Is that second picture what our redneck trailer compound is going to look like??? I call the gournd floor trailer with the red stripe!

Gallup Daily has Obama down to 39% approval, and trending down.

    Ruh roh.

  3. Lulu says:

The Affordable Care Act is the biggest new health care program in decades, but the Obama administration has ruled that neither the federal insurance exchange nor the federal subsidies paid to insurance companies on behalf of low-income people are “federal health care programs.”

I think they are trying to head off investigations about kick-backs from various beneficiaries of the fraudulent largesse such as insurers and contractors. I think it is too late and not legal.

    • t says:

One can hope that is the case.

    • Lizzy says:

Man those meannnny Republicans will have more scandals and faux scandals than a NYC hotel has bed bugs or a dog has fleas. More vermin than can be scratched swatted or squished. Special prosecutors everywhere! Where’s the popcorn?

      • r u reddy says:

How hard will the big insurance and allied financial businesses try to obstruct such Republican hearings?

trying an experiment. chopped up apples, raisins, pecan chips pour pecan syrup over and bake. then spice cake mix was on sale so I am making muffins with the apple mix in the center. i used apple juice instead of the water called for. will make six large muffins and i have a pan the makes the cupcakes with the space in the center to fill. so I can use the remainder of the apple mix as a filler

Of course not, because women aren’t interested in politics. We just want to know who’s schtuping who in the entertainment industry and how much Sarah Jessica Parker’s shoe wardrobe cost for “Sex in the City”. There was a segment once where Barbara Walters and Meredith Vieira were discussing how they became members of the Mile High Club. My BFF was a travel agent, and she forced me to watch it. She couldn’t believe they were admitting on national TV they had sex right in their seats. Made me glad I can’t afford to fly first class. But why did Barbara stack the deck and only put one conservative voice on the couch if politics wasn’t going to be a feature?

      • 1539days says:

The first thing people heard about The View, other than Debbie Matenpoulos was a moron, was that Meredith didn’t wear underwear. It’s a dumb show run by dumb people who occasionally talk to Obama when he needs a fawning interview.

Brain strain. Can’t remember if this was linked to. But I’ll do it again just in case. Ms Noonan nails it. Guys, I’m weeping for you all.

Today he asked a good question. Why did Obama have to lie about “if you like your plan” if health care insurance was so bad? People liked their doctors and liked their plans. If they didn’t, they sure as hell like them more than the Obamacare alternative.

      • t says:

That is exactly the point. Yep, our plans may have sucked ape doo-doo. But the new plans suck King Kong doo-doo.

I looked at my old plan today, and thought gee, I never thought I would ever look at this insurance plan as the good old days. But I do.

Hello, Mr. Obama. We are not a political campaign.

I used to feel sorry for Dippy Debbie because she’s such a pathetically bad liar. Now she just makes me sick.

She’s still a bad liar though.

    per tom harkins

better coverage in obamacare is redistributive tax

    • r u reddy says:

But the people getting subsidies are merely conduits for redistributing that money to the insurance companies. Why does Harkin not see that?

    9/11 flashback:

Watching Blacklist (DVR’ed from last night). Chemical weapon used on a subway car. Lots of people dead. Phone rings at someone’s home that morning:

    1st Person: “Hello?”

    Caller: “Turn on your television.”

    1st person: “What channel?”

    Caller: “Any channel.”

That is the exact conversation I had with a friend on the morning of 9/11

    • 1539days says:

Within an hour of the second tower being hit, every channel on my cable had live coverage, with two exceptions: The Disney Channel and the Soap Opera Channel.

I was taking the day off. No TV. Thought it was the best day ever because I wasn’t hearing any airplanes going overhead. So calm. Then went out after seeing a neighbor sitting on the grass looking sad. I didn’t believe a word they said and went in and turned on the TV. WTF?

    • Somebody says:

I took my dog out and my elderly neighbor was walking into my yard asking me what I knew about a plane hitting the WTC. She came to me because my husband was an ATC, but not in NYC, LOL. Anyway I invited her in and turned on my TV, in just a few minutes we saw the second plane hit and that’s when we knew what was happening as well as everybody else in the country.

The best conversation I had that day though was definitely with my husband. I figured he wasn’t coming home on time, heck I thought they might even implement their emergency procedures and keep those in the building rotating them on 12 hour shifts, they didn’t though.

Anyway as you all know he worked AF1 among other planes so he was detained and debriefed by the FBI. He calls me on an FBI cell phone late that afternoon. He tells me when I pick up the phone he’s calling me on an FBI cell phone because all other outside communication is cut off. He tells me the FBI is listening to our conversation, that he will be late and he has no idea when he’ll be home and then he says I assume you’ve seen the news and have some idea why I’m detained, I’ll see you when I see you……..My reply, I pepper him with a litany of questions…..”Is this true? Did this happen? Did you work AF1, I heard such and such”

He cut me off repeated that he was being detained by the FBI, he was calling me on one of their phones and that they were listening then he told me he’d see me sometime later and goodbye. When he did get home he chewed me up one side and down the other, repeatedly asking me what part of the FBI was listening to us didn’t I understand, LOL! He’s also never answered a single one of my questions. I’ve learned more from news reports and specials than he’s ever told me. On top of that whenever there is a special or article about that day and I ask him if what they said is true his response is always the same………Let me watch that or read that and I’ll tell you, then he says “Yep it happened exactly like that”.

Meh, I guess I kind of deserve that after the whole FBI thing!
