Sarah Palin vs. Matt Lauer

Sarah demonstrates that she has mastered the art of a hostile interview. When she made her national debut a little over five years ago she had no experience with smiling reptiles. Now she knows how to not let an interviewer throw her off stride with unexpected or trick questions.

This is an open thread.

The newest trial balloon for Obamacare is Obama HAD to lie to us. He had to do it because we don’t like bad news and WE are immature. “This was not accidental. As Princeton political scientist Paul Starr relates in “Remedy and Reaction: The Peculiar American Struggle Over Health Care Reform,” the catch-word of health-care reformers was “minimally invasive.” In other words, politicians knew Americans would never go along with reform if they saw it as something that would disrupt their own lives.

I knew eventually the public would get blamed but it is a little sooner than I thought. You see we aren’t good enough for the genius of and incredible efforts of “The One”. They have to hurt us because they love us. Abusive bastards.

It must be OUR fault. It couldn’t be Obama’s, now could it?

    • t says:

Personally, I think mindless synchophantic hero worship is more a sign of immaturity…just sayin’ 😀

      • Lulu says:

True but now they are using poli sci dimwits to justify why we must be abused, lied to, tricked, stolen from, etc. It is the Ike Turner defense. “Baby, baby I love you and want what is best for you. Do what I say, give me all the money, I will only beat your ass if you sass me back. You are just a dumb thang. See I love you.” If this is the best they have they are truly screwed because most sane people see through this garbage. This is last chance stuff and all it will do is piss people off MORE.

        • t says:

What they’re doing is actually phenomenally successful with the “base,” which is why they’re doing it. Same with the blanket notion that our cancelled plans were “junk”. It would all be very interesting if I weren’t so heavily affected by it. I have to work myself out of a funk literally every single morning because we’ll be so heavily affected by it. And when I read articles like this, I have to start working at it all over again. It is demoralizing.

        • fif says:

But they really believe it! It’s paternalism at its worst – they are so much smarter than everyone else, if we would just let them run the world, it would be an elitist utopia. Don’t you GET IT (you bunch of idiots)?!

    • The “Had To Do It” defense is the most frequent excuse heard prior to sentencing.

  2. The Klown says:

The urban legend of Sarah being stupid is based on two heavily edited ambush interviews and some back-stabbing disgruntled ex-employees, neither of whom has ever been asked to run a campaign again.

  3. The Klown says:

“Particularly since the shutdown, I’ve had a spate of e-mails and letters and phone calls saying, ‘Run for president again,’” McCain told The Arizona Republic. “As you know, I’m seriously thinking about running for re-election to the Senate. But I think, in the words of the late Morris K. Udall, as far as my presidential ambitions are concerned, ‘The people have spoken — the bastards.’”…

While even McCain agrees that another presidential candidacy seems far-fetched, Bruce Merrill, a veteran Arizona political scientist and pollster, told The Republic he has fielded multiple calls from out-of-state reporters this year investigating the possibility. McCain was critical of the GOP strategy to try to defund President Barack Obama’s health-care law, resulting in a partial government shutdown. McCain emerged with better national poll numbers than others associated with the crisis, including “tea party”-style U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.

The only people urging J-Mac to run again are Democrats.

Continued from downstairs, Katie Couric’s show is on the “verge” of cancellation. Good juicy story ….

    • lyn says:

All these media prima donnas, including Matt Lauer, should take their money and retire.

    • The Klown says:

Well bless her heart. It couldn’t happen to a nicer person.

      • elliesmom says:

Katie and her employers were unaware the demographic for her show’s time slot would include a hell of a lot of Sarah Palin fans. It’s not the topics she covers. It’s who’s covering them. Even giving away cars wasn’t enough to save Oprah when she dissed her fans. It should have been a lesson.

      • 1539days says:

Remember how fast Oprah’s show faded when she picked the black candidate over the female candidate? Or how she tried to save her show by interviewing Sarah after the election.

  5. DeniseVB says:

The tragedy of this story is that I was at Bryant Park the night before….

Fortunately the manufacturer has discontinued making this coat as it’s been related to other shootings and deaths. Sickos.

  6. helenk3 says:

now this is a good thing. maybe our kids will get an education and not an indoctrination

    • Lulu says:

Another “Roll it out quick before anyone knows what it is” scam. They are trying to do that with immigration too. More hairbrained ideas with no consideration of consequences but lots of opportunities to make kickbacks.

    • DeniseVB says:

Maybe we should follow the money or check the Obama’s Christmas party list ? 😉 Don’t they know any qualified cronies ?

    • Erin says:

My mother tutors kids in NY with this math curriculum. She finds the pace overwhelming. In fact the teachers are not keeping up with the stated cirriculum. This is a women with astronomy and physics degrees. I can only imagine how hard it is for parents without her background trying to keep up and help their kids through their meth class this year.

Oh Noes, Twinkles Down ….. Dzhokhar’s civil rights are being violated !!!!!!!!!1!!

Now about the civil rights of his victims………?

    • Now I’m crying. We have a generation here in this country of ungrateful spoiled brats. Thanks be to God it was our grandparents and parents who fought the big wars. I fear if it was left to the pussy generation we would all be speaking some language besides English.

what part of the english language don’t understand>
cancellation does not mean the ending of heath insurance, it means transition from having health insurance to tough luck sucker you are own your own, the website does not work

    • 1539days says:

And by the way. Even if the website works someday and an individual can buy a plan, what happens if they can no longer afford it? $5,000 may be Obama’s Wagyu beef budget for a the night, but that could be the difference between having insurance and not having insurance.

  15. I am livid over the tone of this article. (picked up off the news feed of a spoiled vile prog child) No worru about the parents in this- only the typical BS so common now- Me! ME! ME!

Second, the baby boomers’ children — members of Generations X and Y (also called the millennial generation) — are leaving their parents’ and, in some cases, grandparents’ Social Security collection decisions entirely up to their parents and grandparents.
If Hal and Selma run out of money, the first person whom they’ll hit up for support is likely to be Jay. And Jay may have no choice when it comes to helping his parents. It’s not as if Hal and Selma have to directly ask Jay for money; they may just have to make Jay smaller gifts or leave him, when they die, a smaller bequest than would otherwise have been the case.

In short, if Hal and Selma screw up their Social Security decisions, the net flow of bucks from them to Jay can decline to a trickle, even if it doesn’t reverse direction.

    • 1539days says:

This may be an unpopular thing to point out, but the people collecting Social Security now are the last ones who paid smaller withholding taxes. Ever since the 80s, the program has taken huge chunks out of both employer and employee checks to keep the Social Security afloat.

Gen X and Y have had 12% of potential income funneled into a system that has less and less likelihood of reimbursing them. It may be greedy to expect a windfall from retired parents, but it may also be the only way to make ends meet in an economy where they have less buying power than their parents.

      • True. And more and more sharks are swimming in those waters trying to lighten that windfall , too. The scams that come over the phone and through the mail are mind-boggling in their avarice, persistence and craftiness. I’m sure there are senile fools being taken, else the pitches would dry up.

  16. underwhelmed says:

Shout about it, scream about it, and throw it in the faces of the Vile Progs who defend this filth in the name of tolerance.
