Was it good for you too?

Was it good for you too?

Obama is supposed to come out and face the music media to explain how he now has the GOP right where he wants them.

Or something like that.

I’ve been visiting some left-leaning blogs to take pleasure in their shock and dismay. Last night didn’t make up for the last six years, but it was a start.

I have an appointment with a VA doctor this afternoon. Just an annual check up. I already know he’s gonna tell me to come back in tomorrow morning to have labs done.

  2. DeniseVB says:

Obama speaking now. He seems pretty upbeat, even said he got “the message” 🙂

From the tail end of the last thread:

SO I’m at work and turned on the radio in my office, wondering whether I had missed the bronco presser. What I first heard was, “th-th-the” and I knew I had the right station. lol.

    • DeniseVB says:

I don’t believe a word he’s saying. And he really did say “I Am The President” as part of a response to a reporter. I’ll have to find the context of that since I’m half listening…..

  4. DeniseVB says:

Awwww, how Robert Downey Jr announced the birth of his daughter on facebook :

After 9 months of intensive development, Team Downey is pleased to announce our 2014 fall/winter project.

Principal photography commenced 11-14 and will continue until she says, “Dad! You are embarrassing me…I’m 30, this has gotta stop.”

Yep…Avri Roel Downey joined the party @ 3:22 a.m. on November 4th…she’s 7lbs even, spans 20 inches, and is accompanied by a variety of Susan’s traits that have seemingly overwritten my “junk DNA.”

I’ll post pics here + there when I’m not too busy staring…

  5. The Klown says:

This presser is surreal. Obama is talking like he won last night.

  6. The Klown says:

    • Lulu says:

He may need to be committed. Delusions, voices, lying, nonsense double talk. All that is missing is fart noises interspersed. He sounds like Professor Irwin Corey. Now he is getting really rattled. LOL.

  7. driguana says:

I rarely listen to any of Obama’s speeches as they are hard to listen to and his style and arrogance are always very hard to take but I tuned this one in for the duration. Unbelievable. You would have thought that he just won the election! His arrogance is beyond belief at this point. And, as usual, for such a long winded droning, he said virtually nothing other than he will essentially follow his own policy pathways after a few conversations with Republican leadership. He absolutely did not answer the first reporter’s question about his failed policies and instead supported his own coming executive actions. All I can say is wow….and I hope the Republicans will now show same backbone and stand up to this incredibly incompetent president.

    Ha ha!

  9. HELENK3 says:

backtrack the guy that was elected by everbody????????? I guess I am nobody because I never voted for him

    • Lulu says:

Me either. But then I LIKE being a nobody. Obola doesn’t. He is reminding me more and more of Lena Dunham. This is gross but it is like word diarrhea. Now he is going to be busy for two years. LIke playing basketball. Yep. Word diarrhea.

  10. WMCB says:

LMAO! Sooper delivers the funny, as usual!

  11. DeniseVB says:

Obama’s STILL talking ? When has he ever been this chatty with the press ? We’re at the hour mark now, geeeeesh.

  12. DeniseVB says:

    Ok, I went there …..

  14. Lulu says:

This is cray-cray. It sounds more and more like the last statement before someone is led off to the firing squad. With Chicago preacher and community organizer stuff thrown in. I think even the press is embarrassed.

  25. fif says:

Obama Isn’t Listening to Voters He Claims to Hear

“I hear you,” the president says. But he doesn’t.

November 5, 2014 Shellacked and thumped by an angry electorate, President Obama declared to every American who voted in Tuesday’s elections—and to those who’ve checked out of the political process—”I hear you.”

    And then he ignored them.

From all appearances Wednesday, the president won’t change—not his policies, not his style, not his staff, not nothing. Defiant and begrudging, the president said he would meet with GOP leaders, seek their suggestions for common ground, and maybe grab a drink with Senate Majority Leader-to-Be Mitch McConnell.

Beyond that, meh. “It’s probably premature” to consider personnel changes, Obama said when pressed by a reporter for the type of reflection and resetting undertaken by President Clinton after his 1994 midterm trouncing.

  26. WMCB says:

    DU went full batshit:

    • lyn says:

That’s who re-elected Obama. My favorite is: “I think the President has to put resignation on the table and not give them the satisfaction of being impeached.”

  27. The Klown says:

    Leon Wolf:

Let us review the bidding. Republicans ran this year on very little of substance. Their brand ID is still very underwater with the American public. There is no program right now that the American public is clamoring for the Republicans to undertake with one exception: they hate what President Obama is doing and they want Republicans to stop it. Exit poll after exit poll last night showed that the single most important thing in the minds of the voters this year was the looming shadow of death Obama cast on all his Democrat allies.

