New Hillary Video On Urgent Threat We Face…From Climate Change…

‘Stand for reality’? How about the reality that no one who is a scientist would actually honestly say ‘the science is settled’? Not to mention the repeated lies and manipulations anti-science climate change mongers promote.

I have watched the nags, eco nuts, and professional hectors crank up the anti-air conditioning rhetoric lately. I live where it is extremely hot in the summers (and humid) and remember the era of no air conditioning when I was very young. Winters are very mild with a few cold blasts that only last a day or two. While living inland the temperate Gulf of Mexico is not that far away as the crow flies. My father’ family moved here in the general area in the early 1840’s. Before that they were in the South from 1665 when they left Massachusetts. One of the reason they left was the horrible weather and the lousy quality of the land for pasturage. And Puritans. They were dissenters from coastal northern Wales and the weather was mild which is why kings and noblemen wanted their land.

Now the heirs to the same fanatics are cranking up the same old crap telling others what and how they are to live. Air conditioning is cheaper and more energy efficient in the south and southwest than keeping the North from freezing to death. It is also cheaper. It never occurs to me to tell people with cold winters to freeze their asses off during the winter. Why would they want me to boil in the summer? My electric bill is much less than theirs on the average. And I have gas heat so my winter bill is like $40 a month in the winter for heat. I also have a house built for my climate with large eaves, trees for shade, porches, no windows on the west side, etc. Do they? Why do they think people keep moving south? The quality of life is better for the cost overall.

I am starting to think that we can’t function as a country much longer. Irreconcilable differences. Like a long marriage that goes bad. The love, respect, courtesy is just gone. Complete lack of reason and wishing ill upon the other should not have to be born. Please cut off the AC in Washington and NYC and see how many people stay. That is why my ancestors left those areas a very long time ago.

    • DeniseVB says:

We used to set our a/c at 80 to save money and the environment. No more. She cranks at 72 these days and we figured our bill to be about $2 a day more. Less cranky, better sleep: priceless. Though we do pray to the heat pump gods nothing blows up during the scorchers. We are spoiled rotten and not sure how we survived our childhoods without it.

      • Lulu says:

Our A/C is set at 79. Both of us grew up in the heat and that feels cool to us. In the winter it is 74 because we think we are freezing. In the spring and fall (not many days of that) the windows are open. We are not, nor have we ever been, energy hogs and I resent eco, ignorant, assholes saying entire regions that they are. They have no clue. And they can’t do math which we already knew. And we ship energy to them because they won’t allow it to be accessed in their region. The Puritans had huge fights over who had to cut the firewood. They wanted someone else to do it. What has changed except the source of the fuel?

        • DeniseVB says:

We keep winter settings at 66, so I guess we make back some of our summer splurge😉

We’re pretty lucky in coastal Virginia to have short summers and winters, but they can be unbearably hot and cold, so those seasons seem longer.

        • 49erDweet says:

The very same ijits who import other peoples power for a thousand miles get on their high horses bc CA imports their own water hundreds of miles. Logical? Not so much.

          • DeniseVB says:

Did the recent floods fill up the resevoirs? I saw where they took out roads and bridges, hope they didn’t wash away the smelt😉

          • 49erDweet says:

No. That huge wall of water from the bridge washout didn’t even make it 34 miles downhill to the Salton Sea. Soaked into the dry sand of an ancient wash bed within 12 miles. That’s how dry the state is. BTW, that highway biz that was closed is my daughters.
But it looks like we’ve got an El Niño building up. Should have ample flooding by this winter.

          • 49erDweet says:

Normally CA has 22 completely different climate zones. Weather in one usually barely impacts another. Big state, lots of ocean frontage. Plus oodles of weather can come up from the Gulf of May-hee-ko.

      • piper says:

At this point in my life after many years of being frugal and working hard, AC is set at 71 and the heat at 68. Tired of hearing from activists and trust fund people how to run my life while these so-called global warming idjits need to be rescued from icy areas. Plus recent expedition put on hold due to ice.

        • DeniseVB says:

All I have to do is look to the Climate Change Warriors, like Obama, DiCaprio, Gore etc, notice the hypocrisy of their limos, motorcades, private jets and stately mansions, and breathe a sigh of relief and continue my comfortable life 😉 <——-yep, I'm a middle class radical.

          • Dora says:

Barbra Striesand has an apartment on 5th Ave in NYC which she keeps cold as a freezer, just for the purpose of storing her fur coats! I kid you not!

          • leslie says:

My daughter helped me a week ago to install my window AC’s – The HOA “allows” me only 1 on the south side of my unit and none on the west side. It makes no sense, but that’s how it goes here. So I set the one in my bedroom at 75 and the one in my kitchen to 73. But they’re only on when I’m home and when it is really hot out. So far, so good. I don’t know how I managed to survive the summer of ’95 when over 700 people died here. At that time, they permitted ZERO AC’s in my unit or the one above me. When I threatened to sue they allowed us 1 window AC on the street side of the building. (There are only 3 of the 27 units with this configuration.) Of course the board members of the HOA had central AC in their 3rd floor (to floor) units because they could have the AC compressors on the roof of the building.

Axe is full of it. Thanks to his boss lady ValJar, the Dems are probably going to have an old crazy white man (Bernie or Biden) as their candidate. He and ValJar made sure any competition got wiped out in 2008, 2010, and 2014. Now they got nuthin’ but a bunch of old creaky has-beens who managed to hang on with their teeth. What brilliant planning for the future of the party Axe. F’ing genius. Why don’t you go back to the UK and loose some more historic elections.

