Trump Campaign Canceled A Reporter’s Interview After They Heard Him Speak Spanish

Marcos Stupenengo, a freelance correspondent working for TV Azteca, got an interview with Donald Trump — initially. He had no trouble when he asked to come to Trump Tower in New York on Monday to interview the bombastic presumptive Republican nominee.

But as he waited to conduct the interview, Stupenengo received a call, and began speaking in Spanish. That’s when the Trump campaign informed him they had no interest in taking part in an interview with him, according to a source with knowledge of the incident.

Reached for comment, Stupenengo forwarded the request to the network. “I can say that after 13 years of journalism worse things have happened to me,” he wrote in an email, declining to comment further.

The Trump campaign did not respond to a request for comment.
Stupenengo, who is from Argentina, studied journalism there before going to school in New York. He has green eyes and would appear to many to be a non-Hispanic white male.

A Spanish-speaking Secret Service agent with Trump apologized to Stupenengo, saying he was sorry and he didn’t know what was happening, the source with knowledge of the incident said.

If the reason his interview was canceled was because of that phone call, I would bet my bottom dollar that it was what he was saying and not because of the language he was saying it in.

If he had an appointment then he must of been vetted. They knew who he was, who he was working for and where he was from. If they didn’t want to talk to him they would have just blown him off from the get-go.

This is one of those situations where you don’t know what the truth is, but you know that the story you are hearing ain’t it.

The TDS mob will be salivating and bloviating over this alleged racism, without even a shred of proof being provided.

I am so sick of this fucking daily bullshit.

Serenity now.

    Expect more.
NYT just did a bs story with one of Trumps former girlfriends.

Seriously — O fucked up big time on this one. Very, very liberal people I know have told me, in lowered voices (‘natch), how Obama “messed up” trying to force this issue and that these things should just be “left alone.”

Last week I was out at a bar and went to the rest room. Both one seaters had been turned into unisex bathrooms. The funny news was men had to wait in line just like the women. The bad news, both bathrooms had pee splatters all over the toilet and everything around it because men are pretty much happy if they hit anything. Gross! I like cute, clean women (people with zero Y chromosomes) only bathrooms.

      • DeniseVB says:

The potties on Amtrak are all one seater unisex. Doesn’t bother me as long as there’s a lock on the door. Speaking of floor to ceiling splatter, men can’t pee on trains 😀

    And now from the NYTimes:

The economic crisis in this country has exploded into a public health emergency, claiming the lives of untold numbers of Venezuelans. It is just part of a larger unraveling here that has become so severe it has prompted President Nicolás Maduro to impose a state of emergency and has raised fears of a government collapse.

“It is like something from the 19th century,” said Dr. Christian Pino, a surgeon at the hospital.

The figures are devastating. The rate of death among babies under a month old increased more than a hundredfold in public hospitals run by the Health Ministry, to just over 2 percent in 2015 from 0.02 percent in 2012, according to a government report provided by lawmakers.

The rate of death among new mothers in those hospitals increased by almost five times in the same period, according to the report.

This picture immediately reminded me of my life yesterday. Last week I purchased a roll actor (a walker with four wheels, hand brakes, and a seat) so I could go out for walks during the days I’m home. My back/leg “problem” has really impacted my quality of life and I can’t walk very far without having to stop due to leg pain. But when I take Calamity out in the stroller, I’m okay. So I bought the walker. (My choices were one of those amazing runner’s strollers or a walker. I opted for the walker because I’d look looney tunes if I had to weigh the stroller down with bricks to go walking.) Anyway, I went out yesterday and people who were standing on the walking path had to step aside for the young “old lady” taking up the path with the walker.
I just kept telling myself that I was brave for going out in daylight when people could see me. But I went out the rear yard of my building so that not too many people I knew, could actually see me. lol. I went almost 12 blocks and felt tired, but great. Soon enough, I’ll have the surgery and with luck and heaven’s blessings, I won’t need this walker again for 25 more years…

      • elliesmom says:

Elliesdad uses a walker like that to walk around the neighborhood. It won’t fit in our car so it has limited use. But I’ve discovered it’s great when we’re taking a picnic lunch down to the beach. I can put the cooler bag on the seat and make him be useful.

      • cynic says:

Twelve blocks! Good for you! You know the saying, ‘use it or lose it’, is so true! My sister, who has had a couple of back surgeries, walks very little, and now has resorted to driving a cart at the grocery store. I don’t see her ever going back. Is your surgery scheduled? Did you buy a counter top oven? I was thinking I might like one because of all the holidays that I do. I’m always limited with oven space, especially when I do a large turkey.

