I just realized yesterday was the first day of fall, which means Kmart’s probably putting up their Christmas trees now. Still feels like summer here with some tropical system offshore whipping up some warm winds and showers. I’m so over summer and ready for sweat pants weather😀

CJ is the 13yo President of Teens for Ted who’s been calling out Obama.

    • votermom says:

      And then they baracktracked

      • DeniseVB says:

I so retweeted that ! CJ is a hoot … and fearless. Last I heard he may be speaking at the RNC convention next summer and he’s over the moon about that!

    • NewOrleans says:

If the kid was a Muslim who made a homemade bomb . . . er . . . clock OR tried to murder a cop after robbing a store OR grabbed some skittles before trying to kill a cracker, he’d be invited to the White House or praised far and wide. Instead, because he’s a respectful, intelligent kid – not at all like someone who anyone would ever expect to be the son of Obama – he gets blocked. Then called a liar!

      • DeniseVB says:

If he were white, he’d be called a racist. CJ went after BLM calling them out on their crazy stuff then they piled on him as a white man’s puppet. Then came a threat to him and his family which caught the attention thousands of his twitter fans, great fun !

    • leslie says:

This is so middle school. They (WH/POTUS) are afraid of this young man. And well they should be.

    • piper says:

Good for you CJ – you’re a role model that should be recognized by the WH and Bronco for speaking the truth.

Denise what a lovely and serene image, wish I was there right now.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday……what is best about today is that tomorrow is Friday, thank heavens!! I’ve had a rough week. Yesterday was the day from hell, a vat of calgon wouldn’t have helped.

    • leslie says:

Somebody, You just reminded me that every Thursday I’d go into work and welcome everyone with “Happy Friday-eve”. It brought a smile each time. 😉

Good award for Somebody. Those grandbabies will never forget. And they will love you all the more for what you are doing for them – for the rest of their lives.

I suppose so, but darn one teething and one in their terrible two’s sucks.

Oh well I guess it really was time to re-decorate my guest room. Who knows maybe the 2 year old did me a favor after all. At least it means I’ll get out and about this weekend shopping………how’s that for trying to find a silver lining, LOL!

          • leslie says:

            Well, that’s something !😉
Our first g-baby did not go through “terrible twos” or through the saying “no” stages. We were blessed. This second g-baby is all about “no” and “mine” stages all while cutting her incisors. Good times. I tell myself it’s only 2 or 3 days-a-week so I don’t get too bogged down in thoughts about “revenge when she grows up”. lol
*I also remind myself that this is a time when I get to connect with her and I don’t have the time constraints you have.

I was watching my 5+++ yo gd watch TV this afternoon and thinkin’ what a show she puts on. She’s eyes glued to the screen, on her back on the couch, legs a twirlin’ and a crossin’ continuously whilst engrossed in a My Little Pony repeat she’s already seen six zillion times. Never still, always in motion, never misses a word. She’s a riot. Wouldn’t miss these times for anything!

      • piper says:

Somebody, this is your award which you have earned unlike a certain bronco.

        • Somebody says:

Haha, I was wondering about the Nobel thing, it’s meaning has been cheapened much like everything else associated with Obama.

    • helenk3 says:

know the feeling my youngest two kids are two years and two days apart. I swore they stayed up at night and plotted on how to make me crazy.
I had a week where every day they did something to drive me nuts. By Friday I was not in a good place and they poured talic powder all over my living room furniture. My husband called me and made the mistake of asking what i was doing while they did that. DId you ever see a real crazy lady? I threatened to put them in a cab and send them to the bar where he worked and call him in two hours to ask him what was he doing while they wrecked the place. He changed his tune real fast.

  8. Dora says:

  11. leslie says:

Denise, Thank you for the beautiful image at top. I am so looking forward to fall. I do every year, but this one, most of all. I saved this image just so I could envision the day when it actually looks like this.

