You Can’t Spell “Democrat” Without “Sleaze”

I was expecting something like this from the party of Lois Lerner:

Trump Tax Records Obtained by The Times Reveal He Could Have Avoided Paying Taxes for Nearly Two Decades

Donald J. Trump declared a $916 million loss on his 1995 income tax returns, a tax deduction so substantial it could have allowed him to legally avoid paying any federal income taxes for up to 18 years, records obtained by The New York Times show.

Mr. Trump declined to comment on the documents. Instead, the campaign released a statement that neither challenged nor confirmed the $916 million loss.

In response to a Times article revealing pages of his 1995 income tax records, Mr. Trump said, “The only news here is that the more than 20 year-old alleged tax document was illegally obtained.”

Separately, a lawyer for Mr. Trump, Marc E. Kasowitz, emailed a letter to The Times arguing that publication of the records is illegal because Mr. Trump has not authorized the disclosure of any of his tax returns. Mr. Kasowitz threatened “prompt initiation of appropriate legal action.”

Mr. Trump’s refusal to make his tax returns public — breaking with decades of tradition in presidential contests — has emerged as a central issue in the campaign, with a majority of voters saying he should release them. Mr. Trump has declined to do so, and has said he is being audited by the Internal Revenue Service.

At last Monday’s presidential debate, when Hillary Clinton suggested Mr. Trump was refusing to release his tax returns so voters would not know “he’s paid nothing in federal taxes,” and when she also pointed out that Mr. Trump had once revealed to casino regulators that he paid no federal income taxes in the late 1970s, Mr. Trump retorted, “That makes me smart.”

So, Hillary has been raising the issue of Trump’s taxes for months. Last Monday she alleged that Trump hasn’t paid taxes in years. Now someone has illegally leaked some of his alleged tax records to the New York Times.

So how, pray tell, did these documents find their way into NYT’s grubby little hands?

The documents consisted of three pages from what appeared to be Mr. Trump’s 1995 tax returns. The pages were mailed last month to Susanne Craig, a reporter at The Times who has written about Mr. Trump’s finances. The documents were the first page of a New York State resident income tax return, the first page of a New Jersey nonresident tax return and the first page of a Connecticut nonresident tax return. Each page bore the names and Social Security numbers of Mr. Trump and Marla Maples, his wife at the time. Only the New Jersey form had what appeared to be their signatures.

The three documents arrived by mail at The Times with a postmark indicating they had been sent from New York City. The return address claimed the envelope had been sent from Trump Tower.

I really fucking hate these people.

  3. DeniseVB says:

Obviously, Mr. Trump has a pretty complicated tax structure and hires a team of accountants and tax lawyers to oversee his money bags line by line. Even Mark Cuban says this is stupid. Even we have a tax guy to sort through the mumbo jumbo of our shoe box full of receipts. The past few years, we’ve had to produce proof of health insurance so we don’t have to pay the Obama penalty. So that’s another page to fill out and another few bucks to tax guy’s bill.

Dems are playing to their dumbass base who recoil in horror at Trump doesn’t pay taxes!! Oh he pays taxes all right, all year long, he just doesn’t OWE the IRS a check on April 15. Not to mention, the millions Trump properties generate to local economies all over the world.

I can safely say, Trump isn’t worried about this at all.

    • Ann says:

Hey, I know! If Trump shouldn’t have taken legal depreciation deductions on his taxes, that means Ma & Pa voter shouldn’t take legal deductions for mortgage, health care, spouse, children …

I knew his taxes would look like this because that is what ours look like… but ours are on a MUCH smaller scale. There were years we paid a butt-load in taxes, but once depreciation set in… not-so-much.

Don’t like it… have congress change it to a flat tax. Those real estate depreciation deductions? Be gone! Along with mortgage deductions, child care, health care…

      • jeffhas says:

“Don’t like it… have congress change it to a flat tax. Those real estate depreciation deductions? Be gone! Along with mortgage deductions, child care, health care…”

I wish this were his tax plan… Then, not only is it a great plan, it’s also the best argument regarding his current tax issues (if the NYT is to be believed).