        • leslie says:

The surgery is scheduled for June 2.
I DID get the countertop toaster oven. I like using it. I use it way more than I thought I would. Side dishes, appetizers, little frozen items that take only a few minutes and when using my large oven makes little sense. It takes only a few minutes to heat up and only a few minutes to cool down. I put it on the butcher block movable island and leave it unplugged until I need it. I’m glad I listened to everyone here. So far, so good. 😊
How is baby Lillian? And your daughter? Have you had gbaby stay at your house yet?

    No shit.
Hell, I don’t even know that I believe this guy *had* an appointment/interview time scheduled. After we found out for a FACT that the NYT ran a complete lie (i.e, Trump did not *demand* a woman he just met “put on a swimsuit”) and we know it’s a lie from the woman herself, for all I know this guy showed up, requested an interview, was told by the front desk they could check to see if there was anything available, and after checking, was told “Sorry. Nothing open” and he made up this ridiculous story to get his name out there.

Yep. Apart from a few very rare chromosomal disorders, a whole lot of the “trans” stuff is no different in its psychological dysfuntion than anorexics convinced they are really fat. I see a lot of very sad people who have latched onto “wrong gender” as a coping mechanism to explain their misery. And it’s becoming a very faddish mechanism at that. (I.e “MY FOUR YEAR OLD IS TRANS.”

      • Jadzia says:

The kid stuff really bothers me. My oldest son went through a phase when he was about 3 in which he liked to imitate me putting on makeup. I was a bit worried about it and was told by a therapist that it probably was about him wanting to spend time with me (this was back when I was at Biglaw and working crazy hours and yes, I still feel guilty). I am very, very glad that this happened in the days before the response would be well, let’s rename him and put him in a dress.

        • votermom says:

I’m pretty sure one of my kids spent some time identifying as a cat.

          • Jadzia says:

Ha ha. Back in junior high, I had a friend whose mom was an even bigger hippie than my parents. She had a brother who was about 4, and he decided that he wanted to be called Big Cat. So Big Cat is what he was called. For at least a year and for all I know, that is still what he’s called. (In his own defense, he had a pretty dumb given name, and I can say that, because it’s the same dumb name that my parents gave my little sister! She’s been using her middle name for 20 years now.)

          • taw46 says:

They have been doing that since she was very young, maybe 4 or 5?

          • Jadzia says:

I think that there’s a fine line between accepting your child as she is and encouraging her to stay stuck in a phase. With Shiloh J-P, it’s kind of hard to tell which is the case, IMHO. Doubly tricky because although it’s not like those kids are getting trotted down to the LaBrea Farmers Market every week, they are photographed a lot in public. A stubborn kid (not that I know a kid or was a kid like THAT) could very well end up feeling kind of like she’d lose face if she grew out of the phase, know what I mean?

Guess we’ll find out when her tell-all comes out in 25 years.

Ho Lee Phuck — did everyone see this about Bernie’s wife?

Burlington College Closes Due to “Crushing Weight” of Debt Acquired by Jane Sanders
“[U]nable to recover from “the crushing weight of the debt” incurred under Jane O’Meara Sanders, the college’s former president and wife of Bernie Sanders.

At the end of 2010, Ms. Sanders took out $10 million in loans on behalf of Burlington College to purchase a 32-acre swathe of land from the Roman Catholic diocese, which put the land up for sale to help cover the costs of a $17 million sexual-abuse settlement.

As Heat Street reported last month, the college almost immediately fell short on its financial obligations as fundraising pledges and commitments Ms. Sanders cited in the loan agreements never materialized.

Less than a year after leading Burlington College into massive debt, Ms. Sanders resigned, taking with her a $200,000 severance package.”

Borrow, borrow, borrow then take your money and run from the garbage fire you started. The Socialist way.

Moral of the story: never put a socialist’ s wife in charge of other people’s money.

  14. swanspirit says:

Part of the interesting aspect of this election year, is watching the “media” being deliberately obtuse regarding how the people feel about them . Some of them have begrudgingly acknowledged that there is a rebellion against the establishment politicians, but they have yet to admit the people also mistrust and despise them.

  15. WMCB says:

Am I wrong, here, guys? I know she’s never been the most personable candidate, but she really seems to have lost a step or two to me.

      • Jadzia says:

I think it would be awesome if we weren’t calling people bitches and other gross sexist names here, but that’s just me.

        • wailuagirl says:

        • wailuagirl says:

please tell me I’m not the only name caller (truth speaker)here??? Not sure why that was directed at me but I really don’t need to be monitored, thanks anyway.

