      It’s only a partial egg.

      • swanspirit says:

        Yeah, they cheated.

      • AFVet says:

Speaking of partial eggs, do you know how to determine whether an egg is hard boiled or raw without cracking it ?

        • elliesmom says:

A hard boiled egg will spin, but a raw egg won’t. Neither one will stand on its end on the equinoxes. 😉

          • AFVet says:

            You’re close.
I was taught this in science class many moons ago on a lesson in centrifugal force.
Lay both eggs on their side and spin them.
Once spinning touch them with your finger.
The one that stops immediately is hard boiled,
The raw egg will not stop but continue to rotate slowly due to the fact that the insides are still liquid.
            Try it.
            Pure physics.

          • elliesmom says:

I’m physics teacher, AFVet. lol I was just giving a simple answer, not teaching a class. If you spin both eggs, the raw one stops after a couple of wobbly spins, but the hard boiled one spins like a top. It has to do with the center of mass changing in the raw egg as the yolk, which has a different density, moves around inside the egg. The yolk is in a fixed spot in the cooked egg. There is no such thing as “centrifugal force”. But that’s a lesson for another day. 😉

          • AFVet says:

Butt butt, doesn’t the center of mass pertain to the gravity of the mass.
Being it liquid or solid ?
And doesn’t the content then contribute to the performance of the object ?
A raw egg will spin if you spin it.
            It has no choice.

          • AFVet says:

            I love this.
I said spin them and then stop the spinning with your finger.
Hard will stop, raw will keep moving.

          • AFVet says:

            Centrifugal Force.
Radiating or flying off from a center.
            Also see centrifuge.

          • elliesmom says:

The center of mass of perfect sphere of equal density within is in the center of the sphere. But if the object is not uniform within, the center of mass of the object may not be at the center. In the case of an egg, it’s not a sphere and the interior of the egg is made up of two liquids of unequal density so the CoM is not at the geometric center. Any object sent into a rotational spin absent other forces, will rotate around it’s center of mass. Check it out with a hammer, but be careful. 😉

When solving mathematical problems in physics, the center of mass of an object is used as its center, not the geometric center. In the case of a two body system, like the earth and the moon, for example, the center of mass of the system may be outside the mass of either object. We say the moon revolves around the earth, but that’s not technically true. Both the earth and the moon revolve around point outside the body of the earth. The point is much closer to the earth than it is to the moon so for everyday practical purposes we say the moon revolves around the earth. No astronomer would argue with a lay person, but they would never get to the moon unless they knew better.

Newton’s First Law. Simply put, an object either remains at rest or continues to move at a constant velocity unless acted upon by a force. We call that inertia. A centripetal force is a force that pulls a object in a circular path toward the center of its path. Gravity acts as a centripetal force when we’re looking at planetary motion. The combination of inertia and gravity is what people call “centrifugal force”, but there is no separate and measurable force. In a centrifuge, the machine spins the objects in it a circle creating a centripetal force that pulls the objects toward the center of their circular motion. The objects in the centrifuge are constantly moving in a straight line tangential to their circular motion due to inertia. The combination of inertia and centripetal force keep the object from falling into the center of the circle or spinning away in a straight line. But just like it’s easier to say the moon revolves around the earth, it’s easier for folks to create an imaginary force that explains why the water stays in the bucket that to go into a more complete explanation. But shame on your science teacher for teaching you about “centrifugal forces”. 😉

          • 1539days says:

Same principle as an unbalanced washing machine load. A balanced object like a top will direct its energy toward the point making contact, the center, therefore centripetal. The unbalanced load only spins because force is constantly applied to it. When an object has more mass on one side of the contact point than another, it constantly falls to one side. Instead of the energy going into spinning, the energy shifts away from the center, causing violent vibration.

Most boiled eggs are boiled on their side. All the mass distributes lower on the egg, reducing the center of mass and making it more stable. It spins. The raw egg has an unbalanced side, so it will wobble and that wobbling takes all the energy used to try spinning it.

          • blowme0bama says:

Why doesn’t someone just spin a raw egg and find out?

      • DeniseVB says:

When I found it wasn’t sure it was an egg or a part of a really short bunny. Had to confirm via the link because I was looking for a whole egg.

There’s a video floating around on the internet about how to decorate a cake using melted chocolate and bubble wrap. First comment out of the box is the bubble wrap will give you cancer. While I understand the concern over repeated, extended exposure to BPA especially in early childhood, one slice of a special cake on a holiday is not going to start a tumor growing the next morning or even 50 years later. Do people get up in the morning looking for mellows to harsh?

I’m such a weather nerd. I think this is Helen’s neck of the woods ?

  4. Anthony says:

When you lose Anonymous Cruz), you’re really in trouble…

    • Somebody says:

Another Anonymous video, once again we have duelling Anonymous. You would think the REAL Anonymous would go scorched earth to expose the fake Anonymous. Otherwise anybody with a webcam and a Guy Fawkes mask can be Anonymous. Maybe what is really happening is that there is a rift and the original Anonymous has splintered, who the hell knows.

