From 1956, this was the RaYcist song cut out of the NBC Special Snowflake version tonight. Enjoy, UggaWugga….

Well, I would guess so! When you have the word “Redskins” you might have Bob Costas condemning you from the starting gate – if not the entire DNC..

  2. I would’ve watched that if I’d known it was on TV but I kinda avoid NBC and all things related to network television.
OT but all the donations made to the woman in Ferguson whose bakeshop burned down (THIS IS NOT HER THOUGH) reminded me about this: http://tinyurl.com/qxxp838
Its a horrible shame that this woman squandered the money we evil racists donated to her. It really messes up the good will that people want to extend to help those less fortunate.

Yeah, thought the same thing. This will be a defining decision for “Natalie” as she considers her options. Hope she chooses well.

The part of me that still believes that most people are good believes the bake shop lady will rebuild her store and help her fellow business people get a kickstart, too. But I wouldn’t blame any of them if they did it somewhere else. I’m counting on her to help restore some of my faith in humanity.

      That reminds me.
My HS senior said her sociology class yesterday upset her. When I asked why, she said because it’s all about Blacks & Whites and since she doesn’t fit neatly into either she feels like chopped liver. (Well, she didn’t say “chopped liver”, but that was the sense of it)

I suggested that the next time that happens she should stand up in class and start ranting about being made invisible and laying the guilt on the teacher. I bet her classmates would applaud.
The idea cheered her up but she’s too much a model student to do it.

      • elliesmom says:

Because she’s a model student, she’s the perfect one to do it. After 11 1/2 years of being perfect, I had a great time stirring things up that last semester. 😉

Peter Pan Live Was the Worst Three-Hour Drag Show We’ve Ever Seen

Good God. NBC’s live production of Peter Pan was not at all what we had hoped for: Props falling, props falling on Allison Williams or Christopher Walken, someone forgetting their lines and doing an Ashlee Simpson jig. No, instead we were forced to endure a three-hour college musical theater show whose dullness was punctuated with impressive gayness.

What was apparent from the show’s first song is that the production’s audio was…off. Or something wasn’t quite right. The sound was either partially lip synched or the actors relied on loud backing vocals—everything sounded pre-recorded. One theory: The audio being played back was recorded from a dress rehearsal.

Read the whole thing , it is hilarious .
