Tinfoil Hat Tuesday – Going to Cray Z. Town

This Israel/Palestine thing really brings them out of the woodwork. Let’s start with Salon:

This is why Washington is awful: Senators congratulate themselves for giving Israel more money

The last piece of business that the Senate got done Friday morning before adjourning for the August recess was passing $225 million in funding for Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system. No problem if you missed that news because you simply assume Congress, even this Congress, will pass whatever the hell Israel wants. You were right. It will!

The vote came on a long night after which the Senate agreed to a temporary patch (as in, no long-term solution) to the Highway Trust Fund. Republicans and a couple of red-state Democrats filibustered Harry Reid’s border supplemental. Mike Enzi, acting on Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s orders, blocked unanimous consent for two-dozen diplomatic appointments because Senate Republicans are still mad over the “nuclear option.” Additional funding to fight wildfires went nowhere. It’s on these and other issues — a lot of appropriations bills — that the Senate has decided it can wait until September to either resolve or leave unresolved. No big rush.

But there was never, ever, any reasonable doubt that the Senate would leave without shoving more money at Israel. Which is what makes this little bit of bipartisan back-patting following Friday’s passage so hilarious.

It’s quite a sign of congressional dysfunction that agreeing to give Israel money now counts as not just a significant accomplishment worthy of boisterous self-congratulation, but “one of our finer moments,” and a sign that maybe the Senate isn’t so broken after all. In terms of sure things, giving Israel money is perhaps only rivaled by getting seniors in swing states their Social Security checks on time. It doesn’t matter which Congress it is, or how dysfunctional things get. If there was another Civil War and a batch of states seceded from the union but Israel still needed its war money, the two sides would call a cease-fire, the seceding states would temporarily rejoin the union, go to Congress to pass the funding, and then resecede and continue fighting.

There are more paragraphs, all along the same line. Nowhere in the article does the author (Jim Newell, formerly of Wonkette) explain why giving money to Israel for a purely-defensive weapon system is a bad thing.

Iron Dome shoots down Hamas missiles. Maybe someday soon it will be used to shoot down Iranian missiles too. During the past month the IDF has used up a lot of anti-missile missiles. This is one of the reasons that the casualty rate has been so one-sided.

So why does Newell oppose the funding? Is he a born-again budget hawk of does he just hate Israel?

Now here’s a Hamas spokesman:

CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer confronted a Hamas spokesman on Monday, demanding that he address previous claims he made that Jews killed Christians to use their blood in the baking of matzos.

Osama Hamdan appeared on Blitzer’s “Situation Room” on the cable network on Monday, stating the organization’s positions in regard to Israel’s Operation Protective Edge in Gaza.

Several minutes into the interview, Blitzer asked Hamdan to explain some “very disturbing” comments he had made recently to the Al-Quds television station. Blitzer read out MEMRI’s English translation of the comments, which he said had been verified as accurate by CNN:

“We all remember how the Jews used to slaughter Christians in order to mix their blood with their holy matzos. This is not a figment of the imagination or something taken from a film; it is a fact acknowledged by their own books and historical evidence.”

Blitzer then asked Hamdan, “You believe that Jews would kill Christians to mix their blood to bake the holy matzos on Passover? Is that your belief Mr Hamdan?”

Hamdan said that his comments had come in response to a plan by Deputy Knesset Speaker Moshe Feiglin (Likud) for the “complete destruction of Gaza.”

Hamdan claimed that his comments had been misconstrued and that he had also said on the same occasion that Hamas “doesn’t have a problem with the Jews, as Palestinians and Muslims.”

Blitzer insisted that Hamdan answer the question, replaying the clip from Al-Quds televison, translated by MEMRI (Middle East Media Research Institute).

Hamdan said MEMRI had edited the tape to cover the “genocide” being carried out by Israel in Gaza.

“We’re going to leave it there, but I was hoping to get a flat denial from you that you would utter such ridiculous words,” Blitzer said.

It’s cool though, cuz Hamdan says he has Jewish friends.

