We had nice rain showers last week, then fall for three days and now summer has returned. Got out the long pants too soon.

This is like a daily thing now?
      Thinking we should ban schools…

      • elliesmom says:

Absolutely! It’s all the fault of schools. If we didn’t bring all of the kids together in one place, we wouldn’t have these mass shootings. Because it’s obviously not the responsibility of the person doing the killing. Better yet, let’s ban kids altogether. The kids are a temptation for people to shoot them. I mean, if we didn’t have kids at all, there wouldn’t be any kids to shoot.

Anything Goes is my 16 year olds favorite! Both of my daughters are big Broadway fans. I hope one day we can actually go to Broadway instead of seeing them here. Off Broadway is OK and in some cases the Broadway leads stay with the show, such was the case with Book of Mormon. However, I’m sure there is no way it can compare to seeing a show in NYC. We’re lucky in that my son works for the college that sponsors the Broadway shows here, he usually gets 50% or more off a limited number of tickets. He has no interest in them so we scoop them up!

    • Dora says:

That’s what I loved about working in NYC. Every few weeks or so, my friends and I would treat ourselves to dinner and a Broadway show. We saw the best of the best. I think Fiddler was my favorite, after which I would choose Evita. I actually enjoyed most of what I saw.

      Those were the days. Sigh.

My nephew does college and off-off-off-Broadway shows, mostly centered around SoCal.

Between this and talk of a UN based domestic security force to replace local and state police, you couldn’t possibly make a better case for an unencumbered 2nd amendment.

Though funnily I’m not sure his background check expansion is actually any different than current law. More hot air to his base, but likely nothing really done. So it sounds like yet another effort to further dividing America. Pretty much Obama’s only accomplishment throughout his presidency.

The original Happy Feet🙂 I really enjoyed that.

I guess I’m showing my age, but do you remember Dorothy Dandridge? She was married to one of the brothers and performed with them in this film. I love it! 🙂

Reminds me of the shock waves that happened as a result of the statement Scott Brown made, when he reminded the country “Well, with all due respect, it’s not the Kennedys’ seat, and it’s not the Democrats’ seat, it’s the people’s seat…” This ingrained mindset of entitlement in Congress is what is being upended; and it should be.

I think that is why The Donald is so popular; people hope he will fire the lot of them!

DJT doesn’t seem like a super partisan, does he? Being a businessman having to deal with both parties (and yes, donating too) he scares the hell out of both sides. He knows how the system works. Especially the current gov. “use it or lose it” budgeting policy cranking up the debt.

          • Underwhelmed says:

They don’t get that once elected the president is honour bound to serve all the people, all the time. Which means he must ignore partisanship and take from the best wherever he can find it, in order to get the best results for the country. Only a successful businessman can understand this, apparently. Partisan politicians are either too stupid, or too dishonest – because they get it, but know it’s not in their best interests.

          Yup!!!!! 😀

You know what’s funny? Remember when Obama ran as a Washington D.C. outsider who would change the way things were done inside the beltway? And now Obama and Co. turn out to be the worst of the worst.
I just wish it wasn’t so difficult to laugh about it.

I also remember that the people here predicted this outcome, and were called all kinds of nastiness.

backtrack has just matched carter’s record for number of days an American has been held in Iran.

WATCH: Fox Sports Uses Trump to Hype U.S. vs. Mexico Soccer Match

How do you get soccer fans excited to watch this weekend’s big soccer match between the U.S. and Mexico? If you’re Fox Sports, you apparently enlist the voice and words of Donald Trump.

I didn’t know Jim Webb would be debating. Great! It might not be so boring after all. 🙂

Wildcard candidates with nothing to lose could shake up Democratic debate