          • DeniseVB says:

Nah, it doesn’t bother me. I think Milo’s pretty much made “bitch” gender neutral 😉

          • Jadzia says:

I think it’s sexist and disgusting. It’s okay to call HRC a bitch but not okay to call Sarah Palin a See You Next Tuesday? I think both are gross and regardless of what Milo says, in the real world the only people who get called a B are either women or men whose masculinity is being insulted (ie, it’s a way to treat them like women). It’s a slur, and I don’t think that gendered slurs are any more acceptable than racial slurs.

          • Jadzia says:

And look at that, I was able to make my point without calling anybody a bitch or a cunt. Amazing how that works.

          • Island Girl says:

I certainly never would use that sexist and disgusting “c” word………bitch is quite common in my “real world” . So anyways, I guess you made your point. Aloha!!

        • Venus says:

          I agree with you Jadzia.
That’s why I use gender-neutral terms like asshats and assholes.
The gender specific ones like “bitch” bother me.

I’ve noticed that some media have been using old pictures of Hillary when they do a story. That includes this morning’s Drudge. Are they all trying to cover for her? Do they really think that nobody notices?

        • DeniseVB says:

The younger, fresher Hillary photos tell me it’s going to be a pro-Hillary article. Just like I can tell “snarling Don” photos are going to be a hit piece on Trump. And vice versa.

      • Venus says:

Hillary’s alleged criminal actions are NOT what WMCB is talking about. Hillary is not well in her *health* — it’s obvious to anyone looking at her.
That has nothing to do with her corruption.

    • swanspirit says:

She is not well. I have been saying that for a while now. She is like an athlete well past their prime.

    • leslie says:

I just “saw” HRC again on FBN and was thinking the same thing – again. It’s not purely physical, it is cognitive as well. Her words are eliding so that I have to ask myself,”What did she just say?” And the snap she used to have – the quickness on her feet is slower as well. She looks like she is on a medication for something aAnd from time to time, misses or forgets things.
I am slightly older than she. I know this is greatly related to the aging process. I feel it s well. But with Hillary, there seems to be something else. Of course, if I’d been undermined and betrayed as she has been throughout her political and personal lives, I would be cautious and would trust only a very few people. And perhaps that is what I see going on. I don’t know. She HAS changed over the past 8 years.

      • Venus says:

        ITA with you on this.
Especially the meds — I’ve noticed that sometimes she looks *really* puffy on her face while other times she looks like her “normal” self– it’s such a vast difference that it cannot be put down to lighting, make up, etc. It has to be meds.

        • Myiq2xu™ says:

Face it, Hillary ain’t no spring chicken, and she’s been campaigning and fundraising non-stop for 2-3 years now. That kind of pace takes its toll eventually.

Trump OTOH, has a much less rigorous schedule. He doesn’t fundraise, he does a lot of interviews by phone, and he flies home lots of nights. He’s taking a mini-break right now – he hasn’t done a rally in 2 weeks.

          • Venus says:

I hear what you’re saying and that plays a part for sure. But I’m talking about something else — there are times she looks almost like a completely different person, not just like a tired older woman. It has to be medication that is distorting her face like that — and probably the hectic schedule wearing her out means the mess effectiveness fluctuates too. But what I’m seeing is more than just hectic schedule and age taking its toll.
And let’s not forget about that cough! That is no cold.

          • leslie says:

I agree w Venus. It’s more than meds; it’s not a cold. But it could be r/t medications. Some bp meds cause coughing. Some other meds do as well. But the side effects are, or seem to be, only part of the problems HRC is dealing with. Perhaps it’s her thyroid. Perhaps something else. Also age and stress. But like every other Dem, her records will be sealed and the rest of us will be ‘gaslighted’.

      • DeniseVB says:

I had FBN on this morning. I thought her Donald Trump “impression” was bizarre. The panel agreed with me in that “Really? She’s hitting him over job creation?” sort of way.

What I find fascinating about the trans issue is that at its core, trans advocates are against biology, and with that, gender preference. Which means they’re against gay/lesbian as a concept. As well as hetero of course, but then everyone is against that. It seems to all come back to identity politics eventually leads to its own demise.

It’s been my experience, which I admit is limited, that men who transition into women emulate every stereotype of women that exists. Like Bruce Jenner becoming a pinup girl over 60. None of my friends pose sprawled out in a corset. We prefer yoga pants. If they are really men trapped in women’s bodies, you’d think they think and feel like real, everyday women do. The theory that men like Jenner are sexually attracted to the woman they think they’d be so they try to create her makes some sense to me for at least some of the men.

Too lazy to the research but Christianity gained a following at the periphery of the slowly dying Roman Empire and then moved into Europe. The racial profile of North Africa, Anatolia, etc. 2000 years ago doesn’t fit with the “African Studies” concept that White men stole religion, science, etc. from Africans and other people of color.