If you think that was cray-cray, get a load of this from PressTV:

9/11 probe closing in on Israel

Netanyahu’s genocidal onslaught in Gaza has done more to delegitimize the Zionist entity than the work of all the world’s anti-Zionists put together. Yet the Israeli military cannot stop the Palestinian resistance; from an Israeli standpoint, the hecatomb in Gaza serves no military or strategic purpose.

Is Israel insane?

That is a rhetorical question. The real question is: WHY is Israel lashing out like a nation gone mad?

At least since the first Intifada – and arguably since 1948 – Israel has had a de facto official policy of butchering Palestinian children. (For details, see my recent article “Child-Killing Sociopaths of Israel.”)

But until now they were sane enough to hide it.

Today they are bragging about it. On the very day I wrote my article about Israel’s policy of intentionally mass-murdering children, Israeli sniper David D. Ovadia posted a picture of himself with his sniper rifle on Instagram boasting: “I killed 13 childrens (sic) today and ur next ***ing muslims go to hell bitches.” Rather than prosecuting this war criminal, the Israeli media and authorities are making a half-hearted effort to cover up the crime – just as they did with the more than 600 sniper murders of defenseless children documented by British Medical Journal in 2004.

If Gates is right, the Zionists must be taking desperate measures because they are in a desperate situation. In my recent article “Israel: A cornered rat” I explained why the Israelis are desperate: The are facing a demographic challenge; the Palestinian resistance is getting better at asymmetrical warfare; and global public opinion (especially American public opinion) is gradually, inexorably turning against them.

But I left out what may be the most important factor: The slow, steady progress of the 9/11 truth movement.

Wait . . . what?

The second 9/11 truth breakthrough this week was the success of the High Rise Safety Initiative in New York City, which would force a new investigation of the obvious (but officially denied) controlled demolition of World Trade Center Building 7. Organizers of the initiative finished gathering the 100,000 signatures they need to override a mayoral veto, virtually guaranteeing that the initiative will be voted on by the citizens of New York. Since Architects and Engineers for 9/11 truth has acquired WTC-7’s blueprints and found slam-dunk proof of demolition, and since organized crime kingpin Larry Silverstein’s confession to demolishing WTC-7 has become widely known, the new investigation by New York’s Department of Buildings is threatening to rip the lid off the Pandora’s box of 9/11 scandals.

The week’s third 9/11 truth triumph was in the US Congress. The effort to force the declassification of 28 top-secret pages in the Joint Congressional Inquiry got a huge boost when two more Congressmen, Representatives Thomas Massie (R-KY) and John Duncan (R-Tenn), joined the campaign – a bipartisan effort spearheaded by Rep. Steve Lynch (D-MA) and Walter Jones (R-NC), and vocally supported by former Senator Bob Graham (D-FL).

A few days ago Sen. Graham once again spoke out, saying: “None of the people leading this investigation think it is credible that 19 people — most who could not speak English and did not have previous experience in the United States — could carry out such a complicated task without external assistance.” Graham added that a “huge breakthrough” is coming for 9/11 truth.

Whose “external assistance” enabled the 9/11 attacks? Rep. Walter Jones, who has read the suppressed pages of the Report, blames “one or more foreign governments.” The two countries on everyone’s lips are Saudi Arabia and Israel.

The Report apparently does not mention a third government whose officials helped perpetrate 9/11: the government of the United States of America, whose Vice President briefly usurped the role of the President of the United States and directed the 9/11 false flag operation from the White House Situation Room.

Well, okay then. This guys sounds really credible!

In 2001 Saudi Arabia allowed the CIA to borrow fifteen Saudi intelligence assets and bring them to the US on “snitch visas” – special visas used to reward Saudi CIA assets with a trip to America. These fifteen young men, some from the Kingdom’s leading families, were shadowed, impersonated, and in some cases apparently replaced by doubles. (The pork-chop-loving “Mohammed Atta” in Florida was a fluent speaker of Hebrew according to his stripper girlfriend Amanda Keller.)

