The 2nd pic is hilarious. He looks just like a cartoon cat.
The expression looks just like the female cat in Pepe LePew, when the skunk was hugging her.
You mean “sexually assaulting” her, don’t you?
#rapeculture
The whole rape culture thing makes me nuts. Rape has zero to do with sex, and nothing to do with Patriarchy or gender roles, either. Know what it has to do with? Violence.
If you plot the overall violent crime rate on a graph, up and down, over years, the rape rate tracks it almost EXACTLY. Rape occurs a lot where all kinds of violence occurs a lot, period.
Rape culture is kinda like global warming in that everything is proof it exists. Even denying the existence of rape culture is proof of rape culture.
Well seems an LA gay bar is going to bar lawmakers who support legislation they do not like. Would be funny if it was not so scary.

They probably just want respectable clientele.
True dat.
That only works if they ban lawmakers, period.
Nicely done. Just the right amount of cynicism.

why is this NOT a surprise?

Is there any department in today’s government that is worth a dime?
When you have to ask the question, you probably already know the answer.
That’s udderly disgusting. I guess them boys was in the moood for love.
This reminds me of a Lillyhammer ep where a distraught farmer finds out his goat was assaulted.
That’s baaad.
Lillyhammer is hilarious – can’t wait for season 3.
Loved seeing Jake Tapper questioning her “nanny state” hectoring on his show today. Wait. What? It was on his FB feed. He got a thunking, as did Ms Flotus. I keep trying to remind Tapper and his followers that Let’s Move sucked milions off of poverty programs to finance this silly stuff. Like financing her trips/videos/happydances with celebrities. Just imagine if Laura Boooooosh did this stuff?

just saw that retiring congressman Dingle’s wife plans to run for his seat. He got it from his father 58 years ago. guess it is a family affair
A Dingell Dynasty.
I’m old enough to remember when people complained that Travis Tritt wasn’t authentic C&W because he was “too rock & roll.”
This one could have been sung back in the 40’s:
So sweet. Where did that kind of attitude go? I like this one too:
If I was producing this I would add some bagpipes.
I always use my bagpipes when I produce.
I will always associate this song with the 2008 Democratic primary:
I always enjoy looking at the top 40 lists from previous years. There are a lot of “hits” from the past that have vanished from airplay, and there are songs that didn’t top the charts but they are still around.
songs banned from radio stations
many songs in the 50s had two versions. one for white radio stations and one for black stations.
Yep. And the Carolina beach music “shag dancing” subculture came about because white kids used to sneak down to the open beach pavilions and listen/dance to the black versions. It’s still huge in South Carolina to this day.
One of the nicest things today about that Carolina “shagging culture” is that when you go down to those beach bars and shag dives, EVERYBODY dances. Little kids. Old people. Young people. It’s so different from the whole youth-focused club scene. It really is kind of a unique thing. Here’s a really old couple, strutting their stuff at a Carolina beach dive:
I love this song. I don’t know when I first heard it. But when I heard it in the movie “Bull Durham” I broke out I a huge grin! Besides wonderful lines like, “Well, I believe in the soul, the cock, the pussy, the small of a woman’s back, the hangin’ curveball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent over-rated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days.”, the soundtrack contributes to my utter enjoyment of that movie.
Yup, makes me smile – every time.
This song was on the flip side of Ode to Billie Joe

I love women with a twang or a drawl:
YEAH. No more autocorrect. All i had to do was turn it off. I am an idiot.
Some songs you like the first time you hear them:
That’s a classic.
Too bad she’s a flaming Obot:
A flaming Obot is kinda like an inflamed hemorrhoid, only more annoying.
wonder if they would know how to dance to this today?
I always like the Chet Atkins version. He could make that guitar thump!
