Chinese investment company to buy oil fields in Texas for $1.3 billion

    • Falstaff says:

Meh. If the Chinese want to pour money into oil fields that are long past their peak production, they’re welcome to do so.

      • leslie says:

I wonder if, by purchasing oil fields in Texas, their presence may gain a certain “respectability and acceptance” by Big Business and therefor give them a greater voice in the country. And I’m wondering this because certainly they must know that the oil fields there have gone past their peak. So what else must be in it for them?

If you look carefully you can literally see a San Diego player get faked out of his jock.

the government must have learned some tricks from the mafia. during their heyday didn’t they force business to have “no-show” jobs for their friends?

Vlad sings Fats. Russian President Vladimir Putin slays audience with his rendition of the Fats Domino classic โ€œBlueberry Hill”

    • helenk3 says:

I was just thinking , how did I get to the point that I admire a Russian president so much more than an American president?
this man was KGB, and i was taught the evil of communism. Nothing good about it.
I watch Putin and backtrack and Putin wins hands down. He loves his country, He is willing to fight for his country and he enjoys life.
backtrack hates American, would fight against it before he would fight for it, and is too busy playing victim to enjoy life.

How the Hell did it get to this?

      • helenk3 says:

backtrack does not want anyone else to enjoy life either

      • DeniseVB says:

Putin’s a much stronger leader who can make decisions that benefit his country, not some one else’s. Gotta admire a guy who plays ice hockey with a pro team that let’s him score 7 goals on his 63rd birthday. I’ve always liked the pootie man’s personality, seems to have a zest for life compared to the grouches we have now. ๐Ÿ˜€

I’ve never seen an Obama (Bush or Clinton) touch an octupus unless it was served to them ๐Ÿ˜‰

Not to be outdone by anyone else, there’s Marco Rubio. His position is that the office of Senator is beneath him. (to paraphrase a comment on Ace: Why do nothing in the Senate when I can do nothing in the White House and get paid even more?)

    • helenk3 says:

Marco Rubio never really appealed to me. Did not consider voting for him. He keeps using his life story , which is not that different from millions of others. Can not give you a good reason but just not my cup of tea.

    • DeniseVB says:

I like Rubio but he should run for FL gov in 2018 to get some exec. experience. He’s so young. If he’s going to whine about the Senate, he should probably run with Webb on a Unity Ticket.

Hmmmm? Blaming mental illness caused that lady to crash her car into that OSU crowd? Blacked out from an episode of something or other, because she has no memory of the event? I sure hope those investigators have her cell phone and computer right now. Or that’s one damn good defense attorney. Caught a bit of him on the news and he sorta reminded me of Johnny Cochran.

  10. leslie says:

Regardless of her mental health, there are people dead and many more left to struggle with the damage she did. It is possible for psychiatric illness to strike after 25 years of stability. It is also possible that signs of illness may have been present for many years but were not recognized as such. Only careful assessment can tell what has happened in this case. I wouldn’t make any judgment about this woman without intensive interviews.
This is such a sad, tragic story for all.

    • DeniseVB says:

She was living with her boyfriend, then we’re told she was crying when she left work early, could have been a psychotic blind ragey incident if boyfriend broke up or cheated on her? Yeah, we need more info like from cell or computer timelines. We sometimes forget that a car can be used as a deadly weapon too ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

      • leslie says:

You are so right about sometimes being unaware that a car can be used as a weapon.
It also could have been a blind, tearful ragey incident in which she was unaware of her immediate surroundings or what she was doing, but only focused on something that had recently occurred. And psychosis may not even have been present. Being out of touch with the present moment happens to many people who get caught up in their thoughts or feelings. (Please don’t think I am making excuses for her. I am not.)

Not every flower can say love, but a rose can. Not every plant survives a thirst, but a cactus can. Not every retard can read, but look at you go, little buddy! Today, you should take a moment and send an encouraging message to a fucked up friend, just as I have done. I don’t care if you lick windows, or screw farm animals. You hang in there cup cake, because you’re fucking special to me, and you’re my friend. Look at you smiling at your phone, you crayon eating Motherfucker! Lol!