    • Somebody says:

If you add Trump, Carson, Cruz, Paul and Fiorina you get 62% that don’t want a GOPe candidate.

However if push came to shove where would Carson, Cruz, Paul and Fiorina’s voters wind up??? Align with Trump or Jeb? Many of them, especially Carson and Fiorina’s voters are also anti-Trump……so are they more anti-GOPe or more anti-Trump???

If those 4 stay in through the early primaries, but don’t gain more ground; to whom will they give their delegates to when they drop out? I’m betting Cruz and maybe Paul would go for Trump. I think Fiorina would trade hers to Jeb for a cabinet position or maybe a VP slot, but I don’t think Jeb has her in mind for VP. I have no idea about Carson, he seems like an outsider, but apparently he chatted W up after 9-11 so was he a frequent dinner guest or something??? I’d like to hear more about his chats with W.

If Carson pledged his delegates to Trump that would be 50% based on the above polling numbers. That would throw the nomination to Jeb because of how the rules were changed. I assure you Jeb will get the super delegates, they’re not called super delegates but that’s what they are…….advantage Yeb!

Trump needs to pick up about another 10% to be a serious threat to the GOPe. I wonder how he’s polling with seniors? I’m betting not well, since the only people I know that are for Jeb!, Rubio or one of the other GOPe candidates are seniors.

BTW, I know 1539 thinks Rubio will get the VP nod from Jeb, my money is on Kasich. Rubio doesn’t help with electoral votes and Yeb! has pandered so much to the Hispanic vote I seriously doubt he needs Rubio on the ticket. However the road to the WH goes through Ohio and that’s where Kasich will come into play. Marco is the back up plan and he’s convenient to split the vote and help ensure a Yeb! victory in delegate rich, winner take all FL. Rubio will drop out some time after the FL primary and become a good little solider for his mentor Jeb. He will be rewarded accordingly.

      • leslie says:

Somebody, Fiorina and Carson will give their delegates to Yeb! That’s the way the GOPe designed it. They’re in it to take out Trump. The following is from a link I posted x2. It makes me mad every time I think of it.

… “The pathway the RNC/GOPe constructed to elect Jeb Bush specifically was designed to eliminate/defeat Ted Cruz.

The GOPe road-map was specifically created to block Ted Cruz, or anyone like Ted Cruz, from achieving victory.

Team Jeb is: Rubio, Fiorina, Christie, Huckabee, Kasich, Perry, Graham, Pataki and Gilmore. (10 establishment candidates all part of the RNC/GOPe machine) We have outlined it all HERE.

If, for the sake of intellectual exercise, you remove Donald Trump from the race and apportion his supporters in a reasonable manner, what you will find is that the GOPe road map kicks back into play – and no non-jeb is able to pull enough support to defeat Jeb.

Remove Trump and Ben Carson becomes Herman Cain 2012; Cruz becomes Gingrich, Jeb replaces Romney and the 2016 outcome becomes 2012 ground-hog day. Just as designed.

Here’s the kicker…. As previously mentioned, Ted Cruz is a smart guy, and therefore Ted Cruz also is aware of this.”

  15. AFVet says:

We all at this point know that the POTUS is a bully.
He says if PP is not funded, he will veto the bill resulting in a government shutdown.
He made the same threat when Obamacare was on the table.
The House and the Senate are filled with Obama’s stooges.
Stooges that have quit listening to their constituents and exist to please Obama.

In 2010 the House gained a majority of Reps.
In 2014 the Senate gained a majority of reps, all who promised to stop Obama’s policies.

Well,….we have seen very little change due to the fact that they are afraid of shutting down the government, and now Obama is again raising hell about a government shutdown if he doesn’t get his way.

McConnell and Boehner have both proven to be weak in the face of any opposition from the White House.

Defund PP and let Obama shutdown the government.
He will blame it on the republicans,….so be it.

Isn’t it about time that Obama took the blame for something ?

