Its a long way to Richmond… (and Sunday Open Thread)

We’re all really excited to get back on the air today!  Our last show was a lot of fun, thanks to TCH commenters calling in and sharing their wit, sarcasm and points of view.  It was great to hear all of your voices, and I hope you’ll make it in time to call us again today.

Showtime is 3pm Eastern, Noon Pacific – follow this link

Call-in Number: (929) 477-1796

Last time around, a listener called me after the show and said that Angie and I were like the Bonnie and Clyde of internet radio because we “tell the truth and take no prisoners”.  Well, if truth-telling is now a crime, then Angie, Lola, Dandy Tiger and I are ready to spit it in the eye of the PC police with our last breath.

In keeping with that theme, our broadcast today is coming from an undisclosed location that we’re using as a secret hideout.  You’re all on the guest list, so show up. Or else.🙂

The cool thing about doing this show is that we never have to worry about material.  The MSM does all of that for us, and all we have to do is take it and run with it. Today’s (anticipated) topics are:

  • That long-awaited Conversation on Race
  • Shit the MSM makes up
  • the PC police return with a vengeance
  • Election 2016 – “Everybody is a Bigot!”

Of course, we’re also depending on you guys to call in and shoot your mouth off and share your point of view.  We’re not looking for an echo chamber, so opposing points of view are more than welcome and add to the discussion. The only thing we ask is that you be polite and not insult or demean any of the hosts or other callers.  Do that, and your ass is mine.

You can call in and share your voice, leave suggestions for topics in this thread, or post them in the chat room during the broadcast. Do it any way you want to, but DO IT!  It was a lot of fun to get together last time, and I hope to hear from you all again today!

I suspect someone behind the scenes at MSNBC is alt-right:

  8. DandyTIger says:

This mourning on one of the Dem cable networks people were outraged and screaming about the Trump campaign reaching out to both gays and blacks, and even having the nerve to have T-Shirts on sale with things like Gays for Trump. They’re just beside themselves. They’re like little girls whose prom will be totally ruined because the unpopular girl got crowned Queen of the Prom. OH MY GOD!

    • mothy67 says:

That’s funny Trump writes openly about his friendship with Roy Cohn atca time when few spoke openly about the gays. Bet Hills given the climate was not supportive.

    • Anthony says:

Yeah, I saw Donna Brazile losing her shit over that one on Stephanopoulis lol. The DNC must be really scared…

ALSO – check your email. Left you same message on Twitter.

  9. Dora says:

This should be a winner for Trump, so I’m surprised that Hillary even agreed to it. It’s going to be difficult to come up with soft ball questions about the veterans. I have a feeling Hillary will find an excuse not to attend.

Joint Candidate Event to Highlight National Security, Military and Veterans Issues, Live in Primetime on NBC and MSNBC on Wednesday, September 7, 2016

Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) will host both major party presidential nominees, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, for a live televised primetime forum to focus exclusively on issues the next president will have to confront as Commander-in-Chief.

The event will take place in New York City and will be simulcast on NBC and MSNBC in primetime on the evening of September 7, 2016.

    • Mothy67 says:

Trust nothing from NBC. Shell likely have all the questions.

    • DeniseVB says:

IAVA may want to come across as a bipartisan group, but they’re totally in the tank for Obama and the Dems. They even had their own Inaugural Ball in 2012 which the Obamas stopped by. I would expect they support Hillary this time around, so she’ll be sure to have her questions fluffed and The Don will be pecked to death by ducks.

On the upside, Billy Jeff avoided the military in the ‘Nam era with student deferments also, that will be a mute attack on Donald.

  10. Venus says:

Racist Trump sneakily planned his outreach to blacks over 30 years ago:

  11. Dora says:

With the stroke of his pen . . .

Obama creates world’s largest marine reserve – good for fish, not so good for fishermen
Four times the size of California, off the coast of Hawaii.

n a move that is being hailed as cementing his conservation legacy, Obama has, with the stroke of his pen, expanded a national marine monument off the coast of Hawaii to over 582,578 square miles. This move will, however, destroy commercial fishing and potential drilling and mineral collection in a vast expanse of our waters.

Taking over states’ lands and the oceans. Slowly destroying jobs and economies. You will only survive if the government allows you to survive. And then not in a good way.

      • kanaughty says:

also, how is this legal. in hawaii they have this law where everything off the treeline on a beach belongs to hawaiians. it was a way to pay hawaiians back for taking their land. no beach in hawaii is private because of that. so shouldn’t all the waters around hawaii also only belong to hawaiians? i don’t know. he does whatever he can to make sure we know he is in our lives and i find that annoying. i want a president where i don’t even know he or she is there. i want gov out of our lives and for them to abide by the constitution and only do things that are constitutional. he’s an ass. and i hope the native hawaiians take him to court for taking away a means to a living for them.

  12. taw46 says:

True, but still a depressing read this morning.

I got a couple of butt-hurt SJW comments on my post about the Dragon Awards.
I think I may have hurt some feeelings.

I mentioned it to some clfa writers and they started responding.

