want. This is what Obama voters wanted and they are going to get it. I do not want to hear anymore “I am so poor and boned” crap out of Obama voters any longer. Tough shit stupids.

      • That’s an insult to those of us with pussies. Most women I’ve met are much better at budgeting than dick-wielders. Why do you think they won’t let us run anything? Because they don’t want anyone to rein them in. Boys will party until the pantry is empty, and then starve for a week before doing anything about it.

      • “Why do people say ‘Grow some balls’? Balls are weak and sensitive! If you really wanna get tough, grow a vagina! Those things take a pounding!” -Betty White

    • insanelysane says:

      Optics.

GOP needs to appear as if they are pushing that rock up the hill to fight the ” liberal dems”. In reality that rock is made of paper mache and they never intended to push it to the top anyway.

I personally have a conspiracy theory where Obama is a Republican plant where he gets to corporatize health care, fight a holy hell war on terror, spy on everyone, and give bankers and wall st whatever they want.
That what the R’s were known for. The GOP opposition was never meant to actually stop anything Obama does, because it’s what they want too.
It’s the stoopid Democrats that took the bait and voted this petulant man-child into this seat of such power. They are so freaking ignorant that they somehow believe what Obama says is what he does.
Those 2 things rarely coincide. They are nearly always the opposite.

      • wmcb says:

Obama is not a Republican plant. He is a full blown product of the Democratic Party. Don’t kid yourself. They are not “fooled”, he is dong exactly what they want.

There are very few voices left in politics resisting the fascist state. Almost none of them are on the D side, and precious few on the R.

As a Republican, it is pretty clear that the GOP represents nothing. At least Democrats are willing to fight for their evil, greedy principles. Any Republican who isn’t a Tea Party supporter needs to be primaried, even if the seat goes to a Democrat in the general. Republicans are Democrats now and they need to go.

This week at a Air Force base in Arizona[ @[242981294935:274:Davis-Monthan Air Force Base]] Active Duty members attending college courses on base were dropped from their classes due to the US government defaulting on their tuition assistance program. My friend who is on active duty was told by email to not come back to class because the govt never paid the bill [email attached]. Once again the Obama Administration has waged an all out attack on veterans. This week alone he’s allowed family members of the deceased warriors to be neglected by forcing them to buy their own airline tickets and hotels at the last second. He’s closed our open-air war memorials while granting an illegal alien rally to get crazy on the National Mall which resulted in 8 democrat leaders being thrown in jail and many more arrested. Now our active duty warriors are dropped from college courses, and next week all wounded vets from WWII to The War on Terror will not get paid if liberals do not allow congressional bills to be voted on. It’s an all out attack. I’m sick of people saying “well it’s not Obama’s fault” bull crap, he’s the president and he’s aware of what’s going on. As a leader he should be able to see these issues coming before they happen, and he does. He just doesn’t care to rally Americans or his political members to fix anything veteran related until after shits hit the fan; proactive is not in his vocabulary when it comes to anything veteran related. The information related to the Tuition Assistance is 100% confirmed, this is happening to my close friends. JOIN OUR FIGHT TO FIX AMERICA—-> http://www.facebook.com/briankolfage

That is absolutely appalling. We need to somehow get these self righteous thugs out of the White house and take back our government. I think the truckers are a first sign. Unfortunately they are not media articulate. But they are a good first sign of a coming revolution I hope.

  18. wmcb says:

Good piece from Protein Wisdom, self-described “Outlaw” blog, about actual conservatives, true classic liberal democrats, and libertarians all being left out in the cold:

what is important to note here is that the country itself is conservative in the sense that it believes in fiscal restraint, a limited but responsive government, and then — beyond that — it wants to be left alone, to live freely, to pursue personal interests, to enjoy life without the constant intervention of government agencies or social engineers looking to tinker with citizens’ lives as if they were studying lab rats.

When I first wrote about what I called “outlawism” — which was captured nearly concomitantly in the spirit of the TEA Party movement — I was talking about a collection of those Democrats who still believed in individual liberty, personal responsibility, the “Protestant work ethic,” and fiscal sanity (the erstwhile Reagan Democrats) coupled to classical liberals, conservatives, and many libertarians, all of which shared the basic belief in the ideals set forth in our founding documents. That is to say, they may differ on certain policy issues, but they don’t differ on fidelity to the Constitution and the liberty it was designed to protect.
