Game of Thrones, Obama Version

He hates her. He really hates her.

Monica Crowley:

Why Obama is torpedoing Hillary Clinton

There is only one person who controls Hillary Clinton’s fate, and it isn’t Hillary Clinton.

Mrs. Clinton is careening toward possible criminal charges involving her alleged mishandling of classified material on her personal email server while she was secretary of State. And President Obama is driving the bus.

She and her team have, of course, reverted to form, blaming everyone but themselves: a “right-wing conspiracy,” The New York Times, overzealous investigators. What they are missing, however, is the one figure who wants her taken out politically, and who has the power to do it.

She and Mr. Obama have a long history as frenemies. Recall Mr. Obama’s rejoinder at a 2008 debate, when Mrs. Clinton touted her likability: “You’re likable enough.” Or recall President Bill Clinton’s famous put-down of Mr. Obama: “A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee.”

Beyond the bad blood, however, Mr. Obama has a more important reason for doing her in. As I have written previously, he needs a successor he can control. Over the years, including recently, he has waxed rhapsodic over a possible third term to continue his “fundamental transformation of the nation.” Mrs. Clinton will not provide it; therefore, she must be sidelined.

If Mr. Obama does not want an investigation to go forward, it does not go forward. Witness the scandals involving the Internal Revenue Service, Benghazi, Veterans Administration and Operation Fast and Furious gunrunning. In each case, Mr. Obama claimed he learned about the scandal “from the news.” (That’s interesting coming from a guy who claims he only rarely watches or reads said “news.”)

He then expressed his “outrage” and vowed to “get to the bottom” of each scandal. (Of course, it’s tough to “get to the bottom” of something when you are the bottom of it.)

In those cases, he protesteth too much. His faux outrage was a “tell” that he had no intention of investigating. In Mrs. Clinton’s case, he’s been quiet. Too quiet. That’s a “tell” that he wants this investigation pursued, likely to the point of charging her.

He has others talking, however. Each week, there are damaging new leaks about her personal email and server: that despite her denials, she did, in fact, have top-secret and other highly classified materials on the server, that the FBI is conducting a criminal probe and the bureau is “optimistic” it can retrieve the wiped data, that she may have had a second server, that her top aides — Huma Abedin, Cheryl Mills and Jake Sullivan — are now also in investigators’ sights.

Mr. Obama is a clever dark knight: he’s not just going after the queen. He’s going after her court, too.

These leaks are not happening by accident.

This part I’m not so sure about:

This brings us to the certain presidential candidacy of Vice President Joe Biden, the one person who can effectively give Mr. Obama that third term. Indications are that he is seriously contemplating it, making initial plans, reaching out to potential donors, and benefiting from the Obamaites whipping up Biden buzz. The White House is even floating the idea of one-term for Mr. Biden, to reassure voters that they wouldn’t be making a long-term commitment (even though, as an extension of Obama’s presidency, it would be.)

Like the Clinton investigation, this is not by accident.

Once Mr. Biden joins the race, he will enjoy the full backing of Mr. Obama. With Mrs. Clinton gone, however, Mr. Obama and Mr. Biden will have to make it up to Democratic women and the radical left, which is currently flirting with socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders.

There is only one person who kills both birds with one stone: Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

The Democratic ticket will be Joe Biden-Elizabeth Warren. That’s what Mr. Obama wants. And what Mr. Obama wants, Mr. Obama gets.

This part I agree with 100%:

This is “Game of Thrones.” And Mr. Obama is winning.

Those of us who were partisans de Hillary back in 2008 know that there element within the Democrat party that despises Bill and Hillary Clinton. Barack Obama was covertly recruited and supported by that faction to run against Hillary.

I don’t want to delve into the disturbed psyche of our 44th President, but it’s pretty clear that Barack Obama has nothing but contempt for Hillary. Those closest to him (ValJar, Mo) feel the same way.

They would rather see a Republican in the Oval Office than another Clinton presidency. They don’t even want her to get the nomination.

They are basically writing off 2016 and setting their sights on 2020.

Serves her right after she ditched her voters in 2008 to go along with the Obama coronation
And it really serves her right after lying about Benghazi in front of the bodies of the 4 Americans killed there.
    She made her bed.

    • Lulu says:

She threw in with him when she took SOS. She could/should have stayed in the Senate. But she wanted to burnish her resume instead of doing the right thing and staying far away from what she knew for a fact were scum. Think what she could have done in the Senate knowing who these people are. I have no sympathy.

      • DeniseVB says:

SoS made the Clintons very wealthy, how convenient. And if Obama wants to run a scam foundation, he’ll need the Clinton donors, how convenient for him to destroy her.

    • swanspirit says:

It does serve her right, but I hate to see Obama win again. She allowed that too , she walked right into it.

      And it’s crawling with fleas.

    I’m shocked…not.

