He was the best. The absolute best.

  2. Myiq2xu™ says:

Most people never got to see him fight live until the crappy fights at the end of his career.

  3. Myiq2xu™ says:

I guess it would help if I put the right year in my post title.

  4. swanspirit says:

I remember when he was Cassius Clay. My Dad was a total sports fan.

    • Myiq2xu™ says:

I was too young to understand the controversial stuff when it happened. The conversion to Islam, the name change, and the draft refusal.

I was in NYC with a bunch of giggly teenage girls having lunch. Muhammad Ali was still Cassius Clay, and he sat down at the table next to us. He was very gracious to us and did just the right amount of flirting back. Enough to send us into more rounds of giggling, but not inappropriate for a grown man and a bunch of kids. My family was into sports, but not into boxing so if one of my friends hadn’t recognized him, the poor guy could have had his lunch in peace.

  5. Jadzia says:

He was such a beautiful young man. I always assumed that his illness was caused by the boxing, but don’t know if that was actually the case.

Muhammad Ali: Boxing’s ‘Greatest’ made you love him – George Foreman

George Foreman has led worldwide tributes to Muhammad Ali, who has died at the age of 74.

When I took Ellie to puppy kindergarten, the agility course was still set up from the class before us. She loves the equipment until she gets to the tunnel. She’ll walk up the seesaw, stand at the top, and when it tips she’ll walk down the other side. She’ll walk across the doggie balance beam. But when she gets to the tunnel, she either lies down at the opening or runs around it. No amount of coaxing will get her to go through it. She’d be OK with the distraction race if it was all food, but throw in a tennis ball or a squeaky toy, and forget the race.

  16. Kathy says:

Loved to watch Ali box in his prime. Was never a big boxing fan till I saw the way he an artist. I don’t think we will ever see a boxer like that again.

Are you fucking kidding me, a reporter tweeted that? No wonder Trump calls them scum.

Ben fucking Howe has gotten on my last nerve. I know the whole “cuck” thing gets misused and over-used, but he is a prime example of why it was coined.

    • DandyTIger says:

There you go, being rational and telling people what’s going on again. We screamed about race war efforts in ’08 and no one listened then. Things are getting much, much worse, and they’re still not listening. Sheep heading off the cliff.

  22. swanspirit says:

I heard a black woman on CNN say , in regard to Trump questioning the bias of the judge of his Trump U. case, (paraphrasing here) No one ever questioned a judge’s decision based on his race.
To use a phrase often used by my father, “. Put your hip boots on, it’s getting deep around here.”

I’ve never found Sarah Silverman to be funny. My kids keep telling me she is, but I don’t get her sense of humor. I heard Joan Rivers criticize Silverman for not understanding there are boundaries in humor. I liked Joan.

      • Myiq2xu™ says:

Mostly she goes for shock humor with profanity and scatological jokes. That kind of stuff can be funny sometimes, but it gets old really fast. Poop jokes are for jr. high.

This guy will probably come to America and met by the Obama welcome wagon.

    • Lulu says:

And he is disabled. Of course he is. They need to DNA test all of kids. I don’t think he will be coming over here under the new Trump Immigration Act point system. He would get a -60 or something score.

If these SoBs don’t have jobs over here, we need to send all non-citizens home. Now.

  33. Dora says:

For those who support Bernie Sanders, the news is very good. The “Denver Post” discovered the Colorado Democratic Party reported the March 1 caucus results from 10 precincts inaccurately. That error cost Sanders one delegate, until now.

    • DandyTIger says:

The Hillary people are downplaying the CA vote. Partly because even if Bernie wins, because of super delegates, Hillary will go over the top and technically be nominated. But if Bernie wins, and if you don’t count super delegates, he’s getting uncomfortably close. And Hillary not being able to carry CA when she’s basically the nominee looks really, really bad.

  34. Dora says:

Guess they don’t know what’s wrong yet. Acting strange, but that’s not unusual.
