We’ve been moved in about 10 days. I’ve spent half of them either helping my daughter get the old house ready to move into or taking care of the grandkids so I’m still living with a lot of boxes. But I’ve found all of the essentials, took some time to do a little antique shopping and found a replacement for the china cabinet that was too tall for the new house, and called this place “home” for the first time. Today I fell asleep anytime I sat down, but the three of us took a walk down to the open area at the beach to watch the sun set over the pond. Today was the earliest sunset of the year. Elliesdad is feeling a lot more independent now that stairs aren’t a hardship. And Ellie, well Ellie is about as happy as a dog can get. Maxine is settling into life with a 4 year old in her house. One of these days she might just jump into my car. 😉

Take your time, enjoy those special moments, and relish in those new memories that you are making. It sounds like watching the sunset was a great start! Congratulations on your new home.

Oh, and I can picture Ellie running, stopping to smell all those critter smells, with her tail wagging. I smile.

Have you guys had snow yet? Nice you can get all settled before you have to really hunker down for the winter when you’ll have plenty of time for those boxes 😉

      • elliesmom says:

No snow yet. It was in the high 50’s, low 60’s here yesterday. I haven’t worn more than a fleece jacket or vest yet this year. The first snow is a bit late. No weather cold enough in the next ten day forecast.

The party thinks it’s found a way to destroy Trump – a brokered convention. They are going to steal all the delegates he has won in the primaries and give them to the candidate of their choice. You can just about guess how angry this makes me. Not just me, of course. Trump has millions of supporters out there who are going to be very displeased. Why bother having primaries? What ever happened to ‘we the people’? Yikes!

    GOP preparing for contested convention

    • votermom says:

Trump voters should show up at the convention en masse. Like a rally. Completely surround RINOS. Chant build that wall.
      Cowards would cave.

Sounds good to me. Actually, I don’t know what they will do, but they will do something. His supporters don’t even call this a campaign, but rather a movement. Considering the level of excitement the Trump Movement has reached, I am sure they are not all going to say “Ah Shucks” when the nomination is stolen from them and go home. No way. There is anger out there!

While I don’t doubt the Republican inner circle would like to find a way to dump Trump, preparing for a brokered convention is something both parties do in preparation for the convention this far out. It’s called having a Plan B just in case. While the number of candidates still in the race makes the possibility greater for the Repubs, even the Democrats will have a plan in place. It’s just fun for the media to talk/write about it this time and get everyone riled up. If any of the Republican candidates fall short of the number of delegates to win on the first ballot, the integrity of the convention delegates will be all that matters. We saw in 2008 how much integrity the Democratic delegates had. They folded pretty quickly. Personally, I think if Trump knows he’s short before the convention, he’ll cut a deal with one of the other candidates because negotiation is what he does best.

It looks like the EO is coming soon. I predict that all Hell will break loose!

Today Valerie Jarrett herself confirmed an earlier D.C. Whispers report regarding the Obama White House’s pending (but at the time still secret) Executive Order gun control plan.
