Everything Wrong With Progressivism In One Tweet

Why do Vile Progs hate democracy? Because elitism and democracy are mutually incompatible.

It’s just a coincidence that Vile Progs define “elite” as “us” and “non-elite” as “everybody else.” In a true meritocracy most of the self-proclaimed elites like Josh Barro wouldn’t make the cut.

Or his idol either, as Peggy Noonan has finally discovered:

  2. threewickets says:

Peggy’s right. Like a crew of excited kids running around pretending they’re on West Wing.

    • threewickets says:

Sorry, I saw Peggy’s link before Barro’s tweet. What a twit. Isn’t Josh the pseudo-con who loves Obama.

    • Constance says:

I don’t usually like Peggy Noonan but if you edited that piece down to about half it would be very insightful.

  3. DandyTIger says:

This idiot and others like him can’t talk about and argue about policies with someone who disagrees. They just think they’re right and know better, and so there is no reason to argue with the unwashed. Occasionally they’ll stoop to talk to a peasant. But if the peasant asks a tough question, one tough enough to cause cognitive dissonance, they very quickly explode and start calling names. It’s sad, but still kind of entertaining to watch. They definitely couldn’t cut it anywhere that required actual intellect and skill. They are as empty as their leader.

  4. DandyTIger says:

How Obamacare was sold is the very definition of bait and switch. And the continuing push of it is the very definition of we know better and the end justifies the means. And what’s sad is the ones pushing it seem to be clueless about where that inevitably leads.

    • fif says:

That’s why they have the new argument, since Obama is caught in his bold-faced lies, that it’s ok if he lies because he knows what is best for us.

“all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others!” is it absolutely necessary that the next 3 years play out as a reenactment of animal farm?

OT. Looks like it’s that season again. While en route to pick up the Boss of the World at pre-school this afternoon my honey and I witnessed a Murder. Yep, right there on the sidewalk. They flew off when we got close to ’em.

  8. helenk3 says:

considering that these fools are willing to accept lies and the contempt that backtrack shows them they have changed the meaning of the word elite into poor little fool.
Half of them have never been on their own, had to make important decisions and could not cross the street by themselves.

here is a good example of just what they will believe, it does not have to be true, it just has to come from backtrack’s mouth

    • DandyTIger says:

But it’s Republican’s fault that it happened, not Obama’s. Even though he’s practically a dictator and they have almost no power. He said so.

Did you ever notice that the people the tell you how smart they are, are usually not

  11. Lulu says:

This guy needs an editor so he doesn’t look like he is constantly bleating cries for help. He needs a job so he doesn’t have time to twitter his angst. His world is crumbling because the smartest people in the entire history of the world (Harvard) didn’t put a Pay Now clicker on a web site before they demanded that several million peoples’ health insurance be terminated. This is the stupidest thing ever done in the history of, well, anything. Their world is crumbling because they are really that stupid. And we, the non-stupid, should say so.

Some of the health insurance carriers are just rolling customers over into more expensive shit plans with higher deductibles, co-pays and premiums. Surprise! Your plan is canceled and we have a new shit plan just for you! Think you can qualify for a subsidy? Too late! And that crap site doesn’t work anyway! Here is your bill for January. http://dailycaller.com/2013/12/03/some-people-get-switched-automatically-to-more-expensive-insurance-plans-under-obamacare/

You do know that Barro is a Republican, don’t you? Moron.

  15. votermom says:

    • I think that’s a distinct possibility. The ‘rule of law’ protects the governing as much as the governed. Two-way street.
Elites seem too dumb to comprehend that equation. The vast numbers of former military patriots living amongst us far outweigh the size of assumed ‘loyal’ federal forces available to them, and IMO that number is far softer than they imagine.

  18. On topic; 404bots may simply be a logical result of the “everyone is special” meme. If you’ve never been told there’s a slight chance you could be wrong about something, or that when a game is played someone usually loses, too, then all your assumptions must be perfectly correct. Ergo, you do not possess mature self-correction skills. It’s impossible to entertain the concept you might ever be wrong.
I know this is overly broad, but still think it plays a significant part in understanding what’s happened.

Noonan said something similar about O and his staff – because they’re all about “words”, seemingly thinking if they say something, that magically makes it happen or makes it true, and because they have never *done* anything, they have no idea how to anticipate or fix problems.

I really think O and his elite staff should get an award. Has any president ever done anything this effed up, this AMATEUR? They only started writing the code last spring for rollout this fall, they never tested it, they still haven’t finished it (reconciliation and billing parts have not even been started, and security was never even built into the website), but they roll it out anyway and it fails. And of course, the website job was given to a company which Canada had previously fired for not getting the job done, and it was given to them in a no bid contract – and oh yeah, the person in charge of that company is a friend of Obama’s wife from Princeton. Obama tells lots of lies for years before the rollout, even though he had to know that at SOME point he’d be found out to be a liar. And he didn’t have one single one-one-one meeting with Sebelius for the 3.5 years they were “getting this ready”.

I always wondered why his fangirls and fanboys always said, “oh he’s SO smart”, even though we’ve never seen any evidence of it. Suddenly they’re not saying that exactly, they’ve changed it to, “well, he knows what’s best for us (they weren’t really lies, he hasn’t really screwed up)”. OMG these idiots are our future.

Really, there has to be some award. I can’t believe even a narcissist could be so clueless as to take his self-proclaimed signature legacy achievement and roll it out all effed up. But he did.

Obamacare is Obama in a nutshell. He’s was screwed up dude, and our fellow Americans were dumb enough to re-elect him.

Jesus, is he EVER gonna STFU?! He was droning on and on (blaming the GOP, etc) before I went out to do errands.

Just got back (no quick trip), and he’s STILL running his goddam mouth.

How many more days (in a row, during Christmas season) did he say he was gonna do this?! I’m about to lose it…..

That sounds like one of the Obots really really smart elite solutions. We should probably also rename our debt and maybe relaunch it.
