Rotherham, abundant in spires, bring extra rope

From our TCH regular Lulu:

If anyone is interested I have some background on Rotherham. My dear friend’s husband is a prof in a university in the north of England not far from the Scots border. It seems that the “Asians” grooming and raping underage white girls are ALL Pakistani so far as they can tell. But rather than being economic, religious or political refugees they move there for the livestyle they can have in the UK and are not poor villager types. They own Pakistan essentially and go back and forth to get their money to live on in the UK and utilize the school system for educating their kids, live in nice western houses, have free western public health services, and run rape rings as a hobby or sideline. They are also in cahoots with the Labour party who they support with money and votes to do as they please only in the UK instead of Pakistan.

Her husband has many students from Scotland. She said they (and their families) have flipped almost overnight to supporting separation from the UK because the current professional politicians and bureaucratic government in the UK is so rotten and evil. The entire UK is in an uproar and the media is only covering part of it and trying to downplay or censor just how furious people are.

She also said that most of the Muslims from the middle east and other Muslim countries such as Afghanistan and Pakistan are very well to do or wealthy who live in the UK and don’t “work” or they have various enterprises that don’t actually do anything. They invest in real estate or have travel agencies that schedule airline tickets back and forth to Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, etc. They don’t assimilate because they don’t have to do so. They are mostly independent economically and buy influence to keep their own culture via friendly public policies which the government has readily sold them to the detriment of everyone else. She claims some of the immigrants are already leaving to go home because of the anticipated blowback. This is her American viewpoint anyway from Cumbria.

I think Rotherham, from various reports, seems to be a tipping point for the Brits. Some have been crediting David Cameron’s tough speech on the “poisonous ideology of Islam extremism” to Rotherham blowback as well as to defections to UKIP by former political allies.

It would be a good thing if the UK finally started swinging the pendulum back to more conservative values. Although probably not as satisfying as seeing some rapist criminal pedophiles & enablers swinging from lamp posts.

Btw, Scotland is voting on independence on Sept 18th and apparently the “Yes” votes has suddenly surged ahead. I wonder if this is connected as Lulu indicates and what the impact on immigration will be if Scotland does become independent.

(Also, it is a pet peeve of mine that the UK calls Pakistanis, Indians, and Middle Easterners “Asians.” I ought to retaliate by calling them all “Anglos” or something.)

  2. Lulu says:

Wow. I just thought you all would be interested in what an American living in a working class small northern city in the UK has picked up on and thinks so I threw it in the comments. She and her husband are hicks like I am and they like and respect the people there and especially his students who are mostly working class kids who are very similar to his prior students at a state university here.

  3. The Klown says:

    What is “UKIP”?

    • votermom says:

      AFAICT, teabagging raycists, Brit-style.

    • 49erDweet says:

Another of the several Brit politcal parties currently holding seats in Parliament and likely various local slots, too.

    • Propertius says:

U.K. Independence Party. Their platform includes withdrawing from the EU (but not the European trade regime) and tighter border and immigration controls. Since they don’t advocate doing away with NHS, they’d be considered “commies” over here.

    I love this story:

Filipino force defied UN commander in Golan crisis
Manila says it ordered its troops to fight back and escape, instead of surrendering to the Syrian Islamists as the UN wished
MANILA, Philippines (AP) — The Philippine military said Monday that a UN peacekeeping commander in the Golan Heights should be investigated for allegedly asking Filipino troops to surrender to Syrian rebels who had attacked and surrounded their camp.

Gen. Gregorio Pio Catapang said he advised the 40 Filipino peacekeepers not to lay down their arms, and they defied the UN peacekeeping commander’s order. Instead, they staged a daring escape from the Golan camp over the weekend, ending a tense, dayslong standoff.

If the people he’s trying to reach have TV sets, why do they not have sanitation? I’m truly just asking. It would seem to me that priorities would be safe water and indoor plumbing over TV. Or was this sent out over airwaves where no one there can receive the broadcast, and this is a publicity stunt for us in the USA?

      • leslie says:

If those people he’s trying to reach do have tv sets, they probably do what I do whenever he speaks. I turn off the sound.

Maybe blacks should support the 2nd amendment if they are afraid of “more government.”

    • gumsnapper says:

Uh, HS is under the control of the executive branch and its head is appointed by Obama.

    • Propertius says:

This report isn’t sourced at all. I’ve looked on the websites of the local newspaper and TV station and, while I’ve found several mentions of the councilwoman’s name, I haven’t seen any accounts of her making any statements like this. I’m not entirely sure I buy it.

I don’t see anyone working in that picture. Schmoozing or grinning like an idiot maybe but not working. In another quote from a speech Obama said “if he was working his butt off” he would belong to a union or something. “If” being the qualifier that would never apply to him. He really is ridiculous.

  10. gumsnapper says:

Asia is a continent. Wouldn’t that be similar to lumping Mexicans, Canadians, and US citizens into the term, “North Americans”? What a useless category. Do they also refer to Egyptians and Algerians as “Africans?”

      • Lulu says:

It is used to confuse and obfuscate. I have seen a few Hindu descent people taking exception to the term in the UK press. Also some Asian “Asian’s” are thrilled either. They know why that term is used. The full politically correct term started out as South Asian which was shortened to Asian.

    • votermom says:

Btw, I love your new gravatar.

