Chelsea Clinton Gives Birth to Baby Girl

Chelsea Clinton has given birth to a daughter named Charlotte, the first grandchild of former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Clinton and her husband Marc Mezvinsky announced the birth of their first child on Saturday morning. The baby’s name is Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky.

Chelsea Clinton announced the baby’s birth on Twitter, saying she and her husband are “full of love, awe and gratitude as we celebrate the birth of our daughter, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky.”

Royal births and weddings are always good news. You can expect to see lots of Charlotte and her grandmother traveling around the country the next couple of years.

My new granddaughter is scheduled for delivery on Monday. I already know she will be the cutest thing ever.

Congratulations and best wishes to the Mezvinsky’s and their families.

And the same to your new gd’s parents and kinfolks as well. I hope she turns out to even bossier than mine, if that’s possible.

Congrats to the family!! Maybe Charlotte will be our first woman POTUS, because I don’t think Hill’s running. We’ll always have our Wall Street puppet Dick GObama.

  3. DeniseVB says:

Awwww, congrats to the Clintons. Love the name Charlotte, now she needs 3 more girls, Carrie, Samantha and Miranda πŸ˜€

congratulations to the family. glad both mom and daughter are fine. I am sure that little girl will have the men in the family wrapped around her little finger before she gets home from the hospita.

MYIQ have fun with your grand daughter. Grand kids are our reward for raising kids. We love them and they know you can boss mom and dad around so you are their secret weapon when all else fails

Good for her. It’s funny, I came over here to read and to share my morning’ story. Of course I am decades older than that young woman. Truth be told, I am decades older than almost everyone I work with. But that’s what made my morning even better.
I went out early cuz I ran out of milk. While I was out, I decided I’d get the car washed, so that’s where I went – the car wash. While I was waiting outside, I noticed a “John Kerry” sticker on the car ahead of me and said, “I used to have one of those. I didn’t much care for him but I worked for him and voted for him.The owner of the car – loaded with stickers –
proudly said, “I have a Hillary sticker – in Hebrew”. He took me to see it and when I showed him it was an Obama sticker in Hebrew – and it was pasted over the Hillary sticker, he said he had voted for her and had thought she would win in 2008. He also said she would have been a much better president than the one we have now. I agreed. I then said that it was the DNC that robbed her of the nomination and explained what happened May 31, 2008. I then said, “I voted Dem my entire life, but after what the DNC did to Hillary, I”ll never vote Democrat again.” He gasped and then said, “We have nothing more to say to one another.” He nearly ran to the other side of the out door waiting area. I got to stay in the sun smiling all the while.

      • leslie says:

BTW: The gentleman was at least 60 and I’ve seen him at many Democrat events. He is one of the D leaders around this area. πŸ˜‰

I love that he can’t even talk to someone who isn’t in his “political club”. Nope, not at all like a cult.

      • Constance says:

The Dems called me for a donation to Congressional Democrats last night. I told them I am no longer a Dem after what Dems did to Hillary. The guy said “What are you referring to?” like they always do, like they have never heard of sexism in the 2008 Dem nomination process. I said the Dems refused to count Hillary’s votes at the convention because she is a woman candidate and instead used the convention of 2008 as a coronation of Obama, no male candidate would have been treated that way, I have lots of money I could give and I will never be giving it to the Dems. He started in with the blather, probably trying to convince me of my victimhood but I hung up.

I majored in history and I think that children need to be taught the truth. But these days “truth” often means “all of the bad stuff and none of the good stuff”.

I’ll use Japan for example. Japan is a country with a long, rich history and lots to be proud of. Can you imagine if all that Japanese kids were taught about history was centered on WWII?

Guess who forgot to buy cat food last night?

Guess who didn’t forget that they were very hungry this morning?

Guess who had to go to the store at 6:30 am?

  6. leslie says:

Congratulations to the Mezvinskys, the Clintons and to the Klown family as well. I love babies and baby girls are wonderful.

It is the eyebrows and the “high cut” bangs. The bangs are the low maintenance four year old haircut. I was always thankful that my mother did not do that to me.

      • leslie says:

OMG. I’ve had bangs my entire life. I have a photo of me as a 3 year old and the bangs are there – only cut so high they look completely weird. πŸ™‚
(I am now trying to grow these suckers out after all these decades. It is slow going and they get in my eyes all the time. But they are now down to the end of my nose and make a nice veil.) lol

      • Constance says:

        I’m a fan of bangs!

This morning I received an email with the sender “E-ZPass Collection”. It’s a SCAM. Do not open it. Do not click on any link.
(Thankfully, my anti-virus alerted me. So I googled the send and learned it is a fairly recent [July 2014] scam.)

