Is It Okay To Fat-Shame A Fattie?

The media is at it again.

Who’s Alicia Machado, the Woman Trump Allegedly Called ‘Miss Piggy’?

Donald Trump went after former Miss Universe Alicia Machado again Tuesday, calling her “the worst we ever had — the worst, the absolute worst.”

“She gained a massive amount of weight, and it was a real problem,” Trump said in a post-debate interview with FOX News.

Trump’s new broadside against Machado came a day after Hillary Clinton — during Monday’s first presidential debate — ripped the Republican nominee for calling the former beauty queen “Miss Piggy” and “Miss Housekeeper.”

Still apparently stung, Trump said the Clinton campaign “found the girl and talked about her like she was Mother Theresa.”

Machado was 19 when she won the Trump-owned beauty pageant in 1996 while representing Venezuela.

In an interview with Inside Edition in May, Machado claimed Trump publicly called her an “eating machine” on “The Howard Stern Show.” Machado said Trump told her she needed to lose weight and even brought her to a gym with a media crew in tow.

Machado also said Trump made fun of her Venezuelan accent.

Trump has repeatedly denied accusations levied at him by a host of women about his allegedly boorish behavior and sexist cracks. He has also been called out for calling Mexicans “rapists” and other remarks that have been blasted as anti-Hispanic.

“Machado claimed”

“Machado said”

Machado also said”

Oh my! She also claims that Trump gave her an eating disorder. It’s probably his fault she posed for Playboy too.

But wait! There’s more!

Machado recently became a U.S. citizen and has been actively campaigning for Clinton.

Nope, no bias here.

Let’s jump into the wayback machine and see what was being said wayback then.

Expanding Miss Universe works to shed pounds

When Alicia Machado of Venezuela was named Miss Universe nine months ago, no one could accuse her of being the size of the universe. But as her universe expanded, so did she, putting on nearly 60 pounds.

Indeed, the reigning Miss Universe learned the hard way that an extra 15 or 20 pounds can gain you a ton of publicity. But now she’s determined to shed at least 15 pounds, though the loss of her Miss Universe crown is no longer an issue.

“Some people when they have pressure eat too much. Like me. Like Alicia,” said Donald Trump, the executive producer of the Miss Universe Pageant.

Since winning the crown, the former Miss Venezuela went from 118 pounds to — well — a number that kept growing like the size of the fish that got away.

And as her weight grew, so did reports that Kellogg had canceled a deal for her to appear on boxes of Special K in Venezuela or that Kellogg modified her body on the box. But a Kellogg spokesman said the contract simply expired in December and that they were “real pleased” with the promotion.

“I don’t eat Kellogg’s and for this maybe I gain weight,” the young Machado said simply.

Rumors also surfaced that she might be forced to give up her Miss Universe crown.

But Trump, as co-owner of rights to the pageant, said he would never let that happen. “We had a choice of: termination or do this,” he said. “We wanted to do this.”

The pageant’s meaning of “do this” was for Machado to get her weight down to about 130 pounds. At a recent photo op, Machado — hardly a blimp at 5-foot-7 — pedaled a stationary bicycle and jumped rope in front of a pack of photographers and reporters who could themselves use a little training.

“A lot of you folks have weight problems. I hate to tell you,” Trump told the rowdy pool of reporters.

See what a boorish sexist pig Trump is?

How do you say “They photoshopped the living FUCK out of my mid-section for this picture!”?\\

    Hope I didn’t trigger anything…..

(Speaking of “triggering”, this sign was at Hofstra until Fox News took a pic and mentioned it in their broadcast)

Alicia is a bit on the hefty side for a beauty queen. I have a friend who a few decades ago was a dead ringer for Ana Nicole Smith. She was a California beauty queen. She also was extraordinarily curvy by the standards then. Pepsi dropped her like a hot potato when she gained 5 pounds. This is the pageant world. Sponsors do not have to pay you to advertise their products if you are not exactly what they hired on paper. The pageant world is a business. That said, Alicia is what the average Latinos refer to as llena. That means she’s filled to the brim. Some might take that as a mean insult, but it isn’t.

    • mcnorman says:

From Wikipedia: During 2004–2005, she pursued a career as a TV commercial model with particular success in promoting a dieting product. In 2005,

Seems like there have been issues with weight.

  2. Lulu says:

When gaining weight interferes with the duties you were contracted (beauty pageants have CONTRACTS) to do it isn’t fat shaming. It is breach of contract. If she was having a problem porking out from stress she should have gotten help before she became a whale. Now whining and lying about it is tacky. Blaming Trump for your own lack of self control OR a medical/mental problem is typical. Is Hilary now the standard bearer and main attraction for all blame shifters?

