I would hope that some kind of criminal charges can be filed against them for helping to get him into this country and place him somewhere with the most sophisticated medical resources thus endangering the entire continent. Bitching about the hospital goes both ways. When in the ER they only told the intake clerk when asked what his SSN was that he didn’t have one since he was visiting from Liberia. THEY DID NOT TELL the hospital he had been directly exposed to Ebola. Then they complain because the hospital didn’t GUESS correctly and put him in isolation immediately with FREE care. They knew what they were doing.
He is also visiting his girlfriend. She is a “community” leader. She lives in Dallas and he lives in Liberia. She has five children. A nephew called the CDC when the hospital didn’t immediately take him and isolate him so they called to rat out the hospital. He came to the US as soon as he could get flights and came to Dallas. Then when he had fever he went to the ER to be admitted. BUT the hospital ER clerk missed the vague hints so the “girlfriend” could avoid culpability. It didn’t work so they called the CDC to complain because they were getting freaked out by him getting sicker (and vomiting everywhere like he did when the ambulance came). And the “girlfriend” community leader is sending FIVE children to school during all of this. What did they think they were doing? Now they are trying to blame the hospital? No. I don’t think so.
Those poor kids. That mom is criminally negligent.
I only hope she sent them out of the house to stay with someone else but won’t tell anyone. Their stories are getting mixed up with various friends or family members giving out too much information both in the US and in Liberia. There is also supposedly a sister who met him at the airport in DC when he got to the US and flew with him to Dallas on the plane. If this is true they knew he was going to get sick and just wanted to get him to a really good Dallas hospital. This is unacceptable and must be prevented in the future.
They might not have known he was exposed – otherwise why let the kids mingle with him? But as soon as he got a fever they knew.

Duh. Rick Perry has some splaining to do too. Yesterdays it was all “it is under control”. The guy was sick all over the exterior of a big apartment complex while being loaded up in an ambulance not to mention sitting in a busy ER. Some of us have had to deal with ping-pong strep infections with kids in our own homes. It spreads like wildfire and you have to disinfect and sterilize EVERYTHING. They truly think we have no brains.

What did they think was going to happen to them? Everything was going to be great and all of them taken care of? Nope. They are in possible legal trouble.
I think quarantining would include making sure they get food & water and there’s a plan on how to dispose of bio hazards.