Bad Tweeter Bad, but funny. “Don’t let Bill DiBlasio hold the Clinton baby” His supporters are upset the right won’t let the groundhog incident go. In regards to him dropping the poor thing last Groundhog’s Day at a Staten Island event, she died of internal injuries a week later. The local media just found out a few days ago. It’s not the crime, it’s the coverup!

Just had a handsome young politician knock on my door to ask for my vote. Imagine his shocked look when he encountered his 8th grade science teacher. “Could you please not tell anyone the poster on your wall ‘I can cure ignorance but not stupidity’ was because of something I did?” (It was.) If anyone of my students was going to be a politician, it was going to be this kid. He could talk himself out of anything. lol But he had the guts to knock on my door himself and ask for my vote. So he’s got it. In all the years his opponent has been in office, she’s never done that or even had a surrogate do it. Who knows? Maybe he’s the next Tip O’Neill.

This is a busy singing weekend for moi. Performing with a regional choir in a huge concert this evening (7 choirs) then 11 songs in 2 services tomorrow, then a long rehearsal Monday afternoon with a “senior” choir.

    • leslie says:

Oh, that sounds so cool ! I used to sing with a university/community chorus. Then I got some virus or something and the coughing left me with damaged vocal chords and now I don’t even sing in the shower . . . 😦

  19. elliesmom says:

So at the risk of sounding unenlightened, wouldn’t it be better for transsexual people to seek acceptance for them to live the life they feel is true to them in the body they were born with rather than to seek financial benefits that allow them to surgically remove or add parts to their bodies? While some of my BFFs really are Lesbians, I don’t know any transsexual people well enough to have an honest conversation about it. I’ve worked with one, but I only knew about it because “he” worked with my husband, and then “she” worked with me. I was expected to be oblivious, and I complied. I’m reading about the Manning lawsuit against Chuck Hagel to provide surgery and other treatment. Wouldn’t it be better just to ask to be moved to a woman’s facility and be allowed to dress and act like a woman? If the hormones racing through your body are “poisoning you”, doesn’t that mean they make you feel male? If you look and feel male, aren’t you male? Biology is not a social construct. If gender is, then wouldn’t it be better for all to change the social construct than to mutilate bodies to try to match the biology to it? I’m not just trying to sound clueless here, I am clueless. It’s not about paying for the surgery for me. It’s about perpetuating what might be a severe mental illness. If it’s “normal”, then it doesn’t need to be fixed?

    • mothy67 says:

I have been confused by this as well. I’ve tried to grasp the concept but it evades me. I am inclined to see it as a form of dysmorphia(Sp?) Do I have some sort of phobia? Maybe. This case gives me pause. Perhaps it is possible that an individual be both.

    • Constance says:

No, they can not move males who “feel female” into women’s facilities. There is a definition of female and that definition is not “anything that isn’t quite male”. Females have zero y chromosomes. No one with a y chromosome belongs in facilities made for girls and women. I don’t know where you put them but don’t dump them on females. Maybe they could have a special corner of the people with y chromosomes facilities specially for only them.

      • elliesmom says:

There is a biological definition for female. I quite agree with you. If we base it on chromosomes, then turning a biological male’s genitals into something that resembles a female’s and doing hormone therapy won’t change the male into a female. But at least in the place where I worked, it meant the person was treated as a female in every way. I suspect I might have been the only person who knew the difference. So if this person had committed a crime post-surgery and hormone therapy, which prison would be the correct choice? And if it’s a woman’s facility, is it the absence of a penis that really is what makes someone “female”? I’m not arguing. I’m asking.

        • angienc says:

I can answer that — prisoners are segregated according to biology so a post-op trans (male to female) who commits a crime as a “she” will be sent to the men’s prison and vice versa for female to male post-op trans. It’s the chromosomes that count, not the genitalia. And you know what? I agree with that — too much potential liability throwing a born-male in with females from a fighting perspective — she might not have a penis but her muscle mass potential is the same.

        • Constance says:

Women will decide what defines a woman, men will not decide. Because if you let men decide then the definition of female will be “anything that isn’t standard male”. I agree that transgendered men have a horrible problem and it will be difficult for the government to deal with them. That doesn’t mean they can dump on women. So deal with your altered men (y chromosome people) without involving women or our territory.

          • The Klown says:

Medical science cannot make a man into a woman. Doctors can make cosmetic changes to a man so that he resembles a woman, but biologically he is still a male.

    • DeniseVB says:

The last update I heard about Manning sounded like mental illness to me because he was on suicide watch AND genital mutilation (cutting off his own penis) watch. Just so sad.