    • helenk3 says:

I wish the worm like republicans would get a real ” BRING IT ON” attitude and some spine.
The country made it through the last democratic caused government shutdown, we can do again and even better this time as we have experience

    • Somebody says:

It’s all Kabuki theater from our uni-party. The GOP establishment doesn’t want to defund PP any more than the dems do. Their paymasters have spoken and it will be thus. Sure new people were elected and “control” of both houses switched sides, but the same deep pockets are still in control. If the paymasters told Obama NOT to veto the bill he wouldn’t.

We need to clean house in DC……to borrow from Pelosi, drain the swamp and she’s one of the vermin that needs to be sent packing. Actually I’m being unfair; Pelosi is probably some kind of reptile in the swamp that is DC.

      • Somebody says:

Boehner is clearly the resident opossum to, he’s really good at playing dead.

      • piper says:

I’m sure that Pelosi will do well in the swamps of San Francisco while drinking the wine from her vineyards harvested by undocumented workers who just happened to wonder far from their home. Road signs can be so confusing.

    • DeniseVB says:

I’ve wondered the same thing …. seems that Obama threatening a veto automatically lets the bill die in the house or senate. Let him veto it ! Then fine, we can blame him for a change. I don’t get our GOPe leadership at all, such wussies.

My non-essential friends in government are already looking forward to their paid 3 week vacation. We save nothing.

I need a bit of assistance here. In the past 3 days I received 3 different emails alerting me that someone – has attempted to charge 2 of the accounts a specific (and the same) amount of money.
I do not have accounts with 2 of the financial institutions. I do with the third.
How do I know where to look to confirm information?
Has anyone else received this type of email?
(They were all in my spam folder – which I don’t check all the time)
    THANKS for any help…

    • DandyTIger says:

All scams. You can tell because you’ll get them about most all financial institutions. When you finally get one where you do have money, don’t take the bait.

    • DandyTIger says:

General rule: ignore all calls and emails about your finances, taxes, etc. Do check periodically with your bank directly (online, etc.) via official channels (not those found in emails, etc.). If you hear or see some warning when you initiated the check, then you can follow up in person or over the phone via official channels. Never, ever click on links in email. Ever.

    • DandyTIger says:

If you get a call from what looks like your bank, don’t answer, or hang up if you do. Call your bank if you think it could be real, and ask if there are any issues with your account. You need to initiate via official channels.

    • votermom says:

      What DT said.
Never click on an email link to get to your bank. Always open a new browser window, type in your banks official url and log in that way. Same for credit card companies, etc

    • AFVet says:

      I agree with Tiger.
Unless the e-mail comes from your bank, delete it, especially if it appears in your Spam.

I have been getting calls on the phone that my computer is being attacked,….from a guy that has a very heavy Indian accent.
I tell him that the PC is turned off and he tells me that I have to turn it on so that he “can help me”.

      • helenk3 says:

I got one yesterday from a guy with an indian accent said he was from some tech company then when I said I had dish he claimed he was from dish. wanted to give me a new updated TV box. I have only had dish for about a month. he want some numbers including my pin number. I would not give them to him. I notified dish and told them about it and that I could hear people in the background calling other people with the same story. Dish told me they had no knowledge of the upgrade and would look into the scam.

        • AFVet says:

          Well done Helen.
I am using DSL to link to the internet which runs a firewall, I am running a firewall on this computer plus virus protection.
Anyone that wants me to turn the computer on so that they can scan my drive is suspect.
I just hang up on them, or start asking them questions until they hang up on me.
          Depends on my mood. 🙂

        • AFVet says:

          BTW, we have Dish also.
Seems to be a trend developing here.

      • piper says:

I tell them that I don’t own a computer or cell phone, they sputter for a second then hang up.