    • mcnorman says:

Back in the day, they had weigh ins. Yup, if you deviated from your weight + or – 5lbs from contract weight you were given a probation period. If you didn’t get back tot he hired weight within a prescribed period, you were dropped. Ice Capades did it. Dance companies and their affiliated professional schools did it. It’s part of the package.

Reports are arguing that an NBC Intern was seen delivering a package to Clinton’s campaign headquarters in New York. Given Hillary’s troubles with emails, it makes perfect sense that they would deliver their information by hand to avoid hacking or getting caught.

It may be true that the debate was “staged”. When HRC began her first response (I only “watched” th0e first 30 -40 minutes), I thought she was reading a prepared opening statement and not a response to a question. Then I thought, “No. There was a question, but that isn’t what she’s responding to. When she finally launched into the answer to the question I knew I’d heard asked, I said to myself she’d been primed. I still believe that.

Note: 1996’s Miss Universe Winner Really Did Gain So Much Weight In Her Year of Reigning That Even CNN Had to Fat-Shame Her Ass

Hillary tossed this out in her last big Oppo File dump at the end of the debate — that Trump had allegedly called a former Miss Universe “Miss Piggie” and criticized her for her weight gain.

So did CNN, at the time.

She’d gained 60 pounds during her year of reigning as Miss Universe — obviously not the weight she’d won the contest at — and apparently was in danger of losing sponsorships.

Apparently we’ve now reached that phase of Political Correctness and Fat Acceptance Celebration that even beauty contest winners, contractually obligated to, you know, look like the person who won the crown, can’t be critiqued about their beauty.

The problem with the debate last night, was that Hillary turned what was supposed to be a debate about issues and policies, into a snark fest of insults. As soon as she started the ” he was RICHIE RICH, and I was poor ” whining litany, a lot of heads had to readjust their thinking and wonder where she was going with that, and it turned out to be a place most people didn’t want to go.
The snark fest is why people are disgusted with politics and politicians, she proved to most people that she is exactly what they don’t want.
Trump came off as sincerely wanting to fix things that a great many people know are wrong. Hillary came off as ” I want to win” .

  10. Constance says:

I was also thinking Hillary’s handlers did a very good job of freshening her up while she was out of public view. Having once been a supporter of Hillary and a person who would really like to see a woman President I really don’t want to see her fall apart or just be embarrassing. I want her to look like a respectable candidate but I want Trump to win. That will advance the cause of women in politics IMO.

  11. Somebody says:

I think Trump should shut up about the former Miss Universe and let surrogates handle it.

I do agree it was a contractual thing, 60 pounds is NOT a small weight gain and his statements quoted from the CNN article don’t sound harsh……..but let it go Donald, don’t give the Clinton camp sound bites…….let it go.

    • mcnorman says:

and the lena dunhams as well

      Let it go.

      • Somebody says:

Worse just a little while ago at a forum in Little Havana he said at the end he was going to bring up Bill’s women but didn’t feel right about it with Chelsea there so he held back.

OMFG, do NOT talk about Bill’s women. OK, sure there is a story there with the way Hillary demonized any woman that spoke up, but for god’s sake let surrogates make that fucking point.

DO NOT try to shame or blame Hillary for Bill’s zipper issues, DO NOT. That will do nothing but put Hillary in her sweet spot……victim, she loves to be the victim.

I thought Trump had better instincts than that. Whatever instinct that made him think Bill’s infidelities are in any way Hillary’s fault needs to be repressed, that instinct belongs in a junior high locker room maybe but NOT on a debate stage.

        • lyn says:

Trump didn’t bring it up, but some people think Hillary is not to be trusted because she stayed with Bill.

          • Somebody says:

Trump should just steer clear of that topic, IMO

          • lyn says:

Yep. He needs to let Hillary be the petty one.

          • Somebody says:

I would add the caveat that if by some wild chance rape came up during a debate and Hillary said all women should be believed……..that would be the ONLY appropriate circumstance I can think of where he could say something to the effect…..all women except your husband’s accusers right Hillary.

Precisely because of the history, I doubt anything close to such a topic will come up.

        • mcnorman says:

I had suspected that was what he was going to talk about. It’s a no go. What he needs is someone to help him direct the focus of how she treats women onto the debate without bringing up Bill “dicking bimbos.”
Hillary brings out the worst in him. I think that is the case for Bill as well. It’s that adage about everytime you hear her voice calling, it sounds exactly like your ex. It’s just something that he should try to avoid. He’s been through divorce and he should keep that thought in mind.