This entire election is through the looking glass

      • Anthony says:

Well, Don’t I feel like a dumbass…. had no idea that there were so many “Anonymae” floating around out there

That reminds me of my daughter and son when I wanted to watch the news. Now my son talks about not even turning on the tv when his little girls are awake. lol

  8. Somebody says:

I’ve noticed that Ted Cruz is very good at parsing his words, which I presume is a lawyer thing. It strike me at times as very Clintonian. He’s very good at sounding like he’s saying something, but not really saying it or leaving himself an out or what have you.

Next comes the supposed sex scandal……very Clintonian once again. Then I stumble across this from 2013, which is Clintonian again. It’s not quite cattle futures, but close. He made a nice return on $6,000…..it turned into $100,000, but not as quickly as Hillary’s cattle futures. Oh and it’s yet another item he inadvertently omitted on his financial disclosures……I guess his memory is a bit fuzzy.

    • swanspirit says:

Cruz reminds me of Obama, in that he us always lawyer/ lecturing. I passed my tolerance level on being lectured at eons ago. For all his faults, at least Trump talks to you. Which also tells me hi is not a narcissist, because he makes real connections with people, and narcissists fake making connections.

  9. Dora says:

    • Somebody says:

That is the only supposed pro-Trump person on the rules committee, all the others supposedly are pro-Cruz………no word on whether any of them could potentially be scorned ex-lovers.

He said he would vote for Trump. I’m not sure if that’s the same as an endorsement, but I suppose whoever wrote the title of this article was all excited. 🙂

    WOW!!!! 🙂

  14. DeniseVB says:

LOL ! For the Bernies calling Trump Hitler …..

    • DeniseVB says:

Wow, I’ve never seen Whittle so emotional. He’s right.

    • taw46 says:

We who know and see this watch his videos. Those who need to listen will never watch any of his videos. (thinking of my Dem relatives here. They would rather sit, watch, and be brainwashed by Maddow night after night).

      • DeniseVB says:

I put it on my FB page. Mine will watch it because they’ll think it’s about Trump and Bill gives it credibility by slamming Trump at the beginning. I can’t wait for the unfollows, most of my family are Bernie supporters, as well as OWS and BLM. Arggghhhh.

  15. Somebody says:

Apparently that Andrea McWilliams woman that tore into Melania Trump on Cavuto is a democrat lobbyist. Odd that she was on that show as representing Ted Cruz’s campaign……what a tangled web Ted seems to weave. To be fair McWilliams husband is a republican lobbyist, they are the Carville and Matalin of Texas lobbyists.

    • DeniseVB says:

Doesn’t she know what happens when you attack the Trumpster or his family? SMASH ! 😉

      • Myiq2xu™ says:

The TDS Brigades say that that stuff shows how petty and dangerous DJT and his followers are.

I think DJT does it on purpose to send a message to voters: If anybody attacks America we will kick their asses. If they insult America we’ll embarrass and humiliate them. We will reward our friends and punish our enemies. America under DJT will not be pushed around.

        • swanspirit says:

I have been thinking that some of what he has been doing are also shots across the bow to Hillary and the Dims.

        • swanspirit says:

That double minaret mosque; within a stone’s throw of our nation’s capital, is going to cover some 15 acres in Maryland,. Why do we need such a large Muslim center; if not to.encourage an increasing Muslim influence in this country. Why do we need such a presence? Why encourage an increase in numbers of an ideology almost directly opposed to the values of this country, and which is creating horror and devastation all over the world? This is the Obama legacy.

    • Somebody says:

I don’t think the Trump people know about her. I found that article digging around trying to figure out who she is. It wasn’t easy linking her as a democrat, but I knew she was when I read one of her biggest lobbying accomplishments is clean coal legislation.

While all of Trump’s detractors go on and on about how unpresidential, etc he is, I believe that is one of his strongest attributes for his supporters. They are tired of political speak, pc speak, walking around on our tippy toes speak. Would I like him to reign it in just a bit? Yes, I wish he would let his operatives be a bit more dickish rather than taking things on directly. But, bottom line is this stuff doesn’t bother his supporters. They want results – they don’t need no stinkin’ poetry, lecture, philosophizing about socialism, etc. They want the unvarnished truth and they want shit to get done.

I think the sisters should definitely put out more $hit pieces…they are gifted that way.

If she were thrown off that airplane just for being black, she’d own American Airlines. The cabin crew is the boss of you sweetie-pie. What a hoot, and all those people egging her on to sue. Twidiots 🙂

      • taw46 says:

That was the best, everyone believing what she said and telling her to sue. As if any airline would throw someone off the plane because of their skin color. Hello, did she look around the plane?

      • swanspirit says:

Awww look at that innocent face, I am sure she had no “attitude” /s

    • taw46 says:

I stumbled across that as well. Unbelievable. I used to work for an airline many years ago, and some people were rude and mean. Then they would be so sweet when the manager was called. Looks like this one showed her ass to the manager as well. I had one passenger mad about his flight seating, he then proceeded to rip the signage off the counter. The police had to escort him out of the terminal. Don’t miss it at all, they must be a thousand times worse now.

From a coupla year ago, didn’t Trump have this same fight with Palm Beach where he built a small hill to adhere to the height code?

    • taw46 says:

Why, yes he did, fought to fly the flag at Mar-a-Lago. Now he has to once again fight to fly the American flag? I see more votes for him 😉.
