Boo Hoo Barry Blames Big Bad GOP (Again)

Daily Mail:

President Obama lashed out Tuesday at Republican lawmakers during a Hollywood speech seemingly designed to shift public debate away from his Obamacare- and Iran-related political train wrecks and toward safer territory: jobs and the economy.

Speaking to a crowd estimated at between 1,800 to 2,000 people – primarily staff of the DreamWorks Animation film studio, according to a White House pool reporter – the president slammed GOP partisans while claiming economic moral high ground that poll numbers suggest he’s incapable of holding.

‘Instead of rooting for failure or re-fighting old battles, Republicans in Congress need to work with us,’ he declared, complaining about his opponents’ fixation on the Affordable Care Act.

‘We would be a lot further along without some of this dysfunction and obstruction we’ve seen in Washington,’ he insisted,.’if we didn’t [sic] have one wing of one party that was a little less obsessed with repealing health care for 40 million people.’

Money quote:

‘Yes, we are going to continue to implement the health care law. The product is good. People want it,’ he claimed.

Question: Was Obama just blowing smoke up Hollywood’s ass or does he really believe the shit he says?

He just believes that the more he lies the more people will believe him. He is a classic double downer, though he should leave while he is ahead.

    • Incidental information the emperor is naked has no importance. The key is no one must be permitted to mention it.

I liked the Hollywood touches with the scripted hecklers. I also like that AFTER he turns our health care system into a clusterfuck and agrees that the Iranians have a right to enrich uranium and figures out only the “more equal” Corporate Citizens care about immigration reform, he finally decides to take on jobs and the economy. Of course with his destructive touch we might be lucky that he hasn’t been working on jobs and the economy.

I long for the days when we had a president who understood when he was losing the battle and decided it was time to compromise, a president who was realistic not idealistic. Idealism leads you nowhere if it isn’t working in reality.

    • piper says:

His idealism is having plenty of money so he doesn’t ever have to get a job, and maintain his beard in luxury while he lives as far away from her as possible.

I don’t think Obama has any ideals, principles, or personal convictions whatsoever. He’s only interested in looking out for Numero Uno.

On the iran del, i heard it hasn’t even technically started yet because there is more paper work that needs to be signed. Heritage foundation on cspan was saying that there isno timetable in the iran doc so iran could start to abide by the deal on the last day of the 6 months, so they can keep enriching. It also can keep getting extended until eternity depending on kerry and obama only and if they only think iran is abiding by the rules in their own minds, no one elses advice needs to be taken into consideration before thise two decide to keep extending. They have gone beyond congress in this matter, the way it is written. Not to mention the international community beyond this p+5 has no say either including israel. So basically the actual paper and not the white house talking points paper is a P.O.S. Because it is written as if an amateur wrote it and very ambiguous. No timetables etc. so my conclusion since it was written so weakly is that this was just a distraction from the failure of obamacare. And so this obamacare thing must be even worse for this admin than anyone thought since they used a flimsy half assed peace document with iran to distract from ocare….

  4. Ever notice how juvenile 404 makes his arguments? Nothing is complex or nuanced. At first I thought he was merely talking down to LiV’s, but lately it’s dawned on me the greatest-presidential-mind ever probably isn’t.

    parody account of course

I’m being a complete ass to my Obot relatives and friends who complain about their health care under Obamacare. I just give them a mock concern look and say “Wow, you better start hoping for a change, oh wait what you got was a change for the worse.” Whats Thanksgiving without a little conflict? Besides I have a boat load of booze put in for the occasion and in my family that makes it a good party.
