I really haven’t been following this story all that closely. Is there any meat to these allegations or are they just salacious headlines?

    • DeniseVB says:

I think Cruz made a rookie mistake, he should have ignored it, or just call it garbage like Katrina Pierson did and move on. It’s the NE. What’s damning now is that the history of Ted and Heidi being very ambitious in their respective careers and did anything to climb their ladders. It did mean a lot of separation and long distancing, Heidi had a breakdown or something, yada, yada, yada, so people are wondering now…well, it could be true ….. it’s putting him dangerously close to the Tom Eagleton campaign meltdown (McGovern’s first VP pick) in ’72.

    • Somebody says:

I just broke down and actually bought the NE so I could read the article for myself. It sounds to me like an attempt to kill two birds with one stone.

“Republican Presidential candidate Ted Cruz is the target of a vicious “dirty tricks” campaign!”

“Political operatives are compiling an explosive “dirt file” on the finger-wagging, conservative senator from Texas, the National Enquirer has learned.”

“They’re outrageous claims, but private investigators are digging into at least five affairs Ted Cruz supposedly had! The leaked details are an attempt to destroy what’s left of his White House campaign!” a political snitch told the Enquirer (the previous is a supposed quote from the unknown source…..hard to quote, quotes in an article you’re quoting)

Asked about Ted’s cheating rumors, top political consultant Roger Stone — a former aide to Donald Trump — told The Enquirer “These stories have been swirling around Cruz for some time. I believe where there is smoke there is fire. I have to believe this will hurt him with his evangelical supporters.

Then it goes on from there and mentions the political insider website, four days later radar online, both saying there was a Cruz sex scandal brewing. It then talks about the threats made by Anonymous to expose Cruz visiting prostitutes and his dirty little secrets.

Beyond that it details the women, this one worked on his campaign, this one was a tea party activist, this one is a pretty 30ish DC attorney, this one was a school teacher, this one is a $1,000 a night hooker.

If you ask me there is no there, there and I can see why Cruz would think Trump was behind this, but what benefit would it be to Trump now?? Cruz isn’t a real threat beyond WI, he can’t compete in NY……no matter what he says, he’s not doing well in any of the mid-Atlantic states either so why now?? If you look at it from Trump’s point of view this would have been a better bombshell weeks ago. Hurt Cruz with evangelicals…..I don’t think there is a large contingent of evangelicals in NY???

      • Myiq2xu™ says:

If it was me running the NE and I had the goods on Ted Cruz but I wanted to leverage the story for maximum impact/profits, I’d hold beck my best cards when I first ran the story. Let him deny it. Get everybody’s attention.

Then play another card or two.

If you have a sex tape, save it for last.

If you put everything in one issue you get a one-week spike in sales. Spread it out a little. Make more money. Let the target dangle on the hook for weeks.

    • I have no idea if there is meat. What I do know is that NE learned a powerful lesson after Carol Burnett sued them, and that they had the goods on John Edwards.

It is just awesome. (Never heard of Outkick before or Clay Travis but may follow after this.) Is he always this hilarious? Do his kids always get involved in his show ? They are adorable.
Thanks for linking. This made my morning.

CUBAN MISTRESS CRISIS=> Anonymous Claims They HAVE PROOF of Cruz Affairs – Rumors Did Not Start with Donald Trump

But these rumors did not start with Donald Trump.

The Anonymous hacker group warned Ted Cruz last week to leave the race “or else.”

    • dm says:

Weren’t they just threatening Trump last week? Wait, don’t tell me…they must be Feeling the Bern.

  6. 1539days says:

Ted is more manly than Trump because of his affairs.

  7. lyn says:

After a National Enquirer story claiming Ted Cruz had multiple affairs outside of his marriage, the Cruz camp was quick to blame Donald Trump. Reports now say that it was a Marco Rubio supporter who peddled the story.

  8. Dora says:

  9. jennifer lyn says:

We have officially entered the S..t zone–holy s..t. And Bernie is going to sue the DNC. Have we been slipped some crack without knowing it or is this all really happening. Ted did it. Just like Trump is going to win. Bet on it.

  10. Dora says:

    It’s getting weirder and weirder.

