What’s Up Doc?

Remember the “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. Period.” promise that Obama made?

Weakly Standard:

“The president made clear throughout the effort to pass the Affordable Care Act and throughout the period in which — that continues to this day — in which Republicans have sought to repeal it that the vast majority of the American people those who have insurance through their employers, who have insurance through Medicare or Medicaid, will not see a change and that includes to how their plans allow them to get access to difference doctors. The reality of the insurance system that we’ve seen over the years is that these plans change all the time, so there are limits. If you’re building on the private insurance based system that the president is doing, using the model from the Republican governor in Massachusetts, as he did, this is not a government run insurance program,” said Carney, clearing his throat after being asked whether Americans would be able to keep their doctors.

He continued: “What is the case is that if you’re purchasing insurance in the marketplace you have a variety of options available to you, from less expensive plans to more expensive, more comprehensive plans. And as is the case in insurance markets and networks all over the country, the more comprehensive plans tend to have broader networks. So if you are looking for, if you want coverage from your doctor, a doctor that you’ve seen in the past, and want that, you can look and see if there’s a plan in which that doctor participates in. And that reflects the way that the private insurance system has long worked.”

What Obama Really Meant was “Maybe“.

BTW: Obama DID NOT LIE, no matter what Fox News says you low-information racists!

Look! Squirrel!!!

Congress is investigating Census employment data scandal.

What he really meant was that he kinda thought it might happen, but probably not. This guy could have a sequel to Liar written and it wouldn’t be fiction.

  3. DandyTIger says:

What he really, really meant was: I can’t believe you fools are dumb enough to vote for me again.

  4. The Klown says:

Obama says the roll-out clusterfuck is the GOP’s fault:

The Republicans are “invested in failure”.

    This is incredible incompetence:

Obama won. The rest is just more opportunities for lies.

I’m just waiting for the hilarious decimation coming next year in Congress.

I am thinking about statute of limitations and the court of Federal Claims (I think that is what it is called). Something like a Pigford settlement for people who had health insurance cancelled and fraud cases against anyone one who draws a federal paycheck who participated in the clusterfark. Maybe a new law that if you steal money for campaign contributors you have to give the people of the United States your house and pension.

I probably should have done a post about this. Maybe tomorrow I will.

He hasn’t just been learning how to be a president on the job, he’s been learning how to be an adult on the job. Clearly a genius selection the Dem party made.

” Clearly a genius selection the Dem party made.”
Obama was perfect for the job. Pelosi, Reid and the DNC had already cut the “deals” with the health business and big money before the corrupt, sociopathic fraud became the obvious selectee. Money, majorities and power for ever.

    • Lulu says:

Too bad that they thought he would do anything but play golf and run his mouth. Usually selected incompetents are also given a minder. They forgot that part.

there’s trouble brewing in USPS land- the Harry Potter stamps had been rejected by the whole advisory committee because Harry is not American, but the Postmaster General went ahead and released them anyway. France and England and Australia all have Potter stamps and this committee just a few weeks ago canceled another set of stamps that depicted children playing because some of the activities looked “dangerous”.
Fun fact: Henry Louis (do-you-know-who-I-am?) Gates Jr., buddy to (the-USPS-is-not-as-efficient-as-Fed-Ex) Obama is on the committee

    • westcoaster says:

actually, it was the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition was who caused the removal of the stamps portraying children playing. Two attempts at removal of perfectly good stamps in a recession economy is not good business…and in both cases the Post Office is not to blame.
