NY Primary Results Open Thread

Donald Trump running away with almost 70% of the vote 20 minutes after the polls close. Trump projected as winner at 9:00:01.

muther fucker

Dem primary still too close to call. My progressive uncle and his feminist daughter voted Bernie. That said, he’s in PA tonight, so his internals weren’t showing him winning, and he probably won’t win. The news networks needed something to keep the lo-fo voters tuned in, though.

This is another mother fucking open thread. Klown, man, we need you!

They still think they have the power to influence us Denise.
      Hang tough.

I know, right ? … I saw that last night on Fox, and ended up switching between MSNBC & FBN. I’d had it with Megyn months ago and haven’t watched her since then. I can’t stand any of them on night time FNC. Except maybe Greta. But I’m not usually around to watch her. I ended up falling asleep after a day with Calamity anyway…

  4. DandyTIger says:

Interesting NY exit polling. 25% say never Trump. 40% say never Cruz. And 30% say never Kasich.

Just my 2 cents. Klown’s doctor said quit drinking or lose a leg. Blogging may have involved drinking. Hard to do somethings sober you did while imbibing. Miq2xu set up a wonderful place with diverse opinions. He might need a respite. It’s not like every post isn’t already open. This place is more like Cheers. Next time WMCB comes back we should all type “Norm”. Lily needs bipedal grandfather.

  6. DeniseVB says:

    FBN called NY for Hillary.

  7. mothy67 says:

I’d love to see all others beat Ted Cruz.

  8. Venus says:

Trump has a ceiling of around 35%

  9. He was so much better when he still had a sense of humor. #SoreCruzer

  10. taw46 says:

Hannity has on 2 Trump sons and Tiffany.

  11. DandyTIger says:

So now Cruz is serving as a spoiler only. Can’t win outright. And by his own words about Kasich and previous candidates, he should drop out. Unless, you know, he’s a lier.

    • Myiq2xu™ says:

Cruz hasn’t been mathematically eliminated yet. He would need just about all the 734 remaining delegates to win on a first ballot. Trump only needs a little more than half of them.

  12. DandyTIger says:

Wow, Hillary seems to be winning by around 20 points. Ouch. Sorry Bernie, but you’re done.

  13. DandyTIger says:

Trump seems to be around 60%. Probably where it will end up give or take a few.

  14. mothy67 says:

I think Kasich is gay. Just my gaydar.mostly sure I never slept with him. Who knows.

  15. Alright. Ambien kicking in. I fucking love pharmaceuticals #BetterLivingThruChemistry.

I’m out. Y’all play nice. At least until the trolls show up. Then kick some ass.

A wall in the Trump campaign office:

  17. DeniseVB says:

    Heh. Well’s there’s this too😉

  18. mothy67 says:

I am amazed 152,000 people voted for Catshit. I think he is simple minded. Maybe be had too many poppers. He is so gay. I had no onowledge of him until th 63rd debate. I saw him said gay. Binged him he got divorced and lived with a staff member. Staff member. I giggle. I had no reason to think gay I just did. If I sensed it and then find accusations. Well you decide. Oh wait you cannot decide Reince Penis will. Silly me.
Seriously why does RNC protect its gheys. Lindsay? I could not care less.

  19. Venus says:

Remember y’all — Cruz and Kasich won their home states too, but neither one broke 50% BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Synopsis of Trump delegate manager Paul Manafort on Hannity for those who missed it:
Said he didn’t know final count of delegates Trump won tonight, but Trump is going to get at least 90 and maybe a few more.
There won’t be a 2nd ballot — Trump has several paths to 1237 by early June; the 90 Trump gets tonight exceeds his base count.
Cruz may very well come in 3rd in PA but he isn’t getting a 1/3 of the delegates.
He refuses, again, to lay out his strategy to get Trump to 1237 to Hannity. Smart man.

    • DeniseVB says:

I caught that, Manafort was very reassuring about delegate math.

    • DandyTIger says:

All the estimates that Trump will be 80 short, the typical “math”, all assume his running the tables today and in the coming weeks won’t have any effect on the current polling. And it also assumes there will be no ground game as has been the case for the most part. Both assumptions are wrong.

      • DandyTIger says:

But I think the biggest shift going forward, unless other events or news change things, is that Trump can now win and Cruz can’t. I think there will be an effect going forward of voters shifting to the “winner” both because he’s the winner and because they don’t want to see a contested, slimy, cheating convention.

A convention that overturns the will of a majority or even just a plurality of voters IMHO would effectively fracture and damage the GOP for years to come. And likely allow a Dem congressional majority. I think the GOPe would be quite happy with Hillary as president. She’s establishment. But I don’t think they’d be happy losing congress. Trouble is, they’re stupid and can’t see what this movement is about.

      • Venus says:

Manafort said in a previous interview about that “80 short” scenario that there is no way Trump can’t get 80 of the unbound with him if that happens. Basically, they’ll see he’s the best chance to win the GE in that case and will go for Trump. End result: wins on the 1st ballot.

    • lyn says:

      Trump has 89 so far.

  20. SHV says:

“Trouble is, they’re stupid and can’t see what this movement is about.”
Trouble is, they see exactly what this movement is about and the real threat that it represents to the “establishment” influence/money machine.

Ted Cruz’s campaign is setting some awfully high expectations for Donald Trump in New York: Get at least 50 percent, or drop out of the presidential race.

“If he doesn’t get over 50 percent, he should probably consider dropping out, like everyone else has when they don’t win their home state in a dramatic fashion,” Cruz campaign manager Jeff Roe said in an interview with ABC News’ Powerhouse Politics podcast.

  26. Jadzia says:

What a nice thing to wake up to. Here in Tours, we are locked out of the university all week because 98 students (out of 5000 at our faculty) voted to blockade to protest a law that has…. nothing to do with the university. I held one class outside and the rest in my living room but really, I wanted to just march my ass into the building and tell those miscreants to try to do something about it. I am ready to channel my own inner Trump.