If voters really wanted people who would work closely with Obama and other Democrats to “get things done,” they would have just voted for more Democrats. After all, virtually every elected Democrat has “worked with” Obama (in the sense of doing exactly everything he asked) for the last six solid years. Say what you want about the information level of the average voter, but absolutely no one was confused into thinking that they were replacing a Democrat with a Republican in the hopes that the Republican would be more friendly to the Democrat agenda.

  28. The Klown says:

    • DeniseVB says:

Sigh, the Dems really, really, really need to clean house, starting with Obama’s “aides” down to the “pundits” and “strategists”. I’ve never loathed so many people at any one time in my life ! Hell, I still like that sh*thead John Edwards, but I think he jumped the shark cheating on a dying wife. Wait, Newtie almost made a comeback, at least he married his ho’.

  29. The Klown says:

    • WMCB says:

I despise Clyburn almost as much as Obama. Take a drive through his district sometime. Some of the worst rural poverty you will see in the USA. And in all his years in office, he has brought them not ONE job, manufacturing plant, industry, NOTHING.

He’s a fucking Plantation Overseer, not a representative.

    • catarina says:

“..Just Because He’s Black, That Doesn’t Mean Progress..”

      since when?

    • DandyTIger says:

A black man gaining a powerful position doesn’t mean progress. His definition of “progress” does not mean blacks gaining anything. Kind of makes sense given his and the Dem parties policies and results.

  30. WMCB says:

    • 49erDweet says:

Glad you understand those dynamics. Some people don’t, and act like it’s a big deal.

    • elliesmom says:

I have a theory. The Democrats are a huge coalition of single issue voters. They suck you in by agreeing with you on your issue. None of the issues conflict because for the most part they’re totally unrelated so the people can coexist. Abortion rights women and the LBGT folks may have little in common, but they aren’t in conflict with each other either. Heterosexual white males are less likely to have a single issue, and their issues often impact the “big tent” negatively. There’s no hook to suck them in on without causing conflict with a least one of the single issue groups. The Democrats and the media don’t talk about the “man problem” because if they went after that group, they’s piss off too many of the constituents they already have. The Republicans are slowly learning how to convince some of the people in the Democratic tent to consider whether the issue that brought them there is really their only issue. No candidate stepped in doodoo this time.

      • The Klown says:

If you are a straight white male non-union member the Democratic party really has nothing to offer you except blame.

      • WMCB says:

I think that’s a fair analysis. Most of, for instance, my gay conservative friends that have left the D tent still want gay marriage, etc.

But they figured out that they don’t want it at the expense of running the damn country and business into the ground, which is what the D’s do in trying to juggle all those groups. So it becomes *an* issue for them, not the be-all end-all. And they think they’ll eventually bring the GOP around, and agree on enough other Big Stuff that they are content to wait, and in the meantime have a freaking JOB. Because gay-married and unemployed is really not all that.

        • The Klown says:

The Democrats have no incentive to fix your single issue. If they do they have no hold on you anymore.

          • WMCB says:

Yep. All the “interest” groups for both parties need to put the fear of god in them, regularly. “So I got nowhere else to go? Watch me.”

  31. The Klown says:

    • 1539days says:

This is kind of funny, because the video basically says the same thing.

      1. Democrats lost big.
      2. Liberalism won (except libertarianism really won, if you talk about legalizing pot.)
      3. Democrats were delusional about being a permanent majority
4.Christie and Hillary Clinton are in good shape for 2016 (but they aren’t)
      5. Obama will have a hard time the next 2 years (maybe, but with no brain, there’s no pain)

    • WMCB says:

Doc, even freaking Chris Matthews is disgusted with him. Chris Matthews.

CHRIS MATTHEWS: What bothered me about him [today] he keeps talking about common ground. Damn it, there’s very little common ground between left and right, but what there is is compromise. You do something for me on minimum wage, I’ll do something for you in corporate tax reform. You give me something on corporate tax reform and I’ll get rid of some of the loopholes or I’ll do something on trade for you. He never talks about trading and compromising, he always talks about common ground. Well, damn it, you can not run a government on common ground.

He misses the main point of politics which is to be a politician and to trade. Okay, you want this? You want to take care of people who have been here illegally for 20, 30 years? Here’s what I want. No more illegal hiring, and that’s all in the Senate bill. But he won’t sell the compromise. There’s something in this guy that just plays to his constituency and acts like there is no other room out there.

      • WMCB says:

And BTW, I am often a realistic “half a loaf is better than none” person, despite my ideals. I might WISH that only people who thought like I do were in Congress or the electorate, but that’s not reality. So I don’t get too exercised over conservative “sellouts” when it’s a pretty good trade. I do object to sellouts that are just rolling over like a whipped dog, getting nothing.

        • The Klown says:

As the song says, you can’t always get what you want. What pisses me off are the politicians who never even intended to keep their promises – they just flat-out lie to get elected.