The Israeli Mossad appears to have been responsible for surveilling and setting up the 19 patsies, 15 of them Saudis, who would be blamed for 9/11; reports by journalists Christopher Ketcham and Justin Raimondo, and an investigative report by Carl Cameron of Fox News, revealed that Israel mounted the biggest spy operation ever against the US as it surveilled (or “ran”) the 9/11 hijacker-patsies. Hundreds of 9/11-related Israel spies were arrested; all were quickly released on orders from above.

The Israeli Mossad also set up the controlled demolitions of the Twin Towers and WTC-7. Zionist crime kingpins Larry Silverstein, Lewis Eisenberg and Frank Lowy arranged for the condemned-for-asbestos World Trade Center to be “privatized” two months before 9/11 and doubled the terror insurance; and Mossad agents Paul Kurzberg, Silvan Kurzberg, Israelis Yaron Shmuel, and Omer Gavriel Marmari were arrested on the morning of 9/11 as they were filming and celebrating their agency’s handiwork. Though the 9/11-perp Mossad agents failed polygraph tests, Michael Chertoff, a US-Israeli dual citizen then in charge of the FBI’s Criminal Investigation Division, killed the investigation and ordered the “dancing Israelis” sent back to Israel.

Three Israelis were also arrested in New York on 9/11 with a truck load of explosives in an apparent effort to blow up the George Washington Bridge. Chertoff ordered mobbed-up New York Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik to destroy all records of the arrest, and witnesses have been murdered; but the New York Police audio recording of the arrest escaped destruction and can be heard on YouTube.

This is only a tiny fraction of the evidence implicating Israel in 9/11. For more information, visit the Wikispooks web page entitled “9/11: Israel Did It.”

What can Israel do about the coming revelations of its role in the 9/11 attacks?

The answer is simple: Israel must “flee forward” into an ever-widening spiral of global war; because if peace ever breaks out, America’s post-9/11 wartime State of Emergency will end, secrecy restrictions will be lifted, 9/11 will be investigated and prosecuted, Israel will be exposed, and Zionism and US imperialism will go the way of apartheid South Africa and the Soviet Union.

I’m convinced! Who was that masked man?

Dr. Kevin Barrett, a Ph.D. Arabist-Islamologist, is one of America’s best-known critics of the War on Terror. Dr. Barrett has appeared many times on Fox, CNN, PBS and other broadcast outlets, and has inspired feature stories and op-eds in the New York Times, the Christian Science Monitor, the Chicago Tribune, and other leading publications. Dr. Barrett has taught at colleges and universities in San Francisco, Paris, and Wisconsin, where he ran for Congress in 2008. He is the co-founder of the Muslim-Christian-Jewish Alliance, and author of the books Truth Jihad: My Epic Struggle Against the 9/11 Big Lie (2007) and Questioning the War on Terror: A Primer for Obama Voters (2009). His website is http://www.truthjihad.com.

He definitely sounds like a Tea Partier to me.

Seriously though, you don’t have to scratch very deep on the surface of these “anti-Zionist” types to uncover a motherload of hardcore antisemitism Jew hating mixed with whackadoodle conspiracy theories.

Don’t look at me like that. I told you we were going to crazytown.

Imma gonna go make some breakfast.

Hey! I slaved over my where is klown post, you know! I must have spent 5 minutes on it!

    You feeling ok today?

    • The Klown says:

      Better but not normal.

(I haven’t been normal in years.)

        Try some Vicks VapoRub.
(I’ve decided to turn into the dad from My Big Fat Greek Wedding, except that instead of Windex for anything that ails you, I’m going to prescribe vaporub.)

        • lildoggy4u says:

Well this piece you wrote is a doozy. You must’ve been hallucinating when you wrote it. I thought I was reading it. Haven’t ever heard any of this stuff before. And this guy is running loose on college campuses? “Questioning the War on Terror: A Primer for Obama Voters (2009)” must be a handout at OFA meetings.

  2. The Klown says:

    I missed one:

Enter another universe now where the American press is an ethnocentric jingoist monolith plagued by racism against Muslims. That, at least, is journalist Glenn Greenwald’s take.