        • 1539days says:

  12. Shez ZK says:

The funniest poll I’ve seen was at the Washington Times. It had Lester Holt getting 303 (2%) votes for winning the debate. LOL I’m surprised he didn’t get more!

One clip I haven’t seen yet was of a subtle thing that happened when Trump was talking at one point. When he said the word ‘corruption’ his hand automatically waved towards Hillary. She’s implicitly corrupt was the clear message. But Miss Piggie is more important to whinge about.

Or that no drinking no drugs Trump is now a coke addict. You can’t help but laugh. Trump is authentic and they can’t buy that kind of sincerity. Hillary calls 2/3’s of America racist for the third time in less than a month. She can go fuck herself harder.

I have survived the day without having to run for a safe space. I needed to go to the bank to deposit a check and get cash for the week. The sidewalks, windows and buildings – even the mailbox and other benches were covered with lovely sayings – yes CHALKING in my own backyard. Plus what looked to be that glitter spray paint ? Such high brow comments such as: Dump Trump!; Trump Trumped!; F&** Trump!; Trump is a Wh*%$; Trump is a pig in a suit Oink Oink Oink! ; …and the biggest piggy ran crying wee wee wee all the way home from the debate (Now I see from the above comments that their is a reference point for those).

The manager of Starbucks was bitching at the one bank manager for trying to have the area between the bank and Starbucks cleared – it is free speech. The bank manager rolled her eyes and said if Mr Starbucks understood nothing else – just let her how Starbucks lunch take is going to compare with yesterday’s. Had a point. Starbucks and Pannera were mostly empty – at prime lunch time – Chick-fil-a, on the other hand, had also cleared their store as much as possible and had a line out the door. Seems customers did not want to sit on chalked chairs or eat at spray painted tables.

I guess they had that paint left over from spraying their cars about the school sports teams. It is an more upscale type neighborhood – so I was surprised because it is the kind of place where they will lecture total strangers about properly disposing coffee cups, lids and holders into the correct recycle container.

When I got back to the office, there were tickets for a concert to raise awareness of efforts to push Arlington to ban guns across the board. One of the reasons many do not consider residents of areas such as Northern Virginia to be real Virginian’s.

Just read it and I agree.

    • Constance says:

The thing is debate is sort of a sport for pale, squishy elitists and they know all the strategies and seem to really enjoy it. But the skills are so stylized and Kabuki-ized that they really don’t transfer to any real life situation. So it’s sort of like demanding that the candidates participate in windsurfing or lawn bowling. Being good at it means you are an elitist that spends too much time doing something that is largely a waste of time that middle classes don’t waste energy on. Trump is being a good sport by showing up. Being foreign to elitist traditions of the event is a plus for many voters.

    • Somebody says:

OMG give me a fucking break. Go find your safe space you whining, superficial bitch. PTSD? Seriously from somebody talking over you? That is really an insult to people that truly suffer from PTSD like some of our men and women in uniform or veterans, cancer survivors, domestic abuse, rape and violent crime survivors…..OMG this woman is whole new kind of stupid. What a load of tosh.

  16. NBD says:

Not only is it not wrong to “fat shame” a fattie, it is probably a moral obligation to do so. Actually, I’m waiting for the airlines to institute fattie free flights so that nobody gets stuck being seated next to the fat slobs who regularly show up at America’s airports.

    • Somebody says:

Well I think perhaps fattie is in the eye of the beholder. Airlines do require some people to pay for an extra seat if they don’t fit in the confines of a standard airline seat. If someone is overweight, but fits within the confines of their seat it’s really not any of the airline’s or your business. I understand your frustration I’ve been on flights where people infringe on my space, but that was before the new rules. Also, the last time it was a man and he wasn’t fat he was just yuuuuuge, like Schwarzenegger body builder huge.

The issue with Miss Universe was contractual, that is completely different than some kind of societal fat shaming……moral or not.

    • There is another show I won’t be watching anymore.

    • Somebody says:

I wont’ be watching. I’ve honestly had enough of Hollyweird telling ME what is normal.

My 5 year-old grand daughter just told me there is a 2nd grade boy who uses the girls bathroom “every day”. And that he sometimes won’t let the girls in or out of the bathroom by holding the door shut. I haven’t had the opportunity to talk about this with my son and DIL. Given the complete Progressive BS language they speak, I’m not certain they will care. But I care.

  17. Somebody says:

Heads up Crawdadders, apparently they’re going to take questions from the public for the next debate and use the ones that get the most votes. We need to get the word out.

Within that article which explains things is a link to this site which is where the questions are submitted and voted on.

We need to dominate, to make sure questions are asked that we feel should be asked.

Finally, honest camera work that show the size of the crowds.
