Y’all just got caught harvesting and selling baby parts and you have the nerve to call Scott Walker “extreme?” That’s chutzpah.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker signed legislation Monday banning abortions after 20 weeks from fertilization.
Action on the abortion bill came after Walker announced his bid for the presidency and then made a cross-country tour of early primary states. A committed, longtime opponent of abortion, Walker repeatedly declined to say what he thought of the idea when he ran for re-election last year, but as his presidential run has taken off he has said he supports the measure and would sign it.
Walker said Monday that at this point in a pregnancy a fetus in the womb can feel pain, an assertion that the medical establishment says is unproven.
“At five months, that’s the time when that unborn child can feel pain,” Walker said. “When an unborn child can feel pain, we should be protecting that child.”
Texas passed the same law, which made Wendy Davis famous for opposing it. How did that work out for her?
