Leftists Are “Aggressive” But Trump Supporters Are “Violent”

Donald Trump roiled Minnesota politics for a few hours Friday night without ever showing his face in public.

The New York businessman made his first visit to the state as the Republican presidential candidate for a private nighttime fundraiser at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Dozens of protesters gathered out front ahead of the event and marched around the large building. Later in the evening, a smaller contingent grew unruly. Some fundraiser attendees were pushed and jostled, spit on and verbally harassed as they left the convention center.

Imagine if Tea Partiers had acted like that.

Justified aggression is GOOD!!!! Supporting El Trumpo is BAD!!!! And will obviously lead to unjustified violence. Any fool understands THAT!!!

  3. DeniseVB says:

My biggest gripe with the media is that they don’t even try to find out who those protesters are, where they’re from and who pays them. They sure were quick to label the Tea Party astroturf racists. We were not and our local organizer was black. Just trying to raise the money to pay rally fees and security. Unlike OWS and BLM who get free rides by cities and their taxpayers stuck with the cleanup bill.

    • 49erDweet says:

      Cue “Racist!!!” retort.

    • taw46 says:

When they do show video of the protests/riots, they never mention or question the signs that show CPUSA (Communist Party USA) printed at the bottom. And many other groups, including the Anarchists ones. Hopefully there are smart people out there, who, when seeing those signs, will google those groups. Media certainly won’t tell them.

    • AFVet says:

The TEA Party is alive and well and thriving at Trump rallies.
Our voice was never silenced, all we needed was to have a candidate come forward and amplify it.
The silent majority is silent no longer.

      • DeniseVB says:

Cue my favorite Tea Party song 😀 (notice the very same people who tried to destroy Palin and the tea party are now trying to destroy Trump? “Jackass chasing a dumb pachyderm” = Dems and GOPe).

        • AFVet says:

Yes Ma’am, our voices are loud and clear.
I only hope we have the force to defeat the liberals this time.

    • Dora says:

God, I wish they would stop calling them protesters!

Said every business that Trump wants to force to hire Americans again.

        • Venus says:

It’s not forcing them — it’s taking away the advantages for hiring foreign slave-wage earners.
You actually think that’s a bad thing.
          That’s why you’re an asshole.

          • 1539days says:

Taking away an advantage is a disincentive. Much like the burger machines taking away $15/hr McDoanlds jobs, if a company goes from paying a Chinese worker $3 an hour to an American $13/hr there’s a good chance 100 Chinese jobs will be replaced by 12 American jobs and a bunch of machines.

          • Myiq2xu™ says:

By my calculations that leaves us +12 American jobs. Even more if we make the machines.

          • Anthony says:

That’s only one of the reasons for rampant ass-holiness, Angie. The main factor is butthurt because nobody sent a welcome wagon for the reptilians who supported Cruz.

They believe DJT & supporters are supposed to engage in public ass kissing to “earn their support!” I say get on the train or get the fuck out of the way before your ass gets run over. (How’s my charm school crash course working?) 😀

          • Venus says:

            I’d ask for a refund. 🙂

          • Anthony says:

Well to be fair, its only my second day… and I did take the time to respond in full sentences 🙂

        • DandyTIger says:

Simple choice. Either allow the elite/establishment to drain the employment dry and let the US spiral into 3rd world status, or make some changes. Many of those changes are hated by the elites of both parties. Completely unencumbered “free” trade makes all countries and workers in those countries equalized to 3rd world level. If that globalism “purity” is what you want, then Hillary is your man.

    • DandyTIger says:

Since when did Sooper become so anti-capitalist?

      • Venus says:

        When Rubio dropped out.

These moron #NeverTrumps STILL don’t realize that the only choice was Jeb! or Trump. Their idiot Rubios and Cruzs were just vote-splitters for Jeb!

        • Myiq2xu™ says:

I am willing to assume good faith on the part of the people who wanted someone other than Trump. Even Jeb supporters.

But the primaries are over and Trump won. The choice now is Trump or Hillary.

In my not so humble opinion there is no contest. Hillary isn’t a bad candidate, she’s the worst candidate. Trump has flaws, but he is still far better than Hillary.

I wish we had better choices. My dream candidate would combine the best qualities of Trump, Walker, Cruz and Perry. But it doesn’t work that way.

          • 1539days says:

If I were to say that Trump will lose in a landslide because he’s a terrible candidate with lousy general election instincts, the counter would be that Trump is only behind by a few percent in a bunch of biased polls. He underpolls, voters won’t admit to supporting Trump but will go to the polls and the samples are weighted too Democrat-heavy.

Further supposing that the NeverTrump contingent is pretty small, what is up with the hard sell on voting Trump? If a tiny handful of Republicans are the ones complaining about Trump, what’s with the “a vote for Gary Johnson is a vote for Hillary” and “There are only 2 choices”

Right now, a 5% poll deflection in all the states would give Trump the White House. Is Trump on the road to victory or are we at DEFCON 1? If there’s not a crisis in the campaign, bashing Trump critics is just an exercise in ego inflation.

          • Venus says:

Oh 1539days, you ignorant slut — we’re not bashing you, we’re mocking you because you have been 100% dead wrong on everything re: Trump for the entire last year & you STILL think you have something to say that is worth hearing.