Delete is your friend if you don’t want the hassle… although it does seem like a er, lively discussion. I will admit I am a comment-whore and only delete overt self promotion and attacks on other commenters, so I’d probably let the discussion stand too, and sit back and watch and laugh.

I can go over and call you a meanie if you like!😀

      • votermom says:

LOL. No, it’s fun to read. I only hope I don’t get to be the target of a “she’s a scammer / spammer” attack to make blogger shut me down.

        • kanaughty says:

yeah, i’ve deleted, blocked that person, then reposted. like it never happened. and if other trolls keep at it, i keep blocking them. and this all has to happen before they get so irritated that they screen capture it. that’s the key. i have more people on my block list than people who follow me.

i don’t have time for the clueless to be jerks on my timeline. they will never get it. i’ve been on both sides, both a clueless sheeple liberal, and now a more informed independent, so i don’t have time for people who are rooted in their sides without thinking of all sides or even being common sensicle.

like you can’t just shut down all the power plants because we still need power, more babies born everyday, it has to be gradual and replacing at the same time. but there are actually liberals out there who think we can just shut them all down right now and still be a first world nation and they can still charge their iphones, laptops, and power their home. they are selfish and think a shutdown of all won’t effect them.

so it’s illogical stuff like this that i don’t have time for. people not thinking things through fully and clearly. morons.

          • Somebody says:

Haha Kanaughty I have a proggie friend like that who thinks we need to ban all fossil fuels. To top it off she jets to exotic locations around the world a couple of times a year for vacation, smh. She and her husband will eat beans and rice so they can vacation like royalty a couple of times a year. The disconnect between her lifestyle and the policies she espouses are mind boggling. She’s HARD left, so too is her husband……I can only handle them in small doses and remain polite.

Holy cow I actually just saw a Trump tv ad on tv!

    • foxyladi14 says:

Hill has been wasting a lot of donor dollars.
      Trump is not wasteful.
      I like that!! 😀

      • Constance says:

Trump is also not paying off the media like they expect to be paid off during an election. The media expect to get rich off ad buys during election year and they like to think they are “king makers”. I hope he wins just to put the media companies in their place.

Chris Christie just kicked Martha’s ass on ABC. Reminded me of how good he is at taking people down.

    • votermom says:

Saw that. What an annoying twit Martha is, with that quiver of righteous indignation in her voice at all times. Maybe she has nodules in her throat.

  17. Mothy67 says:

Ann Coulter was a part of the Rob Lowe Roast on Comedy Central last night- to air late. She will also appear on Chelsea Handler’s Netflix show. Love or hate her she is fearless.

Yesterday we impulsively (I had practically no heads up) went to the free kids day at the US Open with hubby and Kid the Younger. (Hubby is an avid tennis player who never managed to pass it along to the kids).
It was fun to see some pros practicing including Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal.
My, that young man Nadal – like a Greek god in person. *fans self*

  21. Dora says:

So, does this mean he wants to keep them around?

    • Somebody says:

I listened to an interview of Gary Johnson on “The Five”. Some of his ideas are real head scratchers. I think half the people supporting him just have their ass on their shoulders because Trump is the R nominee.

      • Mothy67 says:

Everone I know wants legal pot. Mostly young parents. Getting high is more important than national security????? I don’t even think cops bother with personal use any more.

        • Anthony says:

Actually, I prefer it to remain illegal. Once the gov’t starts regulating it, prices will go up and the quality will totally suck. They’re already regulating the amount of THC “allowed”, and its pretty low.

Thankfully, we’re so broke as a nation that the black market will continue to thrive and there will still be decent weed out there🙂

      • Anthony says:

He’s all about open borders, amnesty and outsourcing/globalism. Just as bad as HRC, but try explaining that to one of those moronic NeverTrumpers who are vowing to vote for him because Trump didn’t kiss their ass and “earn their vote”. Idiots.

I got nuttin from radio show.
    Will listen to archive later.

    • Shez ZK says:

Try again Mothy, please! It can take a minute for the audio-bar to actually load. I usually have to refresh the page one more time to get the audio to start playing. Helen is on the phone right now. A few of us are logged in to the chatroom having fun.

I still have my original BlogTalkRadio account, but some peeps log in with Twitter or FB. Otherwise, if not logged in you automatically end up in the chat as “Guest” and can watch us chat while you listen to the show. (For anyone wondering about BTR) I find the interaction in the chat half the fun of the show.

    • CiscoKid says:

Come on Mothy! I had nothing to say and I blabbed on and on.

during the conversation about oppression in this country compared to other countries, I had this thought. Unless you were in the military or had a job that took you around the world, as an American you really do not understand. The last war we had in this country was the civil war. Lucky enough we have had generations that not faced war in their own neighborhood. When is the last time we have had to face long term hardship? Fight someone for a crust of bread or a drink of water. Frankly I think we should be thanking God for that and not whining about oppression. but that is just me

Two Dead, Dozens Injured in Louisiana Bus Crash – Illegal Alien Driver W/out License…