In an interview with Huffington Post Lives’ Marc Lamont Hill, who just yesterday called Israel’s inability to entirely prevent civilian casualties when that is the enemy objective suggestive that this is “an unjust war,” Greenwald said that the American press deserves an “F” for their coverage of the conflict.

“There’s no question that the way that the American media covers this conflict is based on the principle that Israeli lives are just inherently more valuable than Palestinian lives,” Greenwald slandered.

“It takes probably 50 Palestinians being killed to get anywhere near the attention of, say, an elderly Israeli woman being frightened in her home and having some kind of a medical problem because of the trauma,” he continued.

“I think there’s a racist element to it. I think there’s an ethnocentric element to it,” the independent journalist and Edward Snowden confidant said of the American media’s coverage of the war. “There’s definitely an anti-Muslim strain that runs throughout how this coverage is conducted.”

    • SHV says:

“. “There’s definitely an anti-Muslim strain that runs throughout how this coverage is conducted.”
That’s crazy. How long would Greenwald, a gay Jew, stay alive living in any Muslim country? Islam is the antithesis of everything that Vile Progs allegedly stand for but they love Islam, that is crazy.

  3. fif says:

It’s true that the media’s bias is affecting public opinion. You (& by “you” I mean the Klown & many of you here) have more detailed knowledge of this age-old battle than I do. What is your response when people defend the Palestinian response as an understandable reaction to forced imprisonment in inhumane conditions – and Israel’s continued encroachment? I did my best but didn’t have the depth of understanding to continue the debate beyond a certain point. Listening to a network report in the background over the weekend, it’s all “Big Bad Israel & the poor defenseless children.” Thanks always for the education here – I trust you guys more than the idiotic non-stop propaganda machine and the sheeple who eat it up.

    • The Klown says:

You can’t talk sense to those people.

      • lildoggy4u says:

Watch the background as the Palestinian fires his missles. Yes, those are little children.

        • votermom says:

The guy who fires the missile runs away but there is an older guy deliberately keeping the kids there.
Scum. Only scum deliberately put the next generation in mortal danger.

        • WMCB says:

This may actually be Syria, not Gaza. But the point remains – I have seen the Islamists use this “strategy” over and over and over, in so many conflicts.

If you keep doing it, don’t get mad at me when I quite reasonably assume its being done.

          • Constance says:

Yeah I would like to see the stats on how many girls vs boy Palestinian children are being harmed and what percentage of wounded or dead children and adults are handicapped or mentally ill. Also seems like a way to get rid of a used up unwanted wife.

    • WMCB says:

I ask them why, after Israel voluntarily withdrew from Gaza in hope of peace, there were NO fences or checkpoints for 2 years. Then Israel built them. Why? Gee, what happened in those two years that could possibly have prompted Israel to fence out Gaza? WHY WAS THE BLOCKADE PUT IN PLACE after 2 yrs? What prompted it? Could it be kidnapping after bombing after suicide attack in Israels’ population centers?

I also ask then why Egypt has built the EXACT same type of “blockade” on their border with Gaza, but no one screams about that being “genocidal oppression.” Again, why? WHY IS THERE NO PROTEST AGAINST THOSE “NAZI” EGYPTIANS? It’s the same sort of blockade. Why does not-Jew Egypt get a pass?

Israel has GIVEN up land time after time since 1967. Massive amounts. Every time being promised peace to do it. But somehow, a couple of disputed houses/farms become Israel as imperial conquest-monger. WHY? Why do they get no credit for all the territory they have voluntarily withdrawn from?

You don’t have to dig very deep to find that it’s all about the Joooooos, and the fact that a certain part of the Arab world wants them GONE, period. And no, I don’t think every dumb prog going along with this (as opposed to those fomenting it) is a jew-hater. I just think they are stupid and soooooo easily hooked and manipulated by cries of “injustice.”

