I didn’t want my Taylor Swift thread getting sullied so I’m starting a fresh one. Is anybody watching the Kid’s Table Debate?

I gotta go mow the lawn.

I have it on and I’ve listened to little bits and pieces while cleaning the kitchen. Jindal has done a good job…….I simply detest Lindsey Grahamnesty and I don’t give a damn what he says I don’t believe him.

  1. DeniseVB says:

Rick Santorum reminds me of a funny Greg Gutfeld said about Bernie Sanders going to Liberty U would be like Rick Santorum going to Burning Man.

Opening question about Donald Trump to Jindal ? It’s going to be a loooong night 😉

  2. DeniseVB says:

Gotta admit, these guys at the kids table are seriously serious. Good responses to stupid CNN questions, though sounding overly rehearsed. So the Dems don’t have to “debate” til next month? Will probably look like a trip to Disney compared to this. Sigh.

  3. DeniseVB says:

Why is Jindal at the kids’ table? He’s frilliant. May this be the last debate with a freaking kids table.

  4. 49erDweet says:

Think I’ll go run some errands soon and read about the debates on TCH tomorrow. My patience-and-give-a-crapness is broken right now.

  5. DandyTIger says:

Miss Lindsey is very angry. Love it.

  6. helenk3 says:

later should I sing or hum “Charlie Brown” when trump is asked a question?

  7. helenk3 says:

  8. DeniseVB says:

A little over a month ago I was sitting in an Atlanta hotel ballroom with about 500 debate watchers for the first debate after a 3 hour open bar. It was a rowdy crowd. Kinda like a sports bar only rowdier. Surprised there were no causalties. Since it was the first night I was in Atlanta for Redstate, I didn’t dare drink because I was so tired having left my home that morning at 4am for my 6am flight. What a waste that was, missing out on that 3 hour open bar, but staying awake for the debate, priceless. 😀

  9. piper says:

I want to thank everyone who’s listening to the debates reporting back to us frugal people who want to save their tv sets from the dumpsters. 😈

  10. helenk3 says:

Graham is telling Jindal everything the republicans CAN’T do ,then what CAN they do and why are the collecting salary paid by us?

If I did not do my job, I would have been told to bid out

  11. Myiq2xu says:

    Santorum is stuck on stupid.

  12. Myiq2xu says:

Amazingly, all 15 candidates are outsiders.

  13. Myiq2xu says:

    Rick Santorum’s closing statement:

  14. DeniseVB says:

This is the longest I’ve watched CNN in years. When did ESPN take over CNN ? The chatter is so annoying. Go Carly, Donald and Ben !!!!!

    Jake Tapper sounds like he’s intro’ing a WWE event….

  18. DeniseVB says:

    :Golf Clap: after the intros.

  19. leslie says:

Go Carly, Donald and Ted !!!

  20. DeniseVB says:

This is not much different than Miss America the other night….with less sparkles.

  21. Myiq2xu says:

“Carly, would you like to be the first to attack Donald Trump?”

  22. Somebody says:

Good opening by Crispy Creme. Stupid 1st question to Carly, Trump shouldn’t have attacked Rand Paul and Paul should have risen above the insult then Trump doubles and triples down.

  23. DeniseVB says:

    Pile on Trump ! BOOM!

  24. lyn says:

    Sit down, Krispy Kreme!

  25. DeniseVB says:

Jake is doing good as Ref, waiting for the pile driver he’s setting up for Trump.

I’m @ the Chicago airport headed back to SFO — appreciate the running commentary!!

  28. leslie says:

I am loving Carly — again. It seems CNN has sidelined Cruz – just like the GOPe wants.

    • Somebody says:

Indian casinos and off shore gambling boats

      • lildoggy4u says:

We have casinos everywhere now except hotels. I’m looking forward to one of those.
Every track, horse and dog, no has a casino. We’ve always had horse and dog racing so betting is nothing new.

  29. DeniseVB says:

Loving this debate. Can’t wait for the Dems next month.

  30. Somebody says:

Wow he totally tried to exclude Cruz

  31. DeniseVB says:

Kim Davis. Zzzzzzz. She needs to resign. Waste of time for me.

  32. DeniseVB says:

Cruz….watch those PP videos dammit. Good advice.