      • leslie says:

They made certain that any real opposition was eliminated way before having Ryan’s divorce records opened. they also had another Republican’s divorce files opened prior to the Republican primary. I’ve been searching for the info but have been unable to unearth it. Maybe someone else has better recall, but I remember there was another Republican who was actively running before the primary who “voluntarily” stepped down as his “domestic abuse” records were opened. As it turns out, the charges were fabricated to hasten his divorce proceedings – at least that’s what I recall. I’m going to continue to look for the name.

A blistering one this morning from the Cluster…have to say I agree…

    • DandyTIger says:

Interesting cluster article. Not sure how he thinks trains will be working if cars and planes aren’t. They all run on similar juice. And as we eventually need to adapt to other means of power, they would likely all adapt in similar ways. Also seems to be very much against national and global commerce (e.g., Walmart, large medical orgs, etc.). Some interesting luddite, dreaming of third world, leanings there. But I love a good rant just the same.🙂

        Best part, he then goes into what the Government should do to fix things. {{cartoon whaaa whaaa whaaa sound}}

      • DandyTIger says:

But he does have some great points. And I’m happy he’s noticed the techno-industrial society is up against a contraction and collapse. Good for him. But sadly falls back to big Gov. to fix… what big Gov. helped create.

Jeb Bush, Rubio, Lindsey Graham in… Trump Is Out of NH Voter’s First Debate

RINO Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio and Lindsey Graham will participate in the Voter’s First Forum in New Hampshire on August 3rd along with 11 other GOP candidates.

But Donald Trump will not attend the event after the organizers published a brutal hit piece on the GOP front-runner.

    • DandyTIger says:

They may go to far pushing him out like that. Trump has made it clear that he wants a fair GOP campaign process. If he’s screwed over, he’ll pull a Perot.

      • DeniseVB says:

As a third party candidate, if he’s pulling at least 15%, that would put him on the debate stage…..if it’s against Hillary/JEB! ….. he might even pull off a win.

His problem seems to be with the media more than the other candidates, especially that the same media isn’t asking Tricky Hilly (D) to pull out.

    • DandyTIger says:

The GOP just decided Hillary will be president.

    • Lulu says:

That was supposed to be a “forum” of some kind sponsored by the media of NH and Iowa and on CSPAN. I’m not sure how they thought attacking one of the people they were supposed to be questioning was fair or a smart thing to do. It looks like a set up. I’m not watching it if they are ganging up on individual candidates. If Trump hadn’t popped up they would have done it to Cruz or Fiorina or Ben Carson. Fuck them.

      • DeniseVB says:

I saw that on the Cspan site saying they’d be covering this one because it included all the candidates, but not covering the Fox debate because they not including everyone. (Fox should have gone with a forum format instead of a stupid poll that fits “their” agenda).

        • Lulu says:

Let the fighting begin. I presume Trump will be in the Fox one due to his polling but if the media via the flunkies in the Iowa and NH MSM want to do the work for the GOP hacks and contributors of Bush, Rubio, et al there will be blow back. Everyone already hates the media why make the public madder when your viewership and subscriptions are already falling? They just don’t get that they are picking the candidates this time as the public is sick of it.

    • leslie says:

Lindsey Graham????? Are you kidding me? yes. they want to lose so they don’t have to make – or keep – any promises.

      • Lulu says:

        The Gay Goober!

        • leslie says:

Have I ever shared here that Ms Lindsey is the spitting image of my best friend’s mother?
I have seen that since the very beginning – even as a younger man(?) he looked as if he could step right into the role without detection. lol

          • Lulu says:

His love ( and hers for him) of his sister is real and their story of their parents deaths is compelling and difficult. I admire what each of them overcame both individually and together. He is a good person to the people he loves. But that doesn’t mean squat in a run for prezzy. I would hope all of the families see the good in them for crying out loud. I always though Leiberman looked like a troll out of a fairy tale so Lindsey as Mrs Doubtfire is doable.

          • DeniseVB says:

He has suggested his sister would serve as First Lady.

          • leslie says:

Thanks. I’ll have to read about them. But I won’t vote for him. just saying.

          • DeniseVB says:

My eyes and political heart are wide open this election cycle. If I’m going to vote for a “Senator” Cruz is a nobrainer. The Gov’s too, Walker. I’m torn between the CEO’s Trump and Fiorina. Then I think, Obama was the worst political experiment ever, why not Trump/Fiorina?

          • leslie says:

I’d like Cruz/Fiorina myself. I think if NOT Cruz, then maybe Walker/Fiorina. but that could change in another 6 months. What if Romney were to be called into the mix?

Basically he did. The problem is that they want it to be “given” to them instead of developing it themselves. They also want someone else to pay for it while people are struggling to feed and house and educate themselves. No one is stopping them. Go for it. Don’t ask me to pay or do it for you though. They might check out how Asians do it. Or Jews or Italians did it. I know they were white but segregation and discrimination is illegal now. So Just Do It! It was hard for the other groups too!

      • DeniseVB says:

They’re certainly being given the “opportunity” no matter who’s in power and they’re protected by laws for every one of their demands. So what’s stopping them ? They don’t need no revolution or burn sh*t down, they need to get off their asses and BE THE DAMN CHANGE THEY DEMAND. Ugh, it’s like dealing with moody teenagers.

So I come home from the dentist and turn on the tv and Judge Judy is on. Before I could find the other remote and change the channel I noticed that one of the litigants had unusually large breasts.

(I won’t lie – the first thing I thought (and spontaneously exclaimed) was “Damn, that girl has huge titties!”)

So I didn’t change the channel right away. It turns out that the reason she had such enormous bewbies was that he bought them for her. But before she even healed up where he could enjoy them they split up and she married a different dude. So he wanted her to repay him for the work she had done.

I’d have made the new guy pay for ’em but JJ said that since she had ’em she had to pay for ’em.

    • 1539days says:
