    H8ers gotta h8, h8, h8, h8, h8:

    6. Women stormed the halls of Congress. The 2014 midterm election may have been a “shellacking” for Democrats, but it also saw victories by a new wave of women, on both sides of the political aisle, ultimately increasing the ratio of female representatives greatly. A record 100 women will serve in the 114th Congress, and that’s something we should all celebrate.

Celebrate? Maybe? I don’t think so….those women that were elected don’t celebrate women in any shape or form.

    • The Klown says:

Was the Left always so angry and h8ful? Did I just not see it all those years or did they change?

      • votermom says:

        I wonder the same thing.

      • DeniseVB says:

Dems were hijacked by special interest groups which don’t seem to include our country as one of those interests. What a mess they’ve created.

      • HELENK3 says:

I keep wondering the same thing. The democratic party I believed in was loyal to this country and really wanted to make it better for all. The JFK democratic party believed in a great future for this country taking us beyond our dreams. Often wonder if that is why he was killed
That party is dead and I do not think it will ever be revived

      • taw46 says:

I believe it was, but the majority of us did not see it until 2008. The crazies are now in charge of that party.

      • 49erDweet says:

No. It wasn’t. Yes, you didn’t and they did. Go back to sleep.

    • DandyTIger says:

That’s insane. We all know that more women in a political system, regardless of politics, is a really good thing for societies. They’re so deep in their cult that they’re fighting against real progress. Wait, real progress would mean less victimhood. Ah, now I get it.

I almost didn’t recognize Mooch without the scowl. If wearing that cellophane covered princess gown makes her happy, I guess it’s worth it. Or is she happy that Barack was at the hospital for a “sore throat”?

        • DeniseVB says:

Bronco looked frail in those photos. A CAT scan for a chronic sore throat just to diagnose acid reflux ?

          • votermom says:

My guess – his doctor knows he’s a smoker and they did the CT scan to see if there is cancer. I’ll bet they also biopsied.

          • DeniseVB says:

My husband (never smoked) has acid reflux and has never complained of a sore throat. Takes an OTC med (prilosec?) to control it.

          • Somebody says:

To be fair to Obama none of this is far fetched. I had what is called silent GERD during the early stages of my daughter’s cancer treatment. My only symptom was a sore throat that wouldn’t go away. I honestly didn’t have any heartburn or anything like that. I’m a smoker so they freaked and ran a bunch of tests on me, even went down my throat with a camera, which I haven’t heard they did to Obama but I bet they did.

The whole thing was due to stress. I was put on prescription Nexium for 6 months and then retested and everything had healed up. If left untreated it can indeed create an environment for cancer.

Sooooooo it could be his smoking, I’m a smoker or it could be stress or a combination. Bottom line though I don’t think anything was out of the ordinary for the situation. I’m nobody and they ran a bunch of tests on me.

Denise if your husband has had long term acid reflux he really should mention it to his doctor and have testing to double check that the OTC meds he’s taking are doing the job. Helpful tip, double prilosec is basically nexium or close to it.

          • DeniseVB says:

somebody – yes, hubby’s diligent about his medical appointments twice a year and in between to monitor blood pressure, choles. too. He takes a “cocktail” of meds every day. Off the nexium, prilosec’s been controlling the reflux ok. He does like his scotch, I’m sure that contributes some, he’ll never give up his nightcaps though. He’s also got some PTSD leftover from Vietnam and Beirut, I agree, stress is a huge contributor. Imagine what it’s like being an unpopular POTUS 😉

          • The Klown says:

Obama has a lot of barely-suppressed anger. He tries to hide it, but I think that explains all the fuck-you stuff he has been doing, like rubbing people’s noses in the golf trips he takes.

You can understand his frustration – nothing is working out for him and even his supporters are bailing on him.

            Karma’s a bitch.

        • swanspirit says:

I was going to say , What is she wearing ? Saran Wrap? A few more accessories and she could be in a Disney movie.

          • votermom says:

Her gown appears to be made from repurposed excess holiday gift basket wrapper.

