Fair Game Open Thread

Donald Jr. posted this to his Instagram account. All three of the Trump siblings in the picture are adults. By the modern rules of warfare politics, that makes it fair game.

A lot of the reactions were mean spirited, and some were downright sick and disgusting. Those reactions say more about the people that posted them than they do about the Trump kids.

But some of them were kinda funny.

I’m not defending the lying, but since when do a candidate’s supporters and campaign staff get this kind of scrutiny?

    • Somebody says:

When they support or work for a republican or when they challenge the media preferred democrat candidate……see Joe the Plumber and a long list of others.

I was at a party yesterday with close to 100 people, the subject of the presidential race came up several times with different groups. The one common denominator was disdain for the media and media coverage, even the two Clinton supporters said the media bias was over the top. Although one (my sister) quickly followed up that assessment with her opinion that it was necessary due to in essence Hitler running, which then set off a shit storm……..I admit to being the number one shit slinger once she made that initial blow.

Anyway, most everyone said they have just tuned out the media because they’ve jumped the shark and they can’t stand listening to them. Interestingly, all these people that have tuned out the media are still quite aware of various events from online sources. Another interesting tidbit, most follow a blog or news site online but if there is something important they prefer to go to the source……a party full of people that had downloaded the recent FBI release and read it, LOL! Most had the FBI documents on their smart phones, LOL! Same goes for speeches, rather than take someone’s word for what either candidate said they had read transcripts of various speeches or watched them unfiltered online……yet these are all people the media would consider low information voters. They all also reported that they were much happier unplugging and planned to stay that way.

As for the two Clinton supporters, my sister is beyond redemption, she practically worships the Clintons……but she lives in CA so I don’t think her vote will really matter in the long run. The Floridian at the party that was a Clinton supporter is an avid CNN viewer and was shocked to find themselves in a large crowd of Trump supporters that weren’t rabid racists. That person is definitely reachable, hopefully we got through. My sister the Clinton fan girl might have helped by jumping the shark herself.

….. and of course CNN used a black journalist to make the smear… What a coinkidink.

Oh, and that ‘journalist’ was couldn’t remotely hide his glee at what he was doing….

After trading the Pastor’s FULL apology and acknowledgment – the dickishness of the journalist does seem even more obvious.

If you want to talk about “gaming the system”, let’s look at those on public assistance. Having worked with PA recipients for the last 25 years, I can tell you that I learnd more from clients on how to game the system than I ever thought existed. This is said with no judgment. Just with recognition that the so-called rich Ms Benedikt has called out, have nothing on those who struggle to survive.

    • lateblum says:

Also, I wonder just how eager Ms Benedikt is to send her kids to a mediocre school to have a mediocre education and subsequently a substandard life following. Or, does she have no children ?

      • blowme0bama says:

If I had to bet, I’d guess she one of those childless “journ-O-list”s who opine / scold on children’s welfare.

      • 49erDweet says:

Was surprised to see in Linkedin she is quoted as having two kids currently in public school plus a preschool toddler. Strange disconnect.

        • lateblum says:

Weren’t you smart to look her up on linked in !
I wonder how long having her kids in public schools will last. Where does she live? I had my children in public school until I recognized that the different expectations of the AA students as well as the behaviors that were accepted from them and labeled unacceptable from the rest of the students. Then, the learning process became so disrupted that I, who support public education, removed them from the public schools and enrolled them in private school (new students were not admitted in the lab/magnet school during the school year). What a disappointment for my family.

  13. Dora says:

Hillary lets children ask her questions for $2,700 apiece!

Maybe the media should pose as children with a stacks of 27 $100 bills in little their outstretched hands so they, too, can have an audience with the queen.

I think it could be “white nationalism”. That is the new word to insert into every discussion this week so I should get points for using it in a sentence and inserting the phrase into a discussion. Don’t you all think I am smart and virtuous now? Apparently the media don’t realize how idiotic they all look with their approved talking points and phrases.

    This looks good

Robbie Bowman is a U.S. Army veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan troubled by guilt and sorrow. He is looking for his missing sister, the only family he has left, and for redemption and peace. Bowman finds himself in a small town in New Mexico, where he is arrested for a brutal double murder, which triggers chilling memories of other deaths for which he feels responsible. Circumstance and his guilty conscience drive him to take on those responsible for the murders. His survival skills and combat prowess will be tested as he finds himself in a mortal struggle with vicious drug traffickers and their allies. But not all of the good guys are blameless, and not all of the bad guys are evil. He must use his judgment as well as his fighting skills.

    I, The Jury:

“No, Charlotte, I’m the jury now, and the judge, and I have a promise to keep. Beautiful as you are, as much as I almost loved you, I sentence you to death.”

(Her thumbs hooked in the fragile silk of the panties and pulled them down. She stepped out of them as delicately as one coming from a bathtub. She was completely naked now. A suntanned goddess giving herself to her lover. With arms outstretched she walked toward me. Lightly, her tongue ran over her lips, making them glisten with passion. The smell of her was like an exhilarating perfume. Slowly, a sigh escaped her, making the hemispheres of her breasts quiver. She leaned forward to kiss me, her arms going out to encircle my neck.)

The roar of the .45 shook the room. Charlotte staggered back a step. Her eyes were a symphony of incredulity, an unbelieving witness to truth. Slowly, she looked down at the ugly swelling in her naked belly where the bullet went in. A thin trickle of blood welled out.

I stood up in front of her and shoved the gun into my pocket. I turned and looked at the rubber plant behind me. There on the table was the gun, with the safety catch off and the silencer still attached. Those loving arms would have reached it nicely. A face that was waiting to be kissed was really waiting to be splattered with blood when she blew my head off. My blood. When I heard her fall I turned around. Her eyes had pain in them now, the pain preceding death. Pain and unbelief.

    “How c-could you?” she gasped.

I only had a moment before talking to a corpse, but I got it in.

    “It was easy,” I said.

Properitus, Trump may have used his money to buy influence in years past that is true. However now the elites are lining up against him. The dems, many republicans and most in the media. Right now he is definitely an outsider.

    • Constance says:

Trump is an outsider when it comes to politics. He does have management skills and he can define projects, bid them out, change direction if needed, cut waste and bring the project in on time. I’d love to see what he can do for us.

So I went to the warehouse club (BJ’s) today for a few staples. It’s weekend so they had samples.
First sample – chicken tenders made of grain and tofu. WTH?
    Second sample – kale pizza.
They’re trying to kill me for sure.
Even the ice cream sample was actually low-fat yogurt.
