The Day After Christmas And All Through the House!

And counting down to New Year’s Eve. Will you be doing Anderson and Kathy on CNN or Trump on Fox? Or,like me, be in bed by 10😉

One more, having too much fun scrolling through “history”…..

  4. Somebody says:

You said Trump on Fox, is he hosting or a guest or something?? I don’t turn my TV on very often and if I do it’s usually kid shows.

Denise I read in the last thread about your daughter (((hugs))). If you get a chance check out some recent studies involving DHEA and addiction, they look quite promising.

Today is that magical day when millions of Americans take the gifts they got and exchange them for stuff they want.

Fro me it’s the day I get to eat all of the stuff I was too busy or tired to eat yesterday. It started with fresh pineapple tart for breakfast. I’ve moved onto sampling some the cheeses I put out for before dinner.

^This^ and then getting ready to go to my brother’s house for the *other* family Christmas.
This is where I anticipate some blood curdling political diatribes to be thrown my way by a nephew that I adore. I really do. Maybe he’ll have changed his political POV by now, but I doubt it.
Fun times. (Yet I wouldn’t miss being with my family for anything). 😉

Nessun Dorma = No one sleeps

    The plot thickens:

“It’s not as if we conjured this guy Josh from thin air. This is an individual … who was recommended to us by the DNC and NGP VAN,” the adviser said.

According to the adviser, one of the references that Uretsky gave when he applied to work with the campaign was the DNC’s National Data Director Andrew Brown, who works closely with the shared voter file program.

For New Years Eve I’m thinking I might go down to one of the Indian Reservation Casinos and play BINGO all evening (PC directive….Native Americans generally don’t care if you use the term “Indian Reservation” so long as you come and blow all your money). It’s only a $60 buy in and you get dinner plus bigger than usual prizes. Woo Hoo! I haven’t played a real game of BINGO in 35 years.
I’m also thinking I’m getting to the age where I might consider a mini motor home so I can come out of my BINGO parlor exhausted at 10:30pm, crash in my rolling crash pad for awhile, spontaneously wake up at 3:00 am and then drive myself home since I’ll be wide awake.

if they would only get the guts to call out the terrorist for what they do in the name of islam maybe they would be worth listening to. Until then not so much

There’s been another CPD/AA shooting in Chicago. A woman and a teenager in the same house were shot by CPD. Doesn’t sound good. The daughter is hysterical (and who wouldn’t be?) and charging the CPD with wrongful killings. I’m certain there will be more later.
After all the protests in the Loop and on the Mag Mile – where there is little going on except tourists spending their money in the city – the shooting was in one of the neighborhoods, like almost always. 😦

    • DeniseVB says:

Morale must be at an all time low for LEO’s in the big cities, especially with BLM sympathizers as Mayors (Rahm, Bill DiB). They’re going to start losing their finest and replace them with corrupt cops on the take. Of course, the media always finds the sobbing relatives which showboat for a settlement. Is there a news link to the shooting? I’ve noticed several black on white homicides on my news feeds not going mainstream. 😦

I think Iowahawk got blocked by the White House for this amazing comment ….

  16. piper says:

I just read about your daughter in the last thread. Sorry to hear about her relapse – my advice which is really worth nothing – is to simply be there that you support her and care about her but only she can heal herself. Sending virtual hugs and healing thoughts to both you and her

Today is boxing day, when the lord of the manor would get around to giving the staff gifts. In Obama’s case, his traveling staff are sitting in hotel rooms for their Christmas while he’s on a golf vacation. George W. Bush used to have Christmas in DC so his staff could celebrate Christmas with their families.

    • DeniseVB says:

Most Presidents spent Christmas at the White House or Camp David and left the day after for their holiday destinations.

What’s really b.s. is that the Obamas’ Hawaiian vacation “tradition” started only after he was elected. They could have started the tradition in Florida for heaven’s sake, would have saved us a ton of money.

We already know where Trump will spend his winter holidays ….😉

Curse me but when I think of Trump

When, in disgrace with fortune and men’s eyes,
I all alone beweep my outcast state,
And trouble deaf heaven with my bootless cries,
And look upon myself and curse my fate,
Wishing me like to one more rich in hope,
Featured like him, like him with friends possessed,
Desiring this man’s art and that man’s scope,
    With what I most enjoy contented least;
Yet in these thoughts myself almost despising,
Haply I think on thee, and then my state,
(Like to the lark at break of day arising
    From sullen earth) sings hymns at heaven’s gate;
For thy sweet love remembered such wealth brings
That then I scorn to change my state with kings.

Latest on the storm. Plano escaped major damage, but not all of Texas was so fortunate. 😦

I’m about 45 miles west and north from where the tornados and deaths occurred. Several cousins live much closer to the worst hit areas. The intersecting highways here have ramps that are very elevated. It sounds like cars were lifted off of one road and dropped back down on the road below.

When I went to the grocery store last night about the time the tornado hit Garland, the sky to the east was really lit up from all the flashes of lightening. We are receiving alerts about flash flooding.

The houses here have no basements like we are used to in Ohio and Virginia. Makes you feel like a sitting duck with no where to hide when the tornado sirens go off.
