There’s about a thousand comments on the Cspan FB page about this. She’s still very polarizing, it’s either love or hate, no middle ground. I figure if you’re following Cspan on FB, you must be a voter. Hope the DNC catches it, lots are begging for more people to run on the Dem side.

Remember, the workforce is about 90 million. A thousand people would be about one out of every 90,000 employees. The forcing usually comes in early termination and loss of unemployment if they refuse.
Yeah, so “forcing” is a hot-button word that in other times would come under “negotiation”. I think hiring foreign workers here, when unemployment is so high, is bizarrely unamerican and should be triple taxxed

Off topic yesterday i went for a run. I am lazy for me buying running shoes is a workout. I gave up and was walking through the woods. It had rained very hard for days. A freaking horse stuck in the mud. She could not get out. I called the cops and they dug her out. Horses are huge. Size of a car. Must happen because they knew what to do. Put restraints on her head then dug her out. They held her steady with ropes on each side. Horses are really strong. Huge. The po po got her out and she ran home. Guess the storm scared her and she ran away. So odd i had deer and a horse in my life in a two day span. I live in the city random equine things do not happen. Had i not pretended to go for a runI would not have been lazy and took a short cut home. Indolence is a good thing ask a horse.

I was having breakfast with Elliesdad. He’s pretty far to the left of me politically. We aren’t as bad as Carville and Matalin, but you get the idea. I mentioned Hillary will be making her announcement today. His reply was, “In everything you not only have to have a good idea. You also have to have the idea at the right time and in the right place. If you jump the gun too soon or let the opportunity pass you by, you have to recognize it’s not going to happen. You either have to come up with another idea or recognize for you it’s not going to ever happen. Hillary Clinton, fortunately for her, has a good life and going home without the win is not a tragedy. The tragedy is not recognizing the failure gracefully.” He went on to discuss the sorry state of the Democratic Party’s bench making it harder for her to just go home. I suggested she was part of the reason they have no bench, and he didn’t disagree with me.

When the announcement is official I’m expecting all hell to break lose on the left. In 2008, they were deeply divided (at least on kos and du). Our local news asked on FB who are your dream team GOP and Dem candidates. For the Dems I put Jim Webb/Cory Booker and got trolled hard and called a facist. I have a feeling the Clinton supporters are going to be worse than the Obots.
It’s kind of like dealing with toddlers. When they stomp their feet and get their own way, they think foot stomping will always get them their own way. It’s harder to correct the behavior than it is to curb it at its start, but with firmness and fortitude, you can. And everyone is better off when you do, including the toddler. I think all of us are better prepared for it this time around, including the candidates. Getting DWS on the record that aborting a fully viable baby is OK may take some time to percolate up into the general discussion, but I already know two staunch Democrats who are horrified. “There has to be a middle ground.” I haven’t overcome the shock of hearing that coming from them yet. They “hate” Rand Paul and “all he stands for”, but he “uncovered a monster”.
I still think the dems would like Jeb if his last name was Smith.