    • Lauren says:

The Palestinian Arabs created their own inhumane conditions and they have imprisoned themselves all the while screaming “victimhood(how many years now?)” and utilizing every resource available to wage war and terror on Israeli people. And that has always been and still is their choice.

  4. The Klown says:

    Aw fuck:

A United States Army major general was killed on Tuesday by an Afghan soldier, shot at close range at a military training academy on the outskirts of Kabul, an official of the American-led coalition and Afghan media reported Tuesday. The officer was the highest-ranking member of the American military to die in hostilities in the Afghanistan war.

Other details of the shooting were sketchy, and the coalition official would only confirm that “an incident” had taken place at the Afghan National Army Officer Academy.

  5. DeniseVB says:

    Cool video…..

    • lizzy says:

That is going into the lion’s den! Many of the merchants on 47th St are Hasidic Jews. You see them in their beaver hats, prayer shawls, side curls and beards. No wonder there was such a reaction to the twit demonstrators. It’s not smart to protest where you are outnumbered and out shouted.

  6. Lulu says:

What I am finding especially enlightening is who the anti-Semites are. It tracks almost exactly to Vile Progs or well known dumb socialists types. There are exceptions of course but not many. They would have been from the same upper class Nazi sympathizers in the 1930’s or the academic or unionists reds in the US and Europe. I think it is a class thing rather than a ideological one in most ways. Jews are a threat to them and always have been.

    • WMCB says:

Oh, much of the “Jew conspiracy” shit is simply the fact that Jews have, historically, been very productive, driven, frugal, and wealthy. They’re a smart people. Ashkenazi Jews have, on average, the highest IQ of any group. And it shows in what they accomplish. They also have had, of necessity, to “look out for their own”, which is an advantageous thing for any group to do.

I’m not Jewish, but it doesn’t bother me in the slightest to say that the average Jew is likely smarter than the average member of my own “tribe”. I don’t feel threatened by that at all. Why would I be? It’s merely an observation of reality, not some existential threat to me, or a commentary on my worth as a human being. Reality just is what it is, has nothing to do with my personal value.

But to progs, ANYONE, and particularly any group (except their own elites) being “better” at ANYTHING is a bitter pill, a horrible thought, and not to be tolerated.

      • votermom says:

It’s actually Darwinism in action – they have been so persecuted as a group for so long that the smartest/strongest survived. Also they developed the strong community bond as survival strategy.

  7. Somebody says:

Sheesh that was a jaunt through crazy town, my head hurts.

  8. Kathy says:

Does this finally shoot a hole in the ‘Jews control the media?’

  9. 49erDweet says:

De cray-cray could be more believable if it contained elements of the OJ situation, but OTT it’s whackoville. For instance, if the Hamas guys rode around in a white Ford Bronco…….

  10. Constance says:

The thing is I do believe there is Jew hating in the world. But there is also woman hating, man hating, Muslim hating, Christian hating, gay hating, etc. And I don’t think the Islamist terrorists hate Jews any worse than they hate women, gays, and Christians. There is too much hate in the world in general and hate directed towards Jews isn’t special hate. Jews haven’t been more persecuted over time than women. And by saying that I am not saying it is OK to hate Jews so don’t hysterically start saying I believe a bunch of anti Jew crap, I don’t. Yes Jews all over the world are under assault because of who they are. Women all over the world are under assault because of who they are. If you want to quantify the problem of hate there are more women and girls in the world than there are Jews. Hate is a big problem in the world for many people.

  11. Constance says:

I would also say that when our government is able to act to serve the needs of illegal immigrants and others from foreign countries but is unable to act to serve the needs of tax paying citizens then there is a big problem. Who needs a useless government with drunken sailor spending habits and no regard for citizens/taxpayers? And that is not a comment on whether the foreign countries and illegal aliens have legitimate problems. It is a comment that says the Federal government is a humongous useless burden to the Citizens of the USA.

    • The Klown says:

My uncle was a drunken sailor and he takes offense at that expression. He says drunken sailors only use their own money and when they go broke they stop spending.

