Literally unbelievable.

Just watch it.

The things, you say
Your purple prose just gives you away
The things, you say
You’re unbelievable

I am embarrassed by and ashamed of my previous support for and defense of Hillary Clinton.

  2. DandyTIger says:

    That actually makes me sad.

    • leslie says:

Frankly, I don’t think it mattered WHAT she said. It wouldn’t have been the right thing to these victims of hatred and racial targeting. She could’ve offered to put them in her cabinet and they would have seen it as a way to shut them up or to pander to them, In every the report, Jones said her response was victim blaming. Of course it was. Of course it was. Guess who else’s give a damn is busted?

    • Jeffhas says:

Personally I think she handled this well – she didn’t exactly let them push her around like they’ve done to O’Malley and Sanders… Of course what good will it do her when she’s indicted…? Or pardoned because of an impending indictment.

  3. swanspirit says:

Hillary reminds me of a sports hero, like a tennis player , who is past their prime and time, doesn’t have “it” anymore, but refuses to quit the game, and is in denial about their ability to play at their previous levels of skill.
    Sad, and painful to watch.

  4. She is just not the same person I went all-in for in 2008. I am convinced of that. Granted, I may still have been wearing some light shade of rose-colored glasses, but still…she really isn’t the same after 7 years of Obolas abuse. And SHE let it happen. Stockholm Syndrome, IMO.

  5. votermom says:

Hillary is now the biggest clown running for president.

  6. elliesmom says:

She and Bill have got away with so much I think they think there is nothing that can’t be swept under the rug. I hope they’re wrong, but I’m not sure they are.

  7. Jeffhas says:

She is toast. If there is any way that she actually beats this wrap, everyone will believe the fix was in. She should just ask for a Presidential pardon now, and hope the investigation stops because why bother if she’s gonna be pardoned anyways – and hope (pray) the public doesn’t demand a conclusion regardless of a pardon.

Basically… It’s over. Get ready for President Trump, because he can win against whatever bafoon fills her spot.

    • Myiq2xu says:

I think the Democrats are in the same position that the GOP was in 2008 – they know they are gonna lose so they need someone to take one for the team. McCain was never supposed to win.

OTOH, in 1992 Bill Clinton was supposed to be the token opponent against the very popular GHWB. Then a funny thing happened.

      • Jeffhas says:

In 2008, any, and I mean ANY Democrat was going to win against the Republican…. THAT is why Obama was selected. In what other election does a half term Senator beat a full term Senator and – POPULAR ex-President’s wife like Hillary? It doesn’t happen, the fix was in, because ANY Democrat was going to win anyways. I thank Pelosi and Reid for the most part – but that’s only because I cannot see behind the curtain.

      • 1539days says:

Given the vote totals in 2008, you have a strong argument. I still think that McCain was the front runner because of a potential match-up with Hillary. Everyone else was a lightweight and Hillary was being promoted as being a super Senator and 2 for 1. Mostly, the Hillary hate among the Republicans is strong and someone like McCain who had a maverick reputation, night have been able to pull it off.

McCain against Obama was pretty likely to fail. Obama ran as anti-partisan and had no record to prove otherwise. The media sucked up every talking point (just a guy in the neighborhood) and let horrible accusation against McCain stand.

Obama is worse than Bush. Democrat numbers in Congress plummeted from 2009 to 2015. Most of the remaining members are about 1 more Senate term from death. Look at the median age of GOP vs. Dem candidates for president.

1992 is also right. Some of the more prominent Democrats sat out that year because Bush was riding a post Iraq War high. Then Serpent Head (aka garbage can head) talked down the economy. Kerry tried the same thing in 2004, but the economy started improving during the general election.

You’re unbelievable is the perfect themesong for Hillary’s campaign.
We should pick songs for the others too.

  9. Kathy says:

It’s been a long time justice was blind in our country. The more I see Hillary now, the more I realize that our divorce is final. Maybe she has lived so long among the ‘rich and connected’ that she believes she is special.

    • Somebody says:

I think that is the case Kathy. I think she believes the rules are for the little people. She’s not the first politician to feel that way and she won’t be the last.

To my mind, to hell with did you wipe the server, how about why were you using a private server in the first place? The only plausible explanation is to circumvent the law, that alone is enough to disqualify her in my opinion. The wiping of the server and the classified stuff is just icing on the corrupt cake.

      • Myiq2xu says:

I don’t think circumventing the law was her primary goal. She wanted to circumvent presidential oversight.

        • leslie says:

I thought the same, Klown. But I heard something this morning on Morning Joe that made some sense to me. She wanted to keep her political contacts closely protected and she kept them on this server so she could access it easily. And yes. It was to keep those contacts private.

        • Somebody says:

I think it was more to circumvent PUBLIC oversight for her coming POTUS bid. That way she could claim whatever accomplishments she wanted to and erase anything that was less than flattering.

To be fair when you’re “making sausage” things can get rather messy. I think she didn’t want anybody to be able to truly scrutinize her time as SOS. Sure she probably wanted to circumvent Obama and Jarrett, wouldn’t you? After all that wing of the Dem party is at odds with the Clinton wing, there is an internal power struggle so protecting connections would be a priority.

However, I think her primary focus was a POTUS run, I don’t think she ever took her eyes off that particular prize. I’d also be willing to bet Bill was part and parcel with the decision making on most of these things. They’ve had their eye on another gig in the WH since he left office.

Hillary’s run ended on the 13th green on Martha’s Vineyard when Obama promised Bill a pardon for her if she got out and endorsed who Obama wanted. It’s over.

      • cynic says:

and can I just say, Hillary’s handlers need to tell her, “No more wearing orange!” yeesh

Trump’s interview with the Hollywood Reporter is a hoot. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/features/donald-trump-murdoch-ailes-nbc-816131
Example: Will you go on Brian Williams’ show when he’s on MSNBC?

I wasn’t a fan of Brian Williams. First of all, I think he made a terrible mistake. He handled the situation horribly, and he should have left with dignity and shouldn’t have gone back to work for the same company. For him to go from the parent to the poor sister [network] — and that’s not even the poor sister, that’s the poor baby. He has never treated me well, so I’m not a fan. How is he going to do? I think he’ll do fine. MSNBC is lucky to have him. But if I were in Brian’s shoes, I would never have gone back. I’m sure he doesn’t need the money.

While, I too am disappointed in Hillary, remember there are only allegations of wrongdoing , here. Every article suggests evil and intent, but everyone uses words like “might” contain secrets. or could show to contain. So far, there is no “there” there.
Just as it has always been. No proof of ANY wrongdoing in all the alleged scandals. None. Zip. Nada.
But a lot of mileage has been made in accusing her.
I am not defending her, just throwing in some objective thought.

    • leslie says:

Someone on Morning Joe said something similar this morning. S/He said that Whitewater turned out to be much ado about nothing. And that this could be the very same thing.
