Word of mouth is this is really good:

I’ll probably wait until Monday or Tuesday to go see it.

  2. DeniseVB says:

    Treacher !

OUT: “Leave Obamacare alone, you teabaggers!”
IN: “Why are you teabaggers leaving Obamacare alone???”

  3. The Klown says:

Looks like Munich Pact II is almost a done deal. I’m sure President ValJar has guaranteed peace in our time.

Whether you’re (generic) a fan of GWB or not, I finally watched the Dana Perino video on an important lesson he taught her. Whoa, good stuff.

    GOOD NEWS!

Obama is gonna pivot to the economy!

    Hinderaker:

Obama and the Congressional Democrats knew that before long, their lies would be exposed. The Obama administration predicted in a regulatory filing in June 2010 that more than one-half of all employer-sponsored group plans would terminate by the end of 2013 (now pushed back by the administration to 2014). They obviously didn’t think that no one would notice. Likewise, most Democrats, let alone Republicans, can add and subtract. So as soon as Obamacare was fully implemented, people would see that health insurance under the new regime costs more, not less, than they had paid previously. (Actually, any fool would have seen this from the beginning if he paid attention.) The Democrats must have known that when their lies were exposed, the blowback would be severe, exactly as every Ponzi schemer knows the day will come when his pyramid collapses and he goes to jail.

The Democrats put off the day of reckoning by delaying the implementation of Obamacare by three years when they passed the law in 2010. They have bought more time since by postponing various aspects of the law–most recently yesterday, when they deferred the date for 2015 enrollment in the exchanges until after the midterm election. But still, these are only delaying tactics: the administration’s lies were destined to be exposed, and the consequences could only be severe. The Democrats did not run this risk in order to gain a small prize. It is reasonable to believe that the only goal that would have been deemed worth such an enormous political risk is the holy grail of statism: socialized medicine.

The really ironic part is that if Obama (and ValJar) weren’t so obsessed with “winning” the Shutdown, they could have turned an Obamacare delay into an excuse for Obamacare failure. Now they own it, free and clear.

      • foxyladi14 says:

Yep it is their baby now they can rock it. 🙄

      • DeniseVB says:

I think they’d rather be wrong than prove Ted Cruz right though, so shutdown it was !

      • Constance says:

I know and that really blows me away. The Republicans gave them an out. All the Dems had to do was agree to delay the individual mandate for a year and they could have looked like leaders who care and instead they rammed through their half assed web site that makes them look like fools and liars. If they have a plan it’s not clear to me what it is. Maybe a few of the Dems are working from the inside to sabotage Obamacare for the good of the country or something.

    The voting public:

    • DandyTIger says:

Of all the special snowflakes, Santa Cruz has the most special, special snowflakes.

      • The Klown says:

People back east don’t realize that not everybody out here is like that. California has special enclaves filled with people like her and thanks to good weather and the Nanny State they tend to survive and reproduce.

Out here we usually just roll our eyes when we hear them talk, but sometimes they get elected and when that happens they are dangerous.

      • trixta says:

Ohhhh …Santa Cruz! Believe it or not Santa Cruz is wackier than Berkeley! Both cities were my old stomping grounds at different points in my life. Most twelve year olds sound smarter then this flake.

        • The Klown says:

Try doing pest control in Santa Cruz. They want you to get rid of pests without hurting them or using any kind of poison.

“It’s like this lady – I can come out every day and pick aphids off your roses for about $200 a day. Or I can spray them with insecticide once every 3 months for $50 a quarter. Which do you prefer?”

    • DeniseVB says:

My favorite: The people on the East Coast like slaves because China and the West Coast doesn’t …. or something. Heh.

Though she does speak better than Obama without his teleprompter 😉

Thanks to two storms that arrived back-to-back last week I had to climb up on a ladder and re-clean my rain gutters.

When I was younger I used to jump off roofs. Now I worry about falling off ladders.

    • trixta says:

When I was a kid, I jumped off the roof of our coral and broke my ankle. (But the three jumps before that were a blast!) Ladders and bodies are a dangerous mix. I guess, the same could be said for bathtubs and bodies….