  15. WMCB says:

Another clue that a lot of the “we’re not anti-Jew, just don;t like what Israel is doing” is a very thin veneer of bullshit: I see protest after protest after protest deliberately staged in front of synagogues and Jewish community centers. Yet I don’t see the pro-Israel rallies making a point to go scream on the steps of a local mosque. Why?

    • Lauren says:

Thank you for making that point WBCB. “very thin veneer of bullshit” indead. Another one of many examples of the “double standard” applied to Jews by the vile progs(especially the brainwashed youth) and the left wing media tools. The fact that Pro-Israel rallies don’t scream hateful screed and lies on the steps of local mosques underscore the difference between civil and humanitarian values(American values) and the hate filled vengence seeking, violent, anti-semitic dogma of Hamas and their supporters. Other questions to ponder; Why don’t they ever protest suicide bombings, kidnappings, the slaughter of Palistinian Arabs by other Palistinian Arab? Where did all of the international aide to the Gaza and West Bank (over the past 40+ years) including buliding materials for infrastructure go? What have the Palistinian Arabs done with the billions of dollars amassed over the decades? Yasar Arifat, PLO ring a bell?
And they don’t like what Israel is doing??? If that ain’t crazy I don’t know what is. OK, just stop the world now I wanna get off!

      • WMCB says:

Look, I’m not one to say that Israel has *always* taken the wisest course, or has *never* been stubborn or harsh unnecessarily. Or that no bigoted, blindly muslim-hating Jews exist, ever, anywhere.

But the overall contrast of what I see when I look at the speech/actions/protests of the pro-Palis vs. the pro-zionists is so stark as to be ridiculous. For years and years, I’ve watched the bile and hate and triumphalism pour forth from the radical Islamist side. Always with a new excuse or issue once the previous one is resolved, but remarkably the same, decade after decade.

Sorry, but I’m backing the civilized (warts and all) vs. the barbarians.

Amen to that. I don’t know of a wise or perfect country anywhere in the world either, but I’m very clear on what side I’m on.

        • John Denney says:

A Jewish friend ran this thought experiment on me:
Imagine the Middle East completely disarmed, but the Israelis fully armed. What would happen?
Now imagine the Israelis completely disarmed and all their neighbors fully armed. What would happen?

          • WMCB says:

Exactly. Israel is not perfect. It’s not that they can do no wrong. But no sane and honest person can run that thought experiment and not see a HUGE difference.

          • Lauren says:

Thank-you for that. Critical thinking still exists! (along side of the truth).

          • 1539days says:

I still think a disarmed Israel would be bad for those Middle East dictatorships. The day after Israel was gone, the people in those countries would realize “hey, all the Jews are gone. Why is my country still so shitty?”

          • Constance says:

I think the Jews are conducting a effective and sane war. It has to be very hard to keep your humane principles in the face of war but the Israelis are doing it. I wish our leaders would take some lessons from them starting with don’t get involved in wars unless you are directly threatened.

About 20% of my town was without power from this afternoon to early evening. It was pretty hot today so a lot of folks were outside when I walked Ellie around 5. A group of folks were trying to figure out how widespread the outage was. It turned out to be concentrated in one voting precinct although I think I was the only one who knew where the voting precinct lines are.:-) Anyway, I said it was probably because our piece of town votes Republican more often than not. I was kidding, but the laughter I got was the nervous kind. While no one was willing to admit they had voted for Romney, they were quick to say they had voted for Scott Brown. It turned into an interesting conversation. We have a couple of very vocal Democrats in our precinct, but in general the neighborhood is quietly Republican. I moved on, but they were “talkin” politics” when I left. Which is a good thing because everyone who is a conservative voter in MA thinks he or she must be the only one.

  24. WMCB says:

This is kind of freaky, but amazingly cool at the same time. Israel is using autism spectrum adults for detailed intelligence work.

    • 49erDweet says:

I think we and the Brits did that during the big show because of their ability to detect patterns. Intelligence services kept quiet about it back then because no one knew that much about autism in those days. They thought it was more along the lines of retardation and didn’t want to be accused of abusing workers.
