The Klown Theory of Governmental Incompetence

Governmental Incompetence = X2

Big government is predicated on implied competence and efficiency. But that is mathematically impossible because governmental incompetence is exponential. I know this because I took math and math is hard.

The level of incompetence in any governmental organization is the square of the number of incompetent people working in that organization. A governmental organization with one incompetent in it is level 1 (1×1 squared) But if there are two incompetents the level rises to 4 (2×2).

Half of all people are below average in intelligence. (Yes, I know that’s really mean.) Incompetent people aren’t necessarily stupid. They can be incompetent for lots of reasons. The larger the organization, the more likely you will have incompetent people in it. Big governments always have lots of incompetents working in them.

The problem with incompetent people isn’t just that they are incompetent. The worst part is that their incompetence prevents other people from being competent. This is especially true when the boss is incompetent.

Private organizations don’t have the same problem even though they have to deal with incompetents too. That’s because they fire people who fuck up.

Modern progressivism is based on the premise that incompetence can be eliminated but there is no historical or factual basis for this belief. That is why progressivism is a quasi-religious pseudoscience like astrology or phrenology.

My formula needs some work. Some people are more incompetent than others, and the higher up on the food chain they are the bigger the impact.

    • The Klown says:

When I started trying to express my theory mathematically I had a really nasty flashback to Mrs. Martin’s algebra class at Delmore Blight Junior High.

    • DandyTIger says:

I think you need two parabolas, graphed in 3d space, resulting in a saddle point. And on that saddle is Slim Pickens riding the bomb.

      • The Klown says:

I probably should have incorporated Clausewitz’ friction in war principle too.

Everything is very simple in war, but the simplest thing is difficult. These difficulties accumulate and produce a friction, which no man can imagine exactly who has not seen war. Suppose now a traveller, who, towards evening, expects to accomplish the two stages at the end of his day’s journey, four or five leagues, with post horses, on the high road—it is nothing. He arrives now at the last station but one, finds no horses, or very bad ones; then a hilly country, bad roads; it is a dark night, and he is glad when, after a great deal of trouble, he reaches the next station, and finds there some miserable accommodation. So in war, through the influence of an infinity of petty circumstances, which cannot properly be described on paper, things disappoint us, and we fall short of the mark.

    • Please take into account incompetents quickly identify fellow incompetents in a herd, and – surprise – erroneously believing them to be the creme-de-la-creme of the lot, overly promote their fellows by a power of three score and ten.

Well said Klown, well said! I’m not good enough at math to fine tune your formula but intuitively I think the situation is far more dire than represented by that equation.

  3. The Klown says:

Progressivism and “social science” are two sides of the same counterfeit coin.

HISTORIC! POTUS is no longer the most powerful man in the world

    random thought

the backtrack bunch want illegals in the country to get so many goodies.
the backtrack bunch build a healthcare website where identity theft is almost a given.
do you think the backtrack bunch want to replace American citizens?

    • DandyTIger says:

Of course they’ll use the technicality of down does not equal crash. Which of course will be pathetic. Some networks and zombies will believe it though.

    • foxyladi14 says:

      Raise taxes of course. 🙄

    • Constance says:

Of course the fix money is coming from us, the taxpayers. And the fix money to fix the fix will be coming from us taxpayers too. This is sort of like a gang bang rape. First your insurance rates and co-pays go up for 5 years in anticipation of Obama care. Then you lose your coverage and get forced to buy a really expensive policy or alternatively your insurance is deemed OK under Obamacare so you are taxed more heavily on it. Then the model fails and the insurance companies aren’t happy with their level of profit and so you the taxpayer get to bail out the insurance companies.

  9. votermom says:

“If You Like Your Plan…” Supercut
President Obama has said you can keep your insurance plan. A lot.

  10. helenk3 says:

    way off topic and WTF

DOJ claims international treaties trump the US Constitiution

    • The Klown says:

To point out the obvious, President Obama and his team are utterly, completely incompetent when it comes to executing national policy. The catastrophic launch of Obamacare is only the latest example. Whatever that gun-running operation to Mexico called Fast-and-Furious was really about, it’s clear the administration made a mess of it. The president and his national security team failed to protect our consulate in Benghazi on September 11, 2012. And when the attack came they failed miserably, and fatally, to rescue our Ambassador and his three colleagues.

I’m not asserting that the president and his team are totally incompetent. They do a better job of getting their base out to vote than any group of politicos have ever done before in our country’s history. Their efforts to trash their political opponents are unfair and often vicious but — alas — they are astoundingly successful. Their talents for deflecting blame and stonewalling investigations of their criminal mid-deeds are extraordinary.

It’s just that they have no idea how to run a government — which is what they were elected to do.

  11. leslie says:

I just tried to purchase my city vehicle sticker online and had trouble so I called the city and they said, “Maybe there’s a problem with the website”. When I asked them if the same peoplewho designed the Obamacare site had a hand in the vehicle stiker renewal site for my towm, they did not think it was the least bit entertaining. (Did I ever say that I live in one of the MOST “librul” towns in Illinois?) They did say theyve been having problems ever since it went “public” yesterday.
    More collateral damage here.

My left arm is numb and tingly. I either slept on it wrong or I’m having a stroke.

  15. The Klown says:
    • Somebody says:

I suffer from that too and I don’t think Obamacare covers it, well except for perhaps re-education camps or worse!

  16. helenk3 says:

does anyone read backtrack speeches before they are put on the teleprompter?
he praises Oregon obamacare enrollment. they have enrolled 0 ZERO people

  17. helenk3 says:

    hope this works
    for her catness

  18. helenk3 says:

even today backtrack is spewing the same BS about being able to keep your insurance if you like it.

    how deaf can he get?

  19. helenk3 says:

does this make you think of the backtrack bunch?