  33. Somebody says:

Powerful statement on PP by Carly

  34. DeniseVB says:

Carly on PP videos…. Wow ❤

  35. helenk3 says:

    Carley is impressive.

loved her answer on trumps face comment

  36. Somebody says:

Commercial break. My thoughts so far. The moderators and most on the stage are gunning for Trump and he’s not helping himself by being so petulant. Carly is on fire, Christie has done well but I still don’t like him. Kasich, meh, walker has had some OK moments, Yeb, meh, Huckabee and Paul should just drop out. Cruz has had a couple of good moments, but he and Huckabee have been pretty much shut out as well as Rubio and Carson none of them have had as much time as the others

    • Myiq2xu says:

“Carly, would you like a second chance to bash Trump?”

    • leslie says:

I agree with you on Huckabee and Paul . . . and Trump. Carson has had a little time and I’m not really impressed with his performance thus far. I like Cruz, Christie,. But Carly is running away with this debate.
I think, Carly and Carson were 2 of the people identified in the article I linked to earlier today who were part of the GOPe “Get Trump” plan so Jeb! would be the nominee.

  37. DeniseVB says:

This is from 2008 … Bill Whittle was right, I have a 3 minute attention span 😉

  38. helenk3 says:

maybe it my age (21) but the candidates keep bringing up Reagan, my favorite republican was IKE. that man was impressive. We need a republican like that right now

  39. leslie says:

    I’m in the dungeon….. Please help free me. . . .

  40. mothy67 says:

We have an insecure border? Poor thing.

  41. swanspirit says:

    Christie moment ruh roh..

  42. DeniseVB says:

    The winner of tonight’s debate…Jake Tapper. He’s doing a great job 🙂

Loving Carly, Ben and Trump, wish the other guys had more time, and we’re over 90 minutes into this.

Bottom line: Any one of these guys are better than the Dem field.

  43. helenk3 says:

why is every body but trump given time limits. He has been allowed to interrupt everyone.

  44. NewOrleans says:

Why is Walker so sweaty? Nixon just flashed in my head and that’s not a good thing.

  45. Venus says:

Carly had to fight for every minute of air time she got.

And she won the debate hands down.

  46. DandyTIger says:

Meh. I’d say the three outsiders will continue to rise in the polls. The ones down low will not go up. Everyone did fine it seems. No one was hurt really.

  47. leslie says:

Carly is going to appear on Morning Joe to morrow. I think Carson will be there, too.

    ‘night all.

  48. mothy67 says:

Who is next to drop out?

  49. DandyTIger says:

    Some funny tweets out there.

Reference is because Actress Emily Blunt, new american citizen from UK, said she’d leave the country if a republican wins in ’16. Not sure this debate made that more likely, but odds are, she should start country shopping.

      • Jadzia says:

What a jerk she is. If you don’t want to be an American citizen, here’s a thought: DON’T BECOME AN AMERICAN CITIZEN. She’s married to an American, she can stay as long as she wants. I can’t imagine what, say, my family’s reaction would have been if I had said something like that about France right after getting my citizenship here.

        • Myiq2xu says:

She has recanted and claims it was just a joke. That might have something to do with the fact that she has a new movie coming out in 2 weeks.

  59. Somebody says:

Morning all, I missed the last hour of the debate. I just couldn’t stay awake, I tried but I get up at 4:45 every morning and chase toddlers all day. I recorded it so hopefully I can watch the final hour tonight after the kiddos go home.

I definitely think Fiorina was strong last night, those that had no clue who she was no doubt will pay more attention to her. Her statement on PP was very good, but she also showed she had chops when it came to national security.

I don’t think anyone landed a knock out punch on Trump, but I do think he was rather petulant at times last night. He was being attacked, but he also attacked when not attacked.

Yeb held his own, but he too seemed petulant at times like when he insisted Trump tried to buy him. Maybe Trump did, but to try and portray himself as Saint Yeb only concerned with the people and an outsider, um no. That dog will never hunt.

Out of the rest of the field I’d say Christie is the one that surprised me the most. His opening was good and throughout the debate he kept bringing it back to the people and we need to solve problems not insult each other. I still remember his 2012 speech at Romney’s nomination where every other word was Chris Christie, which was really strange IMO. I guess his handlers told him to tone it down and try to be the adult on the stage. Christie is a blow hard, loud mouth we’ve all seen the various you tubes of him, but he didn’t really show that side last night. I still don’t think he stands a chance and I doubt I’d vote for him in the primary no matter his debate performances……but he was my surprise for the night.

I guess for most people Fiorina was their surprise, but I had no doubt she would perform the way she did so it wasn’t a surprise for me.