    • leslie says:

Thank you, Dandy and vm. I spent the last couple of minutes looking up ways to check, but knew I could count on you. A good friend of mine received several of these “alerts and inquiries” and then a phone call shortly after she retired (about the same length of time afterward, in fact). she ended up needing to contact the State Atty after she provided her info. I just kept thinking of all the trouble she went through and didn’t even respond to these.
I really appreciate your help because it was pretty alarming.

      • leslie says:

Thanks everyone !!! Obviously I sent out my response while Helen and AFVet were kind enough to reply.

        • votermom says:

There was also this scam recently whete someone would call claiming to be from the Revenue Office and say you owe taxes/bills and if you don’t pay asap the sheriff would arrest you. They sometimes already had your SS number. Indian scam.

          • Somebody says:

There is some kind of scam involving home alarm systems. They call and say they are from GE calling about a bug in the alarm system. My alarm isn’t made by GE, so I told the woman A) learn to speak better English if you’re going to scam people, B) to go fuck herself.

Just in case anybody actually has a GE system, don’t fall for the scam.

      • DeniseVB says:

We recently got a call from the IRS saying we were being sued ? Needed to call them back ASAP to avoid going to jail. I knew immediately is was a scam because we pay a tax guy willing to go to jail for us if our taxes get screwed up.🙂 Also for charitable contributions he requires we have a receipt and if it’s for bags of clothes, the original purchase receipt for each item. It’s to avoid those pesky “red flags”. We called him anyhow… be sure. He assured us it’s a scam, a very common one that scares the bejesus out of people.

We get a lot of scam spam, I’m getting pretty immuned to their very creative new tactics. Lots of good advice here, TCHers are the best😀

It actually stopped the calls for about a year or so.

    • insanelysane says:

Someone was able to get Capitol One to change my email address on my online account. They then changed the password and went into my account and transferred all my air miles ( over 200,000). Fortunately, I did get an email from Cap One asking if I just change my email and password.
So, as DT says, I called the customer service # on back of card. They set me up with a free fraud alert and will soon reimburse me for all air miles stolen.
I just wonder what else these smart thieves can do with whatever info they had on me to initiate this to begin with.

I never respond to any phone or online solicitations.

      • leslie says:

That sounds really evil. You were fortunate that they didn’t charge 200,000 dollars on your card. Glad you were able to get Capitol One to act on it. Hope every mile is returned. Do you think they can actually apprehend people who do this when they use stolen miles?

One time I had my wallet stolen and didn’t realize it for about an hour. In that time the thieves charged $2ooo+ worth of liquor and party goods at one store and several hundreds of $$ at another for food and snacks with my debit card. Fortunately, I reported it as soon as I realized the wallet and debit card were gone. The bank was great. The biggest problem I had was with the Chicago PD. First they said I had to report the theft in person and at the nearest Chicago precinct. Then they bullied me – because I drove to the PD without my license (it was stolen) and I couldn’t give them the precise time and location of the theft.
        good times.

    • Jeffhas says:

Fox likes his ratings but they are in DEEP for Yeb!…. Ailes is king-sh*t GOPe remember… Trump is smart to go after them, their brightest stars, etc… Whenever he appears on a competitors channel, FOX loses eyes – Trump should even promote where/when he’ll be and track the ratings of cable news channels and feed the results to show what damage he is causing (assuming he is). What he’s doing is calling out FOX for their Yeb! love – and I’m sure they hide behind ‘analysts like Rich Lowry’, but FOX could get other analysts if they wanted to present a Pro-Trump AND Anti-Trump balance… If they wanted to….

Trump is playing chess all the time….

      • 1539days says:

Trump said you have to be willing to walk away. If Ailes isn’t, Trump has the upper hand. Frankly, if he’s not on Fox, most people won’t see him at all.

Jeffhas – he is already doing that. This morning he sent out a tweet announcing that he would be appearing on Morning Joe at 6:30 AM on MSNBC and at 7:00 AM he would be on CNN. I haven’t heard anything yet about the ratings for those shows, but it was after that time that Ailes called for a meeting.
