What A Fool Believes

Obama laugh

Some people on the right will tell you that Obama is a socialist. Others say he’s a closeted Muslim. There are people on the left that claim he’s a conservative. Obama’s supporters think he’s a genius. His detractors believe he’s an idiot.

So what does Obama really believe?

Well first of all, he is NOT a Muslim. Yes, he went to a madrassa for a few years as a child and learned a few verses from the Qur’an, but that doesn’t make him a Muslim anymore than going to a Catholic school makes you a Christian.

Speaking of which, he’s not a Christian either. Obama only went to church in order to ingratiate himself into the black community in Chicago. He learned to talk the talk, but he never walked the walk.

There is no evidence that religion of any kind has ever had a significant influence on Barack Obama. He is his own higher power. There is no God but Barack and Obama is His Prophet.

As far as political ideology he is a mess, which is why it is so hard to pin him down.

Obama spent most of his life marinating in far-left ideology. His mother, grandfather and family friend Frank Marshall Davis began his indoctrination, and his friends in Chicago continued it. But he isn’t really a socialist.

Barack Obama isn’t an authentic African American. If you don’t believe me ask Bobby Rush. Obama is biracial, but his father was African, not African American, and Obama was raised in Hawaii and Indonesia by his white mother and white grandparents. He grew up about as far away from African American culture as it is possible for any American to get.

As a young man Obama liked to portray himself as an exotic semi-foreigner. He falsely claimed that his father was an African prince. He emphasized his years in Indonesia. He quit going by Barry and began calling himself Barack (which he pronounced “Ba-ruch”). He wore a sarong and listened to jazz instead of pop music. He dated white women almost exclusively. His friends were white or Pakistani.

Obama’s first real experience with the African American community came during his time as a “community organizer” in Chicago. He had always had political ambitions but no real political connections. Then Harold Washington surprised everyone by winning the election for Mayor of Chicago.

Barack Obama was hired to help organize the black community in Chicago’s South Side to reelect Washington. Obama had no real connection to Chicago other than Frank Marshall Davis who had lived there in the 1940’s and early 1950’s. Obama was working in NYC at some job writing a monthly news letter analyzing foreign investments. He says he saw an ad for a job as a community organizer and applied.

None of Obama’s memoirs or campaign materials mention getting Harold Washington reelected as Obama’s primary purpose. This is the official story:

Two years after graduating, Obama was hired in Chicago as director of the Developing Communities Project, a church-based community organization originally comprising eight Catholic parishes in Roseland, West Pullman, and Riverdale on Chicago’s South Side. He worked there as a community organizer from June 1985 to May 1988.[31][33] He helped set up a job training program, a college preparatory tutoring program, and a tenants’ rights organization in Altgeld Gardens.[34] Obama also worked as a consultant and instructor for the Gamaliel Foundation, a community organizing institute.[35]

Obama entered Harvard Law School in the fall of 1988.

Washington was elected mayor in 1983 and spent most of his time in office battling power with the infamous Daley Machine. The guys who hired Obama were Washington supporters. GOTV efforts in the predominantly black South Side were essential to winning that struggle. Then in November 1987 Washington died unexpectedly. Obama quit his job as a community organizer in May 1988 and in the fall of that year he entered Harvard Law School. Do the math.

By the time he left for law school Obama had learned two important things: The Alinsky Method and the cultivation, use and value of connections. He had already made important and influential connections in Chicago, including the Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

While at Harvard Obama discovered Critical Race Theory and became the first President of the Harvard Law Review to never publish anything. He graduated, returned to Chicago, and began his political career in earnest. Every move he has made since his return to Chicago was connected to his political ambitions, including his marriage to Michelle Robinson.

Perhaps the single biggest influence in Barack Obama’s life were the years he spent at Punahou School in Hawaii. His attendance at the school and his grandmother’s upper-middle class income allowed young Barry to become a charter member of the elite One Percent Club.

Despite his claims to the contrary, Barack Obama has never been poor. Things may have been a little tight around the budget when he was very young, but that was because his mother was a student at the University of Hawaii. They were never homeless and Barack never missed a meal. Besides, how much could he really remember about those years anyway?