    • blowme0bama says:

I dropped Soop last fall when he was aggressively anti-trump. That was before I was fully in the tank even. He was livid about Trump talking about deporting anchor babies.

      • DeniseVB says:

I unfollowed soop a few months ago, but I still see him on my twitline when someone retweets him. Sometimes I react, sometimes I don’t. The NYT being sourced on his RIGHT SCOOP article was just stupid. It didn’t pass the “real conservative” sniff test.

Watching it on the OAN channel and Trump just mentioned Kaine’s name and the crowd went batsh*t crazy booing. Thank you Fredericksburg, I’m not the only one who remembers Timmy shutting down the interstate rest areas to save money, lol.

McDoanlds is the most popular food in the Olympic Village. Either because it is free for competitors or because the alternative is eating food in Rio.

    • DeniseVB says:

I saw an article about that. I think McDonald’s is an Olympic sponsor, as is Chobani yogurt (my favorite despite all their controversies, best tasting to me). Most of the sponsors provide FREE SH*T for big events for publicity. Much cheaper 😉

The talking heads, bloggers and newspaper columnists must have recognized that this could resonate (or someone paying the bills realized it). The “that was a racist stupid remark” has been vomited-up more times in the last 24 hours than I have heard “racist” spit out in the last 8 years… and that is really saying something.

  15. 49erDweet says:

OT. Giant trauma here today. Rat trap in crawl space went off loud!y last night, catching one, but obviously not fatally. Resultant noise on overhead trap door went on sporadically all night long. Today son gingerly opens trap door and uses rake to pull the still struggling guy down to our level, for the cue de gra. Incidentally dropping and loudly breaking our trap door, and upsetting a large plastic catch tub four or five times. Plus nervously yelling each time he saw the dirty rat. Grandkids loved the show. Fun times! Services at dusk.

The media silence on the fascist violence of the left is deliberate. Not only do they believe it’s somehow justified, they don’t mind that it is an intimidation tactic. Obama used misogyny against Hillary in 2008 in exactly the same way. If enough voters get angry at the use of these tactics, it could easily backfire on the Dems. I hope it does soon. I hope Trump calls the media and the Dems out on this as well.

From the Washington Post: “Bill McDermott, a psychologist for the New Orleans Police Department, said that repeated traumas can shatter victims’ presumptions about how the world works, which can be deeply unsettling. They are left with a worldview, he said, “that involves no longer believing the same as I had in justice, in fairness, in that good things happen to good people and bad things happen to bad people. That’s a presumption that is shattered.”

In that context, what is the message being telegraphed to the people of Louisiana by the president vacationing on what is to them another planet? Regardless of the government response, or what agency heads are there, or what the governor says, the message to many desperate people is, “I don’t care,” and, regardless of whether you feel that’s fair or not, or partisan or not, they get to feel that way, and we who do not have this as our reality are not entitled to question it.

After all…he’s the one who said that when someone is president “the American people should have no patience for what is in your head because you have a job to do.”

This isn’t about right or left or nitpicking. This is about decades of poor leadership from the White House, and the fact that a large number of us are fed up with it…so much so that there are seemingly millions who are looking to someone like Donald Trump to provide it. That in and of itself should be telling you something.

Righteous anger? You bet your ass. If we are going to fund these oligarchs with millions of dollars of vacations (over $44 million in the current idiot’s case) to places most Americans will never see, then when the shit hits the fan it is not unreasonable to expect they will actually work instead of play. That was certainly the expectation of the masses and the media when a republican was in the White House in 2005.

Broken people need compassion, and they need to know they matter. As a teacher who has had to console young children, an inconsolable mother weeping over her newborn baby’s coffin, siblings caught in the middle of breaking marriages and family…I can tell you that even the simplest gestures mean more than anyone can imagine. So imagine what it would mean to a community destroyed again, after coming off a tense social situation with the Alton Sterling shooting, if your president had said, “I’ve got this,” instead of, “Sorry, I’m golfing, and don’t forget…no discrimination!”

In 1965, after hurricane Betsy ravaged New Orleans, LBJ showed up in the 9th Ward at an elementary school 24 hours after the storm. In near darkness he announced to the victims, “This is your president. I’m here to help you!” It was a legendary moment they never forgot, and gave them hope when they otherwise had none. The actions of a leader in desperate times make a huge difference to desperate people. The president went on vacation instead. The people of Louisiana are not going to forget that either.

This is a community in pain that can’t even bury their dead, dozens still missing with their already buried dead floating down the street in coffins. This president is at best tone deaf, at worst, a heartless piece of crap like the ones before him. The Advocate is not asking him to be superman, just a compassionate human being with a soul. I don’t think that’s asking too much

    • Myiq2xu™ says:

A POTUS doesn’t have to physically show up at every natural disaster to send the message that he cares and is hard at work trying to provide relief for the victims. He can lead from the Oval Office too.

      Going golfing sends a different message – “I don’t give a fuck.”

      • Mt.Laurel says:

Well BO did take time to lecture those who may have lost everything to not be racist. Nothing like sending more coded messages to the pot stirrers.