    • elliesmom says:

My 8th graders were quite put out that our new Brazilian students called themselves “Americans”, but they were every bit as entitled to call themselves that as kids from the USA. Canadians and Mexicans are “Americans”, too. Geographically, people from India, and her neighbors are from the Asian subcontinent. So they are “Asians”. We used to use the term “Oriental” to describe people from Far East Asia, but it was decided to be a pejorative term about the same time Negroes became Blacks. I believe in calling people what they prefer to be called, but sometimes it’s hard to get a whole continent to come to a consensus. This whole problem will still be there in millions of years when the continents split apart again. Then the people will have to agree which part gets to keep the continents original name, and which part has to come up with a new one.

      • Somebody says:

Yes oriental is somehow a pejorative. My grandchildren are half Filipino, their mother although full blooded Filipino was adopted as an infant by a US couple and grew up white middle class. This doesn’t stop her from taking offense at all sorts of supposed slights and prejudices, OY! I think a lot of that and a lot of other things have to do with her prog parents, personally……but I digress.

I’ve learned to sensor myself with regard to patterned rugs, they’re patterned rugs not oriental rugs and the flavor of ramen noodles the kids like is just ramen NOT oriental flavor. Seriously you can’t say that word, it’s ridiculous. I can see taking offense if it is used as a pejorative, but not in describing products……but I just comply and keep my mouth shut……and chew on my tongue. Quite frankly I’m sometimes amazed I still have a tongue.

        • Somebody says:

Ha just thought about it……I’ve never played Monopoly with her, note to self…..don’t.

          • elliesmom says:

Someone on Facebook was looking for cheap party favors, and I suggested they look at the Oriental Trading Company’s website. I got pounced on, but it’s the company’s name. She suggested I refer to it as OTC, but that means something else, and OTC does not get you the online cheap cute junk store in a Googe search. Whatever. The company is fun and great to deal with if you have to supply a summer camp.

          • Somebody says:

I’m very familiar with that quandary. I’ve planned and thrown all the grandkids birthday parties, because if I didn’t it wouldn’t get done…….but don’t mention that company by name, ridiculous.

          • votermom says:

Somebody, if you want to drive her crazy, any time she’s being over the top like that just heave a deep sigh and say “Ay naku” (It’s the Filipino equivalent of “Oy vey”)

          • Somebody says:

Well I would, but as I said she was raised by white Americans, she doesn’t know anything about her native country at all. She just has all these faux Asian cultural rules and crap, selective ones at that. She may look Asian, but she’s as white bread as I am.

          • elliesmom says:

That shirt I could wear to school. My other favorite is “Physics never sucks. It pushes and pulls, but it never sucks.” That one I didn’t wear to school. I didn’t wear the computer one that says, “I have dual floppies”, either. Today I doubt the kids would get that one.

He has always been very skinny especially his limbs. It is probably his body type but since we seldom see him in anything but golf clothes (well cut suits coverup a lot) he looks sickly and puny especially with his whiny, impotent public statements which just emphasize it more.

      • DeniseVB says:

Methinks he may be smoking and other things. How does he sleep at night without a little help. I know stupid stuff can keep me awake, I can’t imagine what goes on in HIS head.

  12. Somebody says:

I hope there is a backlash across the pond, maybe they are finally waking up over there. They stand at the precipice of losing their country due to decades of very liberal policies particularly on immigration. They’ve had far too many years of not seeing the forest for the trees. I hope it’s not too late already given the drastic demographic changes that have already taken place.

I seriously doubt the lemmings here in the US are paying attention, but they should be, we all should be paying very close attention.

  13. The Klown says:

    Via Hot Air:

A former Pentagon official confirms to Fox News that detailed and specific intelligence about the rise of ISIS was included in the PDB, or the President’s Daily Brief, for at least a year before the group took large swaths of territory beginning in June.

The official, who asked not to be identified because the PDB is considered the most authoritative, classified intelligence community product providing the President with analysis of sensitive international events, said the data was strong, and “granular” in detail, adding a policy maker “…could not come away with any other impression: This is getting bad.”

The official who has close knowledge of the process said the President, who reads the PDB unlike his predecessors who traditionally had the document briefed to them, was not known to come back to the intelligence community with further questions or “taskings.” Asked to describe the frequency, the former Pentagon official said “not generally.”

After suggestions that the administration may have been blindsided by the rise of ISIS, and that poor intelligence was to blame, the former Pentagon official said some of the intelligence was so good it was described as “exquisite” when the President drew a red line on chemical weapons use in Syria in 2012.

(Also, it is a pet peeve of mine that the UK calls Pakistanis, Indians, and Middle Easterners “Asians.” I ought to retaliate by calling them all “Anglos” or something.)

Nonsense. If it’s East of the Bosphorus, it’s “Asia” by definition. That’s been the the case since Caesar was a pup. It’s a pet peeve of mine that people use the word “Asian” as a synonym for Chinese/Japanese/Korean/Vietnamese, and somehow manage to ignore 2/3 of Russia, all of South Asia, most of the Arab states, and Israel. This, admittedly, can be a little confusing if you’re in Istanbul. 😉

    • votermom says:

Never mind, as soon as Putin takes over all those pesky “west Asian & south Asian” countries, and ISIS takes over all the desert middle ones, we can all agree that Asian will only refer to East & South-east Asian.
The world will be divided into Putinsia, Headchopistan, Greater Mexifornia, Auzealand, and Asia.

  15. leslie says:

I just got a breaking news email saying
“The ISIS terror group has published a video titled “A second message to America,” showing the beheading of American journalist Steven Sotloff. The video also threatens the life of British captive David Haines.
Sotloff speaks to the camera before he is killed, saying he is “paying the price” for U.S. intervention.”

  16. HELENK3 says:

just announced the scumbag animals isis beheaded American journalist Stephan Sotloff.

since the so called “good” muslims refused to stand up against these animals, consider them enemies of this country too and deport them back to their shithole sand pile countries.