After his mother married Lolo Soetoro and they moved to Indonesia, Obama lived a solid middle-class lifestyle even by American standards. By Indonesian standards they were practically wealthy. This was the late Sixties when there wasn’t nearly as much stuff to buy as there is today.

By the time Obama moved back to Hawaii to live with his grandparents his grandmother (Madeline Dunham) had become a vice-president at the Bank of Hawaii and his grandfather was a supervisor at a major furniture store. That gave them the money and connections to pay for Barack to attend the fanciest prep school in the 50th State.

Barack Obama may have been the poorest kid at Punahou School, but that’s like being the poorest member of the Beverly Hills Country Club. You’re still a member.

Punahou School is where the children of Hawaii’s rich and shameless go to get an education. This gave Barry a peek at la dolce vita of the wealthy and privileged. This is where the real Obama emerges.

Barack Obama is a Bourgeoisie Socialist.

Conservative or Bourgeois Socialism was a term used by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels in various pieces (including in the Communist Manifesto).

The Marxian view is such that the bourgeois socialist is the sustainer of the current state of bourgeois class relations. Opinions vary as to whether this or that bourgeois socialist intentionally is excusing the current order but the common thread is that they are, in objective fact, preserving it.

In this class Marx explicitly referenced Proudhon’s The Philosophy of Misery, stating:

“ The Socialistic bourgeois want all the advantages of modern social conditions without the struggles and dangers necessarily resulting therefrom.

He talks the (watered-down) talk of socialism, but he walks the walk of the elite capitalist class. He bashes wealth while hobnobbing with the richest people in the country. He attacks privilege with his words, while enjoying all its benefits for himself.

This explains his popularity with the so-called “creative class” and Occupy Wall Street types. They are spoiled children of wealth and privilege using their shiny new iPhone 6’s to bemoan the evils of capitalism while sipping pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks.

Barack and Michelle Obama are not unique. The modern left is infested with what Victor Davis Hanson calls “Egalitarian Grandees“:

From academia to the Sierra Club, elite progressives expect to live lives that are quite different from what they envision for the less sophisticated.

The rest of Obama’s ideology is a patchwork of conflicting ideas shrouded by political opportunism. He smoked pot and used cocaine but he opposes the legalization of marijuana. He was against gay marriage before he was for it. He takes money from oil companies but he opposes new oil drilling. He supports civil liberties while spying on Americans.

So what does Obama really believe about all the various social issues? He believes whatever is convenient for him to believe at any given moment. But it really doesn’t matter what he believes because he also does whatever is most convenient for him at that moment without a second thought.

There are some basic liberal ideas that he generally supports (like gay marriage) but not enough to take any political risks over. That’s because he believes that what is good for Obama is good for America.

Ambition, greed and narcissism are the controlling elements of Obama’s personality. Everything he thinks, says and does is run thru that filter. They even overrule his political judgment. That’s why he insists on going golfing despite the criticism it causes.

Obama’s narcissism outshines everything else. He drinks his own Koolaid. When he says he is smarter than his advisors he really believes it. He actually thinks he is a messianic figure who was destined to change the course of history.

“A confidence man knows he’s lying; that limits his scope. But a successful shaman ropes himself first; he believes what he says — and such belief is contagious; there is no limit to his scope.”
– Jubal Harshaw (Robert A. Heinlein, Stranger in a Strange Land)

Those names aren’t set in stone.

      • Somebody says:

Taggert means “Son of the Priest” origin Irish or Gaelic. It’s not a popular boys name, but it is a fairly popular surname. It can also be spelled Taggart.

        • The Klown says:

Taggart won’t fall for that banana in the tailpipe trick.

          • Somebody says:

Haha, when I saw the name Taggert, Beverly Hill Cop was the 1st thing that popped into my mind. When I googled I found out there is a Scottish detective series named Taggart. There was also a marvel comics character named Taggert and a Star Trek character named Taggert. There were two tv characters with that name one on General Hospital and the other on a show called Leverage starring Timoty Hutton which was on from 2008-2012.

