White People Riot In Columbus After Football Game, Media Calls It A ‘Celebration’

Police did not deploy military tanks, or open fire on a bunch of white people began rioting last night after Ohio State’s national title win over the Oregon Ducks. Property was destroyed, fires were started all over town.

Tear gas was used to break up crowds of what the news media deems as “revelers.”

Columbus Police Department spokeswoman Denise Alex-Bouzounis told NBC that about 8,000 students forced their way into The Horseshoe stadium and tore down a goal post.

She described the crowds as being “intense” after the game.

She did not call them vandals, thugs or rioters. Arrests were made apparently without beating the white rioters to a bloody pulp.

Police cars burned: 0

Buildings burned: 0

Stores looted: 0

Windows broken: 0

Consecutive nights of celebratory rioting: 1

I am not defending the actions of Ohio State fans. Celebrating by destroying your own community always seemed pointless and stupid, but it happens on a regular basis. But when it happens the primary motivating emotion is joy, not anger. The participants are celebrating, not protesting. On the other hand, if they break the law they should face the consequences.

In this case the police moved in, used some tear gas, and the riot/celebration ended after a few hours. Apparently no one was seriously injured. The fires were confined to a few dumpsters and old couches. These were different cops in a different town. Is their failure to overreact proof of racism?

If so, by whom?

It was the same old media though. Is the author suggesting that the liberal media is racist?

There don’t seem to be any videos of OSU fans chanting “Fuck the police” either.

As more than 1.5 million people, including 40 world leaders, converged on Paris on Sunday to rally for unity after terrorist attacks that left 17 innocent people dead, three young men in tracksuits and hoodies lounged outside a fast-food restaurant 10 miles north of the city in Sevran, one of France’s poorest suburbs.

Mehdi Boular, 24, who said he was married with two children, and two of his friends, did not attend Sunday’s rally.

“We’re Muslims,” Boular said. “They might have killed us if we’d gone.”

But even though the flags of Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia were flying at the rally in Place de la Republique and Muslims were well represented among the marchers Sunday, Boular said the attacks in Paris were part of a plot masterminded by Jewish conspirators.

“The Kalashnikovs, the identity cards the [killers] supposedly left behind, it was all staged,” said Boular, as his friends nodded in agreement. “It was a conspiracy designed by the Jews to make Muslims look bad. We’d rather just stay where we are.”

new obamacare idea, you do not need yearly physicals. so we should give that up so obamacare can pay for sandra flukes birth control pills. Wonder why I do not think that is a good idea?

    • 1539days says:

They found out that some people won’t get physicals even if they are “free” and others will get them because they have nothing else to do. Obamacare is having trouble when people have free will.

I love football and I’ve been to a lot of games in my lifetime. Funny every game I’ve ever gone to, whether it was a high school, college or pro game always had a mix of people of different races. In fact sports in general tends to unite people at least briefly as they cheer their team on.

The young 3rd string quarterback for Ohio State that rose to the occasion at the very end of the season and helped lead the team to the national title is black. Many of the students at Ohio State are black and asian and every other color. So why is it that the supposed riot was limited to whites? I smell bullshit, I guarantee you there were revelers of every race.

Tearing the goal post down after a winning championship game is sort of traditional. i.e. not reactionary.

OT. Gas down to $2.259 per gallon today. Doesn’t that include $1.26 in taxes? How do they do that?

The Obama administration is so upset with how the media is portraying Islam that they’ve announced a new edict that we must not use the terms “radical Islam” or “Islamic extremism,” but must now use the politically correct euphemism of “violent extremism based on a warped view of Islam.” No seriously, they said this.
