They’re gonna re-write history to make him historic. That was the plan all along.

President Obama: Stirs up racism, then uses a funeral from a race attack to promote gun restrictions.

    • votermom says:

I can’t stand the squeeing about his singing. From the 5 second excerpt I heard on the news, it was baaaaad.

    • piper says:

      A good read
“One would think that if God’s grace were really part of commemorating a “good man,” the latter example of violence would take precedence over the former, but it didn’t. Instead, Obama exploited a man’s death to suggest that gun control is necessary and that “we express God’s grace…by making the moral choice” to agree with a liberal agenda, which includes facing the “uncomfortable truths about the prejudice that still infects our society.”

Finally, at the conclusion of his rant on how racial injustice gave Pastor Clementa Pinckney’s life purpose, Barack ‘Al Green’ Obama broke into John Newton’s old hymn Amazing Grace.

And thus ended yet another eulogy that the president ‘fundamentally transformed’ from a spirit-filled memorial into an ‘amazing disgrace.’

The part that bothers me about the speechifying and the singing, is the part where the guy who chooses the golf course over the church pew, Sunday after Sunday, with the possible exceptions of Christmas and Easter photo-ops; shows up for a funeral and somehow becomes the most churchy person in the place. He just bursts right into song! AS IF he didn’t rehearse that on the plane.
He turned that tribute into a tribute to himself. He didn’t even know Rev Pinckney . This is more of a tribute to the Reverend

Here’s his legacy: they cratered to Iran in the negotiations. There will be no inspections, says the ayatollah—-and they all went home.
      Iran won.

It’s cold and rainy today here in Boston. It feels more like April than almost July. The good news is I can’t mow the lawn.

    • 1539days says:

Same here. It is definitely not hot enough for me.
No lawn today, but it’s just going to get taller.

    • piper says:

Cool and sunny here in downtown Wisconsin which is a perfect day for planting more bushes around the homestead. Waiting for PM delivery of new living room sofa which was only ordered 6 months ago. Victorian chairs are great to look at but a big pain in the tush IYKWIM.

    • Constance says:

We have some weird muggy, hot, humid, thunder and lightening with no rain thing going on here in Seattle. At least it isn’t 90 degrees like yesterday.

      • elliesmom says:

I’ll be in Seattle in September, What should I pack?

        • Constance says:

Seattle is usually beautiful in September. Any 90 degree days should be over and the rainy season doesn’t really start until the last week of October. People don’t really dress up in Seattle so you can bring all purpose clothes and fit in anywhere. If you are near Puget Sound always bring a coat. I was out on the Anacortes/Friday Harbor ferry in 90 degrees yesterday and had to wear a heavy wind breaker. Also most people don’t have air conditioning and you can’t count on restaurants to be air conditioned. Luckily it always cools off to the low 60s at night.

    • That’s how it was here Friday and most of Saturday. The sun broke through late Saturday, but temps remained cool through this afternoon. It’s just heating back up again now.

  4. leslie says:

Day 2 of “cleaning out the office”. My wonderful daughter helped me yesterday and today, I’ll try finishing up (everything except what I may need for the next 2 days). Yesterday, besides the clean up, I put in 4 hours of work work. I am now shut out of the time reporting system, even though they expect me to work. Hmmm, is there something going on that I’m not getting here? (besides getting paid)
Who was it suggested that I bring in videographers?

  5. votermom says:

I just read tbis article from a Spanish economist in 2012 on how welfare and price controls destroyed Rome.
    Really good.

    • DandyTIger says:

This will be an interesting conflict. Will the pastors and congregations STFU and work to unify and help elect Hillary, or will there be a big divide that effects the black vote?

      • piper says:

I hope not. Time for new blood and direction – I know it’s a pipe dream that this would happen given how many congress critters bow down to lobbyists and global corporations.

    • Saw this coming. Have been reading some of the fallout at Urban Intellectuals and such. It’s fascinating. I hope a big public schism is coming.

This is my favorite deranged narcissistic tweet from the article you posted:

    • Mary says:

There it is…as we all predicted. Next up: Black pastors objecting to new same sex marriages, and refusal to do services for them.

      • lyn says:

Will the LBGT community harass those black churches who object to SSM?

        • lyn says:

          (I know, church isn’t a who.)

        • Anthony says:

Maybe not the gay community, but definitely a Soros funded group who are posing as gays (like that chick who climbed up the flagpole and then let it out that Soros didn’t pay her the 10K and bail for the stunt).