I agree with you though Sgt. Taggart hands down! If the nickname Tag doesn’t stick maybe you can just call him Sarge.

          • 1539days says:

And here I thought it was a reference to Atlas shrugged.

    • Jadzia says:

I am sending this picture to my husband as part of the ongoing I WANT A KITTEN campaign. It’s not going well. Your babies are adorable.

      • cynic says:

Living in the country and having barns, we have strays show up pregnant. The pregnant cats aren’t wild, so someone dumped them. Finding homes is always a chore, and sometimes, after I’ve taken momma in to be fixed, she leaves. I’m left with finding homes for the kitties, and usually end up with one. It’s amazing watching the whole process of the birthing, to momma carrying each kitten to a place she deems ‘safer’. to carrying mice, rabbits, etc. for them to eat. (once found a squirrel that she dragged to them). Watching them climb a tree the first time is just amazing. I don’t think I ever want to be catless. Petting a purring cat is so calming for me.

Thanks for the picture of your kitties. It brought a smile to my face. Enjoy!

        • The Klown says:

Apparently that’s what happened with these kitties. The mama gave birth inside an old boat parked outside a house in the country. When they were found the mama had disappeared. The lady who found them bottle fed them until she talked my mom into taking them.

(The lady does my mom’s nails.)

          • cynic says:

It was just amazing watching this last batch of kittens grow up. Momma was amazing, from taking them from the garage to the back of the woodshed, then watching them follow her down the path in my flower garden, to the open grassy area, where she paused, and carefully looked around to make sure it was safe for them to come out. She brought them to our back door! She was the best mother cat, and I felt guilty when I took her in to the vet, at their 8-week mark, to be fixed. When we brought her back home, the kittens remembered her, but she would have no part of them. She would hiss at them, and bat her paw at them.

Guess it’s a mother’s way of saying,”Time for you to go and find your own food and family.”

I see they’ve already taken over the remote control.

      • The Klown says:

They took over the couch too. I made up and nice bed for them but they ignored it. They sleep together on the end of the couch.

I took a picture of them sleeping cuz that’s about the only time they are sitting still long enough.

    • DeniseVB says:

      Awwwwww, what cuties.

    • angienc says:

I *love* the names — I predict that Tigger will soon be nicknamed “Tig” and Taggert will soon be nicknamed “Tag.”
They are adorable. Kittens are the best — the only problem is they grow up to be cats. 😉

    • foxyladi14 says:

      love it

    • leslie says:

Awwwwww, how darling they are. Congratulations on your new family. 😉

    • lyn says:

Your kittens are adorable. I like the names Tig, Tag and Tug. In 2008, we adopted three siblings–all boys. We didn’t realize that they would grow up to be three monkeys in gray cat suits, and we love them dearly.

  2. The Klown says:

Last night on DWTS Lolo Jones was eliminated. Not only was she a bad dancer but she was totally unlikable too. We’re talking serious bitch, and I usually like that type.

    • elliesmom says:

Couldn’t dance and didn’t have enough fans to save her.

      • The Klown says:

        Did she have ANY fans?

        • Somebody says:

She might have had a few, but she was with a brand new pro. I think a lot of people vote for the pro. There are little fan clubs for most of the pros, especially for Maks and DH. I presume the Maks fans will switch to Val, but who knows.

She did have her some attitude. I doubt the Nascar guy will get the boot because he probably has a good fan base but he should be next IMO. Betsy Johnson will go pretty quick too, she’s only marginally better. She actually may go next week because I doubt she has the fan base of the Nascar guy.

    • Somebody says:

So serious bitch is your type? Why? Just why? My ex BIL was the same way. He’s been married 5 times, each time to the same type of woman. I…..don’t……get……it. Seriously if you know she’s a bitch, walk away……run away, life is too short.

  3. votermom says:

Great post, Klown! Hadn’t heard the term Bourgeois Socialist before, but it does fit him to a tee.

  4. votermom says:

I would argue about the Muslim thing. I think he may not consider himself Muslim, but it’s still his default belief. He hasn’t rejected tge Islamic worldview. Even Rev Wright said he taught O that he could be “Christian” without rejecting his Muslim roots.