          • DeniseVB says:

As I mentioned on MOTUS, if Carol Burnett were to spoof this dress she would leave the hanger attached to the top of the cellophane garment bag 😀

          • elliesmom says:

In aqua instead of pale pink, she could be Elsa, the most popular Halloween costume for little girls this year. The dress is too short. It looks like something Kate, one of the designers who keeps coming back season after season of Project Runway, made out of plastic from a construction site. Iridescent organza like that is less than $5 a yard at JoAnn. Is Michelle finally on a budget?

          • foxyladi14 says:

            Cinderella? 😀

      • WMCB says:

Wait, I read a book once that advised women to wrap themselves in Saran Wrap. I thought feminists today frowned on that sort of thing.

    good video in article

is it just me or does anyone else want to stand up and scream. “if black lives matter so much why are they taught to admire thugs and killers and trash those who have succeeded and made good lives for themselves?”

  4. DeniseVB says:

Wow, just wow ….. Gruber thinks eugenics is good ? Now about that #BlackLivesMatter b.s. let’s chew on this:

Gruber’s abortion advocacy is of a particularly pungent eugenics variety. He’s on record repeatedly making the case from social science that abortion is a “social good” because it reduces the number of “marginal children,” by which he means urban poor—those he says can be counted on to commit crimes if they were ever born.
Gruber co-authored a paper during the Clinton years which argued that legal abortion had saved the U.S. taxpayer upwards of $14 billion in welfare benefits and that it also lowered crime.

    http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/12/07/Obamacare-Architect-Calls-Abortion-of-Marginal-Children-a-Social-Good

    • DandyTIger says:

So the Obamacare architect is a eugenics proponent. Funny how that doesn’t surprise me. That used to be the favorite “settled science” of liberals. Maybe it still is.

      • swanspirit says:

ohhhh OK, no death panels (we might include them we just won’t call them that ) , but maybe a eugenics committee , because we know what is best for humanity !

        • DandyTIger says:

Sadly, it fits all too well with their current way of thinking.

          • The Klown says:

Imagine Progs with the power to decide who gets to reproduce and who doesn’t.

          • DandyTIger says:

I think that’s kind of the end result of a socialist totalitarian central government. What’s good for GE, er, the state, is good for you.

          • swanspirit says:

Unfortunately , the Progs already imagine that , choosing who will do the breeding . They already call people who have children, breeders . They are a sick cult .

          • The Klown says:

Eugenics originated with Progressivism. They weren’t just “early adopters”, they invented that shit.

          • WMCB says:

Proggressives invented eugenics because are on an endless crusade to improve us all. They got embarrassed and went more quiet with it when Hitler took their ideology to its logical end, but they never stopped longing for the power to exterminate and re-breed. They just wanted to do it “nicer and softer and more compassionately.”

I hate thinking on a cold and wet morning but excellent article
“And, of course, the hypocrisy of a woman who has been out drinking until 4.00, without an escort, suddenly wanting the protect of Victorian rules of modesty, but without being willing to pay the price demanded, i.e. to act modestly, is rank. If you are in a bar without an escort, and you are young and female, expect to be hit on. You and yours helped make this society exactly what it is: you cannot expect men to act like gentlemen when every single damn word out of your collective mouth for the past three generations has been a denunciation, a mockery, an insult, and a discouragement to gentlemanly behaviors.

In morals as in economics, there ain’t no such thing as a free lunch. Do you regard modesty and chastity to be mere patriarchal restrictions and oppression, O ye ladies of the Left? Then utter no complaint when immodesty and unchastity of yourself and your sisters is answered by immodesty and unchastity by your menfolk.”

    • 49erDweet says:

      Good choice, Helen.

    off topic

have a feeling my grand daughter is going to hate me at Christmas. I just ordered from National Geographic three megaphones that change voices to sound like robots, or aliens or space travelers,
picture 3 boys ages 8 -7 -3 1/2 with these. her two sons and my grandson’s son.
think the kids will be playing outside with these
I think I am safe as I am several states away from her

    • DandyTIger says:

Could have been worse, you could have gone with a drum set.

    • elliesmom says:

I always make sure I give my grandkids at least one gift my daughter will regret. What fun would Christmas be if I didn’t?