          Like Obama.

        • DandyTIger says:

I do object to sellouts that are just rolling over like a whipped dog, getting nothing.

          IOW, the new Dem party.

  43. mothy67 says:

My hangover has a hangover. My hair hurts. I still feel tremendous relief. Keep going back to 2008 and the statement Brazille made about us having no where else to go. They presumed we would be mad but would fall in line. Six years later thier plan back fired. We did mot go “home” instead we offered sanctuary. Common Core is epic failure. You might think it not a big deal but I wait outside the school doors and I hear it. Government is toying with our kids futures. An A is impossible. Pup had never gotten a B. Straight As. I want to fix it but there is nothing I can do. Have every math book I can find and talked to a tutor. I will spend what I have to but it is pointless because it is designed to even the playing field. Four questions on every test are set up to get wrong.
Math is beautiful. Everything is math. Music art dance all math. I was no rocket scientist but I went to Purdue as an engineering student. Switched to film and found myself at Temple.
I so want my baby girl to respect math. It can be fun and challenging. The Core shite is making it impossible Teachers are just as frustrated. I sat across from the parking lot at school and waited for the math teacher. Ihad 4 questions from a test that were 8th grade prr algebra questions for third graders. Maybe Doogie Howser could answer but they had concepts that had not been introduced. Teacher was not mad and thankfully did not get a restraining order. She told me no one gets an A and no one an F. Bullshit I spend an hour everyday on homeeork. She gets ten minutes I make up fiifty. Apply the same standards to sports and I might be less pissed off.
I crave for my little one to be fascinated by the world. ,She tutns on the spicket and I relish spending a day explaining how water comes into the house. The compexity of it. I find it grossly unfair that common is now the standard. Education of a child is primarily the parents job not the schools especially in the early years.

  44. mothy67 says:

Every night I say to my baby girl how much do I love you. She places her thumb and index finger together. I say less and she bites on her digits. I say less. She says I cannot do less. I yell I love you less she responds with I love you more. We go back and forth til she falls asleep. Brat bought me for Christmas a pillow that reads love you more. We never wait for gifts. I bought her a very expensive Harry Potter lunch box fot Hallowden in June. Monster said who buys a kid a Halloween gift. Nope not a thank you for a 99 dollat piece of tin. Instead I am absurd for buying and giving a Halloween gift in June. Yet she gives me a Christmas gift in October.

  45. mothy67 says:

Egads School called my baby fat and sent a letter home urging me to get involved and support Michrlle Obama
    And lets move.
Fuck you. My pup takes jazz hip hop, ballet swim tai kwon do softball.
Pup is pure muscle. Everyday the brat counts to twenty inKorean as she does push ups. Tiny thing called fat by her school. Insane she spends two hours everyday in some sort of exetcise. Tiny but school sent home a letter calling her fat. She knows she is not but how much damage could this cause?

  46. HELENK3 says:

    so where are we now?

Mr Republican why don’t you say so

    • Lulu says:

It really isn’t hard. All you have to do is not declare him a genius and let him prattle like a loon at a news conference. And what is with the Hairy Reed aide blabbling all the dirt on the WH? Two days in a row the Wapo has let Hairy via his number one aide go after Obola. I guess he decided he was not going to take the blame. I predict a bunch of Dem senators voting on stuff with Mitch McConnell. Hell, they may even override vetoes.

    • lyn says:

The commenters sound like they’re drinking Koolaid and smoking dope.

  47. Lulu says:

Obola wiped out the Dem’s farm league. Not only did their major “talent” get wiped in Senate races, they were wiped in House races, and most dangerous they were wiped in state lege, statehouse, and up and comer races like state atty general, lt gov, comptroller and other stepping stone races. Complete blowout for the farm team. They got almost nothing in the pipeline for 2016 except a bunch of little northeast state county executives and mayors. Thanks Obola.

  48. leslie says:

Not only did he “transform America”, he transformed the political landscape. He changed the face of America and it’ll take decades to right this ship. A minute ago I was listening to one of the clips from yesterday’s presser. He says he checks “every day
” to see if there is something that he “could’ve done better” and he’ll continue to do so. I guess, after all that checking, he still hasn’t found any place he could improve. So that must mean all this mess is what he intended (or whoever is actually behind the guy pulling the strings).

I leaving for work. I have to transform my landscape again today.

  49. mothy67 says:

I do not know how or why I have 6 figures in an account. I have never applied for anything. No tax stuff ever. Seven men left prison and I taught them how to read. They got GEDs. Never a big deal stan dan clan fan. Easy stuff. Huge money in my account.
Never have I used the account as a write off. Costs me 5 dollars bus fare but I have never written it off. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in an account. I assume that the woman who penned “back through the seasons of my youth I go wandering oncce again” not sure but I will wear my coat of many colors with pride.