    • 49erDweet says:

I agree with VM. And I agree with Klown. IF a “bs” could hold a religious conviction, he’d be a Muslim. Because Daddy.

      • 49erDweet says:

Great work, Klown. Earns you a pass for that unnecessary slam, yesterday, on the sex lives of us octogenarians.

      • Somebody says:

Technically he is Muslim, but only because his father was Muslim. Religion is passed down from your father in the Muslim faith. That’s why Meriam Ibrahim was accused of being an apostate even though she never knew her Muslim father and was never raised Muslim. So Obama is either Muslim or he’s an apostate, simply because his father was a Muslim.

I do agree with you though that his real religion is himself.

I guess somebody finally called the cops about my neighbor’s defective car alarm. They were over there when I woke up a little bit ago, but now they’re gone. I know that sucker was going off for over an hour tonight.

    • leslie says:

That’s too bad about your disrupted sleep. I know I have trouble staying asleep or getting back to it when awakened. I thought there was some kind of ordinance that limited alarms to 10 minutes. Perhaps it is a local ordinance? Good luck tonight.

    • Somebody says:

That’s right I called the cops. I’m looking out for you……well technically for the kittens. They can’t have you sleep deprived. Your neighbors had it coming anyway, LOL!

  8. The Klown says:
  9. Lulu says:

All you wrote is true. His filter is narcissism and self-interest. He got where he is by talking to various groups and telling them what they wanted to hear. He is all things to all people so he is nothing. The blah blah and mush has caught up with him. He conned and bullshitted his entire life to get of jams. For a public that isn’t paying attention very much this often goes unnoticed or is forgiven because of some other attribute of a president.

I think his presidency is over. The media is doing weirdly worded polls to prop him and his Dems up. He can still do a lot of damage but by losing his “popularity”, which was manufactured by PR, academic sellouts, and corporate thieves to begin with, but he has lost the consent of the governed. He runs like a rabbit when solid opposition forms like the immigration mess, anti-war war weariness, and Putin. Putin is not through with him.

The other thing he is wrestling with is procrastination. A natural born goof-off and master procrastinator, his greatest failures can all be at least partially if not completely explained with the myriad of excuses of the procrastinator. Do the easy and fun stuff first and most. Hope the mess will go away. Delay decisions. Avoid unpleasant or inconvenient information. Delegate to whomever is standing there or volunteers irregardless of ability. Lie. Excuse and blame. Resort to fake micromanaging to appear to be in control. All of these messes that he created or made worse, Obamacare, Middle East conflagration, illegal immigration hordes debacle, and his early non response to Ebola, are now in his lap and he doesn’t want to deal with them still. So he procrastinates. Delegates. Blames. This is his mental state and all he is capable of doing. You could see the revulsion, disgust and disdain on the general’s face yesterday at the hearing when talking about Bronco’s orders on ISIS. He said Bronco would decide on stuff on a case by case manner. Sure he will. Kick the can. Golf may be his procrastinating metaphor. Or maybe eating waffles.

I just watched this interview and found Obama’s brother a rather charming and likable man despite Hannity playing the dickhead gotcha interviewer.

    • Jadzia says:

      I actually LIKE this Obama.

      • DeniseVB says:

His book looks interesting, wonder why the media didn’t seek him out in 2008. We know about the sister (Maya?), brother in the hut … Mark mentioned there’s 5 siblings?

Of course Hannity was trying to get some dirt and didn’t. Maybe this is the Obama the Dems should have run, a very kind and eloquent man. But I guess not as fun to chase like Billy “Beer” Carter and Roger Clinton.

  15. Kathy says:

I blame the Gatekeepers–bigwig dems and Axelrod. They should have known and if they didn’t, they shouldn’t be in charge.

    • The Klown says:

There are two kinds of Obama supporters – those who bought his bullshit and those who knew better but helped him sell his bullshit anyway.