  11. So this happened. My husband thinks it’s #RandomShit. I think it’s #Staged

Got a “like” just for the Irony pic. LOL

  16. helenk3 says:

got this on facebook and had to share it

  17. Venus says:

    For anyone keeping score:

Ted Cruz’s campaign manager is the person who bought the Melania GQ photo shoot pics (and the rights to use them). Liz Mair uses a picture from that shoot in her “Melania is a whore unworthy of being the 1st lady so vote for Cruz” ad targeted toward Mormons in Utah. But Cruz *had nothing* to do with it.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump happens to know the guy who owns the National Enquirer. So therefore, according to the Cruz peeps, is 100% responsible for this “pack of lies.”

There’s a lot of there, there — especially with one of the alleged mistresses (and Carly campaign manager receiving $500,000 from a Cruz PAC for Carly’s campaign.

  18. Venus says:

Amanda Carpenter — the one who got matching temporary tattoos with Cruz — has lawyered up.

Take that however you will — I know what I think about that.

A guy on Twitter pointed out that 2 of the alleged mistresses are in the media — media covers for its own, which is why MSM doesn’t want to cover story.
Plus, the MSM hates Trump and doesn’t want to take down Cruz as there is still a chance Cruz could stop Trump from getting 1237 delegates.

  19. 49erDweet says:

OT. Fun game. My honey, who’s in the hospital under heavy pain medication, has her phone – a twin to mine. She sleeps periodically but the alarms on her machines go off enough so that it wakes her, so she scrolls thru her screens…..loopy… Guess who just got four phone calls from his honey on three phones? At OO12 dark ayem. With no one there? Tomorrow I’ll program in a quiet hour on her phone while she naps.

    • 49erDweet says:

Memo to self. Do not give working phones to heavily medicated patients who imagine every voice they hear is a loved one being checked into the next room with severe injuries but whose family, who are with him, refuse to step next door and explain to you what happened. ESPECIALLY when it was someone else, not them, and all the others were doing was major cleaning the room between patients.

    • Myiq2xu™ says:

How is she/what is wrong? Don’t leave us hanging, give up the deets.

      • 49erDweet says:

Kept up on FB but too busy to do much here. My honey had a 6.5 hour multi-specialty spinal reconstruction surgery done Tue, with one vertebrae shaved away and four rods installed along her spine. She is now almost an inch taller. Pain and lack of mobility is intense. Meds are strong and right now she’s higher than a kite. Hears voices and thinks they’re people she knows, then makes up conversations, panics. Just got off phone with nurses station. Theyll give something to knock her out. She won’t remember any of this.

        • Myiq2xu™ says:

Holy shit. You must be a nervous wreck. How long will her recovery last?

          • 49erDweet says:

Probably another week in an acute rehab unit and then home. Full rehab will probably take about 3 months but she’ll be home and that’s what counts. I miss her so whatever we have to do.

        • swanspirit says:

Sending lots of healing, and freedom from pain, to your honey, and comfort and HUGS to you! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌺🌺🌻🌻🌹🌹🌹🌈

        • leslie says:

49er I’ll keep you both in my thoughts.
She must have been in serious discomfort (aka pain) even before the procedure. I hope that once the pain and rehab are over, she has a lifetime of peace and freedom from pain. After my father had major surgery, he was delusional and hallucinated a great deal. Thankfully the nurses were familiar with that reaction and normalized it to the family. It sounds like your honey – and you – are in good hands. Hope you both get some rest.

          • 49erDweet says:

She’s lived a lifetime in pain with back and just put up with it, but in the past year her feet were added to the mix and we couldn’t go on. This procedure took almost 6 months of planning.

          • leslie says:

I understand about when the feet “get into the mix” all too well. I’ll be so interested to hear how she is doing. Please keep us posted. Otherwise I’ll have to ask questions and I will appear to be nosy. All my best wishes for a good recovery and a pain free life from here on out. ❤

        • votermom says:

          Praying for her speedy recovery!!!

        • votermom says:

I’m guessing the pain meds they gave her are not a good match for her hence the auditory hallucinations.
I will pray to Padre Pio. He likes to help people in hospitals.

        • lyn says:

Hoping and praying for your sweetie’s full and speedy recovery, 49er. Hope you are getting rest.

          • Somebody says:

49er, I hope your wife makes a swift and complete recovery. (((Hugs))) to you, I know you have a lot on your plate right now.

I agree with VM about the pain meds maybe not being a good match. There are so many options, perhaps you could discuss other possibilities with her medical team.