I don’t know about most gays, but I was raised Roman Catholic, and have understood all along that I was persona non grata in their community. Other Christian sects feel similarly.

If I was going to get married, a church would be the LAST place I’d want to do that in.

          • lyn says:

😦 I hear you. Thanks for your comment, Anthony.

          • Mary says:

On the other hand, Lyn, there are plenty of verrrry bitter gays who feel rejected by the churches they grew up in. They’ll want to push the question—not that they care about a ceremony in that church—but just to shame the people they feel shamed them.

Just as sure as night follows day…..that lawsuit’s gonna happen.

          • Anthony says:

Mary, do you have any links for examples of this accusation? I’ve been gay for a long time, and have never (even once) heard any other gay talking about messing with the church. Is what you say true? or just an assumption?

I will be waiting in bed. 😯

    • piper says:

Agree – this morning crawled out of bed, made coffee and tried blogging on the patio but those darn middle age neighbors are mowing their lawns disturbing an oldster’s (me) peace and quiet.
Working up courage to try new exercise program.

My mother is a cunt. I say that wiyh ove. She hates gay people. She is still my momand I love her.i l live in an apartment in my parents basement.Funny ha ha I live in my parents basement. I bought thr house 20 years ago. . No one knows. It can be funn yThanksgiving dinnertwo of my brothers decided to add a line so my parents had cell phones. They called me selfish. I never told them I bought the house i pay all utilities and in ten years I have never metioned it yet I am still loser brother stealing food. I so steal food. Tons. My gay hating mom always buys 99 cent sa l sbuty steaks. I mush them upon white bread then smother with gravy. Yummy!

    • Constance says:

Tell people (your family) you bought the house and pay the bills Mothy67. Do not go along with family secrets. I get so sick of these family myths and the implication that I should play along. I actually had a relative tell me I was “making things ugly” by refusing to go along with a family fable about a supposed head of household. BS I work my ass off and he isn’t taking credit for what I’ve managed to create. You need to have the credit you deserve.

Seems a good in depth explanation of what and who was acting and hiding. Perhaps it will finally open some eyes.

We lost something very special in this accident.
A special camera to record meteor showers will launch to the International Space Station aboard SpaceX’s Dragon cargo craft, currently scheduled to launch on June 28, 2015, from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. The Meteor investigation should be installed in the station’s Window Observational Research Facility by the end of July, enabling scientists to learn more about the composition and behavior of asteroids and comets that cross paths with Earth. The investigation’s camera is programmed to record known major meteor showers during its two-year orbit and could spot unpredicted showers as well.

This here is what is called “nutpicking”:

Lest you think I am exaggerating…
Posted on June 27, 2015 by riverdaughter

… about how dangerous undue influence can be, check out Confederate Pam’s twitter feed. When I first saw her tweets popping up at #freebree, I thought she must be a troll or something. Her stuff is so over the top it’s a wonder she hasn’t been banned by Twitter for hate speech. But it looks like she is the real thing. She hates African Americans, healthcare and gay people. And she’s got a special place in her, well, let’s not call it a heart, for liberals.

She could be one of my sister’s friends.

Oh, and she seems to watch an awful lot of Fox News. Hmmm…

I’m sure there’s no correlation. Butcha know, you are who you hang out with.

    Just sayin’.

Nutpicking is where you go find a nut online and then pretend that they are representative of a larger group.

There is a lot of crazy on the internet. I suspect that a good part of it is false flag trolling. But citing someone with 152 Twitter followers as proof of anything is pretty sketchy.

If you go looking for something on the internet there is a good chance you will find it somewhere. You can find granny porn, tranny porn, midget porn online (so I hear). I betcha you could find granny tranny midget porn too, if you were inclined to look. That doesn’t mean that granny tranny midget porn is a common fetish.

    • swanspirit says:

Buffoon Juice does that all the time. Actually, John has posted that ascribing the attributes of various and sundry “nutbags” ( he called me that once on FB and then wondered why i was offended) to the larger group is part of the plan. They deliberately paint the Republicans as wingnuts by pointing out individuals on the lunatic fringe. As if, there aren’t any whackos who are democrats. I like your term for it.

I had managed to miss the useless fools latest attempt to make it all about him. Now I cannot get an image of him in cartoon form trying out for the Gong Show.

BO does realize that Amazing Grace is an old white guys poem/hymn from the 18th century? Worse, an old white guy from England. And the best known version uses a tune called Britain (or sometimes New Britain).

Of course that is about finding GOD’s Amazing Grace is above his pay grade.