      • DeniseVB says:

And the crony capitalists who “invested” in him and who have been rewarded ten fold with our tax money. See: Solyndra among many others. Then the rest of them who paid to play. See: Appointed Cabinet members, Czars, Ambassadors, Administration Dept heads, spouses of the lapdog media. Whew, huh? Had to raise a billion dollars somehow.

        • The Klown says:

That would be the second kind.

          • DeniseVB says:

LOL, I realized that after I posted. It’s how we got the most inept administration ever. To this day I believe Obama(or one of his goon squad) was part of Blagojevich’s attempt to sell his Senate seat. Blago or his family were threatened somehow to keep quiet, or bought off? I wonder how Mrs. Blago is supporting herself and the kids these days?

    • cynic says:

I know I missed Tinfoil Hat Tuesday, and I probably mentioned this story once before, but it seems appropriate to bring it up once more.

In May of 2012, while enjoying a neighborhood cookout, I sat next to a long-time radio personality. He told me that when Obama came out with his “Dreams” book, someone (he wouldn’t disclose who this person was) sent him the book, asked him to read it, and he would call back to talk to him about it.

May neighbor’s impressions were that he was a Marxist that was raised by Marxists.

The other guy asked, “What do you know about Bill Ayers?”
Neighbor: He was a terrorist with the Weather Underground.
      Other guy: Watch him.

Other guy: “What do you know of David Axelrod?”
      Neighbor: Never heard of him.
      Other guy: Watch him.

Then the guy told my neighbor that Obama would be President, and would win reelection, and then something foggy about Obama bypassing the Constitution.

Obama’s making has been in the works for years. The real question is why him, and who decided this. Something we’ll never know, but continues to drive us crazy trying to figure out. Too bad that there’s so many corrupt people that money can buy.

He doesn’t really believe in gay marriage though. Remember Saddleback? “I believe that when a man and a woman marry, God is there” (ie: God is nowhere around when those perverted heathens want to marry). The largest gay lobby, the Human Rights Campaign, threatened to pull all of their political and financial support when he continued to drag his heels on gay rights. Phony opportunist through and through.

    • The Klown says:

He has never invested any of his political capital in issues for the gay community. He “evolved” on gay marriage because of shifting poll numbers showing that the majority of people now support it.

    • leslie says:

True. And yet every gay person I know (and there are many) continue to support him because he repealed “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” and made gay marriage possible. They really don’t care what it took to get him there.

These polls are deliberately done wrong in order to mess up the race. Really! I know that’s hard to believe.
This far ahead they should be scaled preferential polls, not winner-take-all. Like rating 1 to 5 on each as to preference. There’s a bunch of pigs mixed up with those elephants, seriously skewing the results. Same should be done with the donkeys, but that would require balanced reporting.

And the best part is none of these people see any contradictions. I shit you not. The Dem party is not what it used to be. Or maybe it is and I just didn’t notice.

It’s the Hypocrisy Stupid ! That’s the only message the GOP ads should be screaming between now and mid-term elections! Like here in Virginia. Funny how that McDonnell corruption trial ended his threat to Mark Warner. I like Warner, but his 97% voting with Obama is disturbing to me. Ed Gillespie leaves me “meh” but will vote for him, because 97% Obama and richest man in Virginia uses taxpayer funded private jets to fly around Virginia? Geeeesh. I don’t think Obama really believes in much of anything. I think he was being absolutely honest when he described himself as a blank screen. I think he pursues pure self-interest without the burden of any ideology whatsoever. I think that’s what all the folks who were cooing over “no drama Obama” in the ’08 campaign were missing: that lack of drama wasn’t due to coolness under pressure, he just didn’t care enough about anything to get worked up about it. No beliefs, no opinions, no principles, and no passion. That’s why he was perfectly happy to throw anyone and anything under the bus to get ahead.

    • leslie says:

I am so glad you were able to state ^this^ so clearly. This is also what I believe. That he just didn’t care enough to get worked up. It isn’t being “cool under pressure”, it’s being self absorbed and without an overseeing ego to detect right from wrong, good from bad. My favorite sentence is: “…he pursues pure self-interest without the burden of any ideology whatsoever..
