Baton Rouge shooting: 3 officers killed, hunt on for shooters

In a city already tense following a high-profile police shooting of an African-American man, three Baton Rouge police officers were killed and three others wounded Sunday. Officials think the attack on the officers is the work of multiple gunmen.

Police received a call of a “suspicious person walking down with an assault rifle,” a source with knowledge of the investigation told CNN. When police arrived, the shooting began.

One of the suspects is dead. Authorities believe two others may be at large.

“If they are wearing army fatigues; if they are wearing all black; if they are wearing a mask; if they are wearing anything that’s out there, please, give us a call,” said Baton Rouge Police Cpl. L.J. McKneely.

This shit is really getting out of hand. Meanwhile, Black Lives Matter wants you to know we shouldn’t jump to conclusions. It’s not like some racist white cop murdered an innocent thug.

I blame the media and Democrats for hyping race for their own profit.

Poverty, Race, LGBT, Abortion, “Compassionate” Illegal Immigration, it’s a long list, and none of these policies are helping anyone rise up or be safe, legal and rare.

Come to think of it, if I hadn’t bailed on the idiot Dems 2008, I would have definitely bailed this year. It’s so much worse.

*head desk*…. I’m so over this bullshit

      • DeniseVB says:

An OpEd in my local paper actually blamed highways as racist since they only go through the low income (black, cough, black) neighborhoods and divide them from the uppity people. This was actually trying to explain the “symbolic meaning” of the BLMers standing on our roads blocking traffic. Journalism, sigh.

“Bungled” VP decisions are a part of our history. Does anyone remember the NYT confirming Gephardt as Kerry’s VP pick in 2004 ? Then some young airman at an obscure airport posted on an aviation message board …. then why are they painting Kerry-Edwards on the campaign plane? He was scoffed off as a troll because everyone believed the NYT in those days 😛

Me thinks Newt wants to be SOS, not sure how I feel about that. I think Jeff Sessions would be a calm, determined, no drama SOS.

So many ppl think Newt should chief of staff, but that is a very demanding job. I’m not sure he has the stamina. There was a TV show about the job featuring past COS for several POTUS, long hours, high pressure.

    • DeniseVB says:

I think GWB did that in 2000. I loved Colin Powell then, though I think it was after the convention, he did announce him as SoS before the election. I never could get on the Gore train that year, had Clinton fatigue and Gore was about as interesting as a 2x4x16. Aka, a board.

      • Mt.Laurel says:

A board is more useful and does not inflict you with infomercials on fake global crap while using enough power burning light bulbs at its third favorite mansion to get a rocket to Mars. And back.

  11. Anthony says:

Gov. John Kasich (also “Never Trump” crybaby and whiny little bitch of a GOPe ass kisser) refuses to suspend open carry laws during RNC convention. God, I hate this guy…

    • DeniseVB says:

Leadership, not politics, again, Trump is right. Just wondering if those Baton Rouge cops weren’t allow TO FUCKING SHOOT FIRST….be sure it isn’t a toy gun or a “troubled person” or something? Y’know, some crazy PokemonGo kid wondering the streets. Because, leadership. 30 cops killed this year for giving benefit of the doubt?

      • CiscoKid says:

Well DeniseVB, here’s some crazy shit that’s being proposed for the Chicago PD.
        Shoot first ?
‘Da community don’t even want police to draw their weapons.

    • DeniseVB says:

Look up Shaun King’s timeline, even he doesn’t want to be bothered with a comment on another police killing, he’s moving from Atlanta to Brooklyn, too busy. Dear lawd, just how much is the NYDN paying him???

    • Mt.Laurel says:

The WSJ responded for her by announcing that their poll had HER ahead. Yep, one rarely gets blips on the phone over the weekend unless it is something major and yet this silly piece of fluff showed up this morning. Then someone must have called them about a fake poll perhaps not being the best push notice to get priority with the shootings in Baton Rouge and Baltimore because all of a sudden the local news stations were scrambling way after the fact and about an hour after I got a blip from the BBC app – which rarely sends push notices.

The suspect has been identified as a black male named Gavin Eugene Long of Kansas City, Missouri, sources tell CBS News. He was born on July 17, 1987.

I guess that eliminates racism as a motive.

Good grief, just put Greta on as background noise and she’s shrieking “Baton Rouge Ambush” hours after the BR police said don’t believe anything you hear on the news unless it comes out of our mouths. Thank goodness a 1 star Medea movie is coming up on TBS. I lurve Madea ❤

Rita Moreno(purple dress) won an Oscar this year. Not sure, the guy who sang “what do you have to keep clean” was Goldie Hawn’s first husband. Never could figure out who Gus Trinkinis (?) was in the cast.

  26. DandyTIger says:

A superlib friend on FB (read white 1%’er) just said the police being killed in Baton Rouge was karma. What do you say to that? I’m speechless.