  6. Mary says:

Hard for me to believe Joe Biden–if he chose to run—would accept Mr. Obama’s dictate that he only serve one term. Why would he let Obama/Valjar/MO treat him so shabbily?

VJ is African American and Huma is Indian/Pakistani; the Barry’s Iranian advisers are hiding in the shadows

Jarrett’s parents were black American ex-pats living abroad. She was born in Iran in 1956, she didn’t enter America until 1963.
Huma Abedin was born in Michigan to an Indian dad & Pakistani mom. They moved to Saudi Arabia when she was two, and she grew up there, came back to America at age 18 to attend college.
So nationalities are American, loyalties are a different question (specially in Huma’s case).

I will say again. I love Trump. To quote Olivia Newton John ….. If Not for You. I disagree with a lot of the Donald but i think the man is a hero. None of this stuff would be discussed.

I jumped the shark. I love my brat so much but I am always afraid. I am her great gay uncle. Am i making mistakes. So afraid. LET ME be There. Olivia Newton John. Who knew. I am off to buy poster boards. I will write Let me be there. Song is very sweet. I treasure my kid often I do not know which way is up. My job is to make sure if she ponders where up is I am there. Let Me Be There is corny but perfect.

He says he missed two years of school but he graduated on time and won a scholarship to Morehouse. Then he had to drop out for a while due to surgeries but by 23 he had already graduated and had a good job, wife, baby and new home when he was horribly injured in an accident in which he was thrown thru the windshield, hit a guardrail and was tossed back into the car. He sustained life-threatening injuries that left him with a broken leg and a shredded face, but no broken facial bones and he mentions no internal injuries.

    • This is a good one.

Somebody needs to do a serious juxtaposition of the reaction to Rachel Dolezal and to Shaun King, because this can all be explained through the hierarchy of #maleprivilege inherent in the structure of American culture in general, and black culture in particular.

The whole thing goes back to his days when he himself has said he carried a gun to school and wore gold and thought himself a thug. The “beat down” that at the center of his story of how he came to be an activist begins by him aggressively demanding that an ex-girlfriend repay him $8 for a CD she accidentally broke. There’s a lot to this story. If I wrote it, it would be about 2500 words. I’m sure someone else can be more succinct. Unless you want it for a Sunday Sermon, because that’s how long it would take me to pull the myriad sources and unpack the story.

      • Myiq2xu says:

Somebody should do a serious investigation of all of his claims and lay them out side by side with news articles and police reports. He should have extensive scarring from all his injuries and surgeries.

  13. 1539days says:

Hillary could go a long way by explaining why she had a secret server. I happen to think it’s because she didn’t want the Obama administration to have full access to her e-mails. The White House has not been shy about doxxing people they don’t like or tapping phones and tracking movements of people (James Rosen comes to mind). Team Hillary would never say that because it would take Obama loving votes from her. She’s not going to get them anyway.

  15. elliesmom says:

I don’t hate Hillary Clinton. I hate how cynical she made me become. I hate that living to see a woman become POTUS is off my bucket list. I hate how she made me so unwilling to ever vote for a Democrat again I have to compromise some of my core beliefs and vote Republican. I hate how much I blame her for that more than I blame Obama. If she had just supported a floor vote at the convention, I could blame Obama instead. I hate how she has made me re-evaluate how I feel about Bill Clinton. If she hadn’t decided to run this time, I could probably have remained oblivious to what the Clinton Foundation represents. I used to like Bill. I hate how I have to keep asking myself if I’d be this disillusioned by a male candidate, which makes me wonder if supporting women because they’re women has meant I have supported other women who didn’t deserve it. There are months of my life I’ll never get back. I wonder how they could have been better spent. No, I don’t hate Hillary Clinton. I hate that I was that stupid.

    • mothy67 says:

Good God I hear you I never wanted to ever use the term I hate but Hillary pushed me there.

What you said, elliesmom. It’s so funny, I woke up this morning with some of those thoughts rattling around in my head. Mostly because I was picking out a shirt to wear and came across the shirts I bought when I visited the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum several years ago.

I think he made a gigantic mistake. He included himself as an ‘anchor baby’. Bye Bye Rubio.

Rubio: Anchor Babies Are People, Human Beings With A Story

Notice how he uses ‘we’ when he references anchor babies.

  17. ginnyroemer says:

A lot of Obama’s people still hate Hillary. (( I am still pissed at Obama because the party just GAVE Hillary’s hard earned Michigan delegates to Obama that May 30th 2008. ))

But Obama needs a democratic successor and Hillary is his only Hope! So this sabotage won’t last. Bigger question is whether or not the black vote turns out in the fall of 2016 — at all.

Monica Crowley is a has been looking for a big spin to her little facts. The media is bored with the democratic primary. “Idle hands are the devil’s playground!” The real drama happens in the fall of 2016 – long time from now.