      • Somebody says:

Elliesmom how old are your grandkids? I got airzookas one year for several of the kids at Christmas and they had a blast with them. Hell the adults had a blast with them, after a few drinks we had a betting pool going for the first person that could make my mom’s hair move, LOL! My mom has the church lady, laquered hair thing going on. My BIL got the lucky shot and pocketed $85, my mom was not amused!

    • Somebody says:

I got something similar years ago for my nephew and my BIL was some kind of ticked. My nephew LOVED it, his parents HATED it, LOL!

A little tip Helen, now go to your local Target and find the dollar section, which is usually in the front of the store. They have these space guns that are loud and annoying as hell. They’re on the bottom row at my Target but worth the squat, LOL! I got one for each of my brother’s boys….hehe. I’m such a fun Aunt!!

    another good read from http://townhall.com/columnists/kurtschlichter/2014/12/08/will-the-gop-lose-to-hillary-in-2016-by-nominating-a-loser-like-jeb-n1928071/page/full

“I think Walker, Jindal, and Paul are good guys who I’d love to see elected, but I think it will be tough for them. I think Perry had his chance and blew it. I think Kasich would lose because he’s chosen RINOhood – there’s no place in the GOP for a Hillary Lite. I love Ted Cruz. I’ve seen him speak and he’s greatly impressed me as a leader and a lawyer, and I’m sorry to say he has absolutely no chance of ever being president. As far as Rubio, he lied to us about immigration, and it’s going to take a lot to get me to forgive. I will never forget.

What’s going to happen? Who knows? It has two years to play out. In the meantime, who is telling the likes of Jeb that they should run for president? I’ve got to assume it’s Chuck Schumer, because he’s just devious enough to do it.

    • DandyTIger says:

I really, really don’t want to have another Bush. But if it’s Bush v Clinton, I think the stigma of both the Bush name and the royalty thing of the same family is greatly lessened since the alternative is the same, another Clinton. I would love neither Clinton nor Bush run. Let’s have a fresh start.

    • 49erDweet says:

RINOs are apparently incapable of seeing themselves in mirrors. Just a bit of freedom should be enough, they think. As if.

    • NewOrleans says:

Ugh! No more fucking Bushes or Clintons! The thought of being subjected to one of them on a daily basis makes me ill. The possibility of being subjected to BOTH is a punishment I don’t think I could endure. I’d rather have Lena Dunham stick rocks in one of my orifices than have to choose between those two. Yes, that’s how bad that would be!

On the other hand, I’d be excited as hell to get to vote for Mitt Romney again. Especially if he chose Trey Gowdy as his running mate.

Horrible day here in downtown Wisconsin. Must get off duff and figure out a way to get 10,000 steps indoors which is a bit difficult since I live in a small house.
    Be back later.

    • DeniseVB says:

piper, do you follow Ann Althouse’s blog ? Just wondering 😉

      • piper says:

I read her occasionally but do not have her bookmarked. Need to reduce time online (6 political sites visited daily with 3 news sites), with more time exercising as I will be seeing MD soon who always offers sage medical advice and meds which so far I have refused to take.
Husband was a bit nervous about my commenting so I have several poster names and perhaps one day will only use one. DH worked in a sensitive bank job. Besides this one, I enjoy Ms. Motus and her merry band of reflections.

    Moe Lane:

It really does astound me that the national Democratic apparatus apparently thought that they could defecate on an entire section of the country for fifty years and still get that section to vote for them at the end of it. What did they think Southerners are, hard Left progressives or something? Folks below the Mason-Dixon line have basic self-respect and dignity, is what I’m saying. Try to heap scorn on their heads, and they’ll vote with their feet.

    The South is solid red.

    • DandyTIger says:

What’s extra funny about that is that the north is steeped in victim ideology making their subjects effectively indentured servants to the state, whereas the south is for individual freedom and responsibility. We’re back to Dems for slavery and Repubs against slavery.

      • lyn says:

Exactly. The war is between the plantation blacks (Democrats) and the free blacks (conservative). Call me a racist, but this isn’t whiteys fight.

        • WMCB says:

Some of the black nationalists (there are many who are not the violent sort) are getting in on this as well: Stop chasing after prog whitey to fix it for you, and build your own community and alternative power structures.
