But Nobody Got Fired For Benghazi

Daily Beast:

Exclusive: White House Official Fired for Tweeting Under Fake Name

A White House national security official was fired last week after being caught as the mystery Tweeter who has been tormenting the foreign policy community with insulting comments and revealing internal Obama administration information for over two years.

Jofi Joseph, a director in the non-proliferation section of the National Security Staff at the White House, has been surreptitiously tweeting under the moniker @natsecwonk, a Twitter feed famous inside Washington policy circles since it began in February, 2011 until it was shut down last week. Two administration officials confirmed that the mystery tweeter was Joseph, who has also worked at the State Department and on Capitol Hill for Senators Bob Casey (D-PA) and Joe Biden. Until recently, he was part of the administration’s team working on negotiations with Iran.

During his time tweeting under the @natsecwonk name, Joseph openly criticized the policies of his White House bosses and often insulted their intellect and appearance. At different times, he insulted or criticized several top White House and State Department officials, including former National Security Advisor Tom Donilon, Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes, Secretary of State John Kerry, and many many others.

The Daily Beast saved a long record of @natsecwonk’s tweets prior to the shutting down of his Twitter feed.

“I’m a fan of Obama, but his continuing reliance and dependence upon a vacuous cipher like Valerie Jarrett concerns me,” he once tweeted.

“Was Huma Abedin wearing beer goggles the night she met Anthony Wiener? Almost as bad a pairing as Samantha Powers and Cass Sunstein ….,” he tweeted on another occasion, insulting a top Clinton aide, a then Congressman, and two White House senior officials in one tweet.

So this guy tweets criticisms and insults under an alias and gets fired. I’m not defending him, I probably would have fired his ass too. Most any boss would.

But nobody got fired for Benghazi. That tells you everything you need to know about this administration’s priorities. Firings for incompetence or corruption are like hen’s teeth, but disloyalty to Obama is punished severely.

Cruella DeSebelius says Obama didn’t know about Obamacare website problems.
Just like he didn’t know about Benghazi, or Fast & Furious, or IRS pogrom.

I think we have passed the phase from President Clueless to President I Don’t Want to Know to President Stupid. He is either a liar or a moron. Or a lying moron. Maybe locked in a closet all day and brought out for special occasions like fund raising.

it’s cute how he thinks this makes him look good… now or ever

naked ignorance – the emperor wears it with such panache

And yet, it’s his “signature accomplishment”.

anyone with a working brain cannot possibly fall for this same line that he doesn’t know anything everytime (plausible deniability no longer so plausible after so many my dog ate my homework excuses). this is beyond stupid. we all know he knows exactly what is going on, it is his position as potus that he must know more than even we do. so yeah, i don’t believe it. they are just trying to shield him and the koolaid drinkers and the msm will totally fall for this. if it were bush, they would be up in arms and calling him stupid and probably do a vote of no confidence on him. it is total hypocrisy. they are still using that 24 billion figure all over twitter to blame repubs for the shut down that harry reid and ob could have stopped. 24 billion for what? for payment for printing of all those shut down signs, for more capitol police and overtime to guard the monuments, for more barricades, for more cones? 24 billion i don’t buy it. if the government is shut down then this number in reality should be a big fat ZERO not 24 billion, that was all of ob and reid’s spending to make the shut down more painful for regular americans.

  5. Glad that he got away with it for two years. Good info got out, and there’s a record out there.

    • Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t he fairly loyal to Ostupid but not his vacuous minions? Isn’t that what got him canned? Not playing well with others?

  6. jeffhas says:

Where the heck was I when all of this was going on??… I don’t remember seeing any of these tweets in the media during the past two years…

Doesn’t the guy (gal?) who does the Ulsterman Report claim to be an insider too? I’m always a skeptic… sounds true, but it could be made up.

    • Lulu says:

I think he just says what everyone is thinking but afraid to say. Nothing top secret just regular stuff that never makes it through the media filter.

I’m reading that the WH/HHS is having a “conference” with Congressional Democrats to explain the issues/progress with Obamacare & the website today.

Unfortunately, no Republicans from either Senate or House side are invited or included.

Isn’t that exactly how Obamacare got passed in the first place?

Is President Shamwow so stupid he can’t see the arrogance in that choice?

Yes. Code Red and they are all running into each other or having toddler meltdowns. Read that Rouse and Jarrett had a running argument that culminated in a screaming fight in his office. Rouse is supposed to be so laid back that he is almost comatose but jumped down her throat and yanked her tonsils. They are totally discredited and a laughing stock of every negative thing said about them. And Cruz is getting standing ovations like Bronco used to receive. They are freaked.

        • leslie says:

It doesn’t count, though, unless wiminz start fainting and TC begins catching them. Ten they’ll really be scared.

  11. leslie says:

Today bronco meets with the president of Pakistan or Jordan or whatever country he’s been targeting with drones because that country is angered by said attacks. Fancy that! I started thinking that the US govt would probably never go to bat for our citizens (take Benghazi for example) because this govt doesn’t care about anything except …….

    • Mary says:

Amnesty International has called for The One to be charged with war crimes for using drones.

That’s the only reason he’s meeting with Pakistan people. International shaming.

    • Lulu says:

Who is ratting out the tweeters? The twit company CEO?

    • kanaughty says:

if the dems were smart pols (we know they have proven not to be in the last decade), they would have rolled this thing out smoothly and then threw it in repubs face, but right now in a reality based world they only have themselves to blame for total fail.

      this is a boondoggle.

they should have just subcontracted this thing out to zuckerberg to begin with. then maybe this sign in and form based and database driven website might have come correct. if i were running projects like this i would have hired the same companies that have successfully launched kayak, expedia, hotels.com, any of the airline ticketing companies, or even ehealthinsurance.com because they relate to what the health.gov was trying to mirror. i would not have hired some failed canadian company who apparently doesn’t know how to use includes (or more efficient code writing) because they made the site way more heavy than it needed to be, bogging it down and making it fail repeatedly

this was stolen from a commenter at No Quarter

an excellent analogy of backtrack and America

There are just never enough celebs for bronco and his screw up administration to corrupt. And they are so easily bought.

  16. helenk3 says:

look who they hired to help you when you try to sign up for obamacare by phone

    • wmcb says:

      HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Tweeted it!

        • kanaughty says:

it’s funny because the generation that they need to sign up, use the actual part of their cell phones to call people way less than any other part of their cell phones, games, texting, apps, internet…. so the exact people he needs to sign up to save obamacare, will just not bother if the website is not working. why spend your time talking to someone on the phone giving them personal information when you may be transferred multiple times, when you may be put on hold for extended times, when you may not even understand their accent in the end. that generation doesn’t want that hassle. so clyburn better hope the website starts to work in order to get those 26-35 year old they desperately need to sign up to make aca finally sustainable and not collapse in the first year. i am hoping the demand is low so it does fail, so they are forced to scrap it and reasonably rewrite it so it isn’t such a stupid – unfair to the middle class – thousands of pages law, and then actually be only passed as a true bipartisan effort, not the dems only using their majorities to pass it into law in the dead of night with no repub support at all.

  17. lol this made me laugh

  19. Lulu says:

“The administration announced it would provide a new “shop and browse” feature Sunday, but it’s not giving consumers the real picture. In some cases, people could end up paying double of what they see on the website, CBS News’ Jan Crawford reported Wednesday on “CBS This Morning.” http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505269_162-57608843/healthcare.gov-feature-often-lists-wrong-prices-for-coverage/

If a business did this they would be charged with fraud. Claims of incompetence or hysteria would not matter.