    • Somebody says:

Well to be fair, whether he paid federal income tax or not he pays a boat load of taxes. He pays payroll taxes on all of his employees, he pays property taxes, his companies collect for the state a number of sales taxes, bed taxes, etc., etc.

      • DeniseVB says:

We peons can deduct our real estate and personal property taxes. Tax guy won’t let us deduct charitable donations unless it’s 7% of our total income. Even those bags of clothes I donate “can’t be claimed” towards the 7 % unless we kept the original receipts of those items. Though we have many friends who claim $50/bag and write it off, tax guy said, fine, do that, but you better have those receipts if you’re audited. He does assure us that’s a slim chance since the IRS mainly targets people in a way higher income bracket. “Are you feeling lucky?” LOL.

  4. DeniseVB says:

LOL, first post on my GAB feed this morning ….

Who gives a shit what taxes Trump paid as a civilian. he wasn’t enacting laws that stole more moneyh from hard working individuals. only retards think this means anything. hillary voters pay nothing in taxes and get back $5k at the end of the year per bastard child they have. fuck them #imdrunk

    • CiscoKid says:

I’m not drunk, yet, but I fully agree.

If the left wants to talk about taxes, let’s talk about:

    Clinton Global Initiative tax returns
The 6 Billion dollars that Hillary “lost” at the State Dept
And most of all, the fact that despite this exposed tax return of Trump’s, he gets audited constantly by the IRS and yet are the Clinton’s audited? Let’s tala bout Lois Lerner and Gollum Koskinen and how they only go after enemies of the party

    • If someone leaked Hillary’s tax returns showing that she broke the law all the media would care about is the fact that leaking them was illegal.

      • Constance says:

There is a big leak coming against Democrats because ABC’s morning talk show with George Snfulupagus held a whole 10 minute panel talk saying from now on all leaked e-mails against Dems will probably have a few fake and incriminating emails mixed in so they have to all be disregarded. Sort of foreshadowing the narrative.

  6. Somebody says:

I hope team Trump comes up with what their response is going to be and that Trump sticks to it. He doesn’t need to run down another rabbit hole. He gets really defensive when it comes to his money and his companies. I hope Melania takes his fucking phone away and locks it up when they go to bed too.

He needs to stay on message……don’t take the bait……focus…..steady as you go.

From the info I managed to pry from some interns I know, the tax returns that the NYT published were a joint return for Trump and Marla Maples that was submitted during their divorce.

I also read something about a month ago that Maples was threatening to do whatever she could to tank his campaign. Are the dots connecting? Or am I just out of my mind?

I have a book about this incident called “The Boys on the Tracks” written by Mara Leveritt. I doubt it is still available. When I read it years ago, it was shocking. I didn’t know much about Arkansas politics back then. By now though, not much about the Clintons surprises me at all. Unfortunately.

  18. jeffhas says:

My lesson from 2012 was that the polls end up being deadly correct…. At the end of the election….

… But before that, there are shenanigans with weighting and baited questions to develop the outcome and narrative the media wants… But about two weeks or certainly the last week, the polls get suddenly accurate so as not to lose any credibility.

So, when I see Clinton down, I know she’s REALLY losing… And when Trump is down, I wonder how much is manipulation, but I worry he is really down as well.

I think it’s clear he’s decided he’s going to forget ‘the script’, and go full Lion again… And I don’t care, in my opinion he is our only hope. So, I can’t watch TV anymore, or read the polls, etc… Because all of that is designed to destroy enthusiasm, which is where every Hillary supporter knows Trump is killing her.

The rallies, the Massive Republican Voter registrations, these are there if you want to see them, but the media will not report – they say “we show his rally speeches or highlights” – but they never show the size of the crowds or the lines..,

I just wonder if my lesson from 2012 is accurate, will the polls not just tighten but flip-flop to show Trump is in the lead? Or will they have done their intended job of creating a narrative the public and especially the independents will believe, thus the polls WILL become accurate… But I surely do believe the polls at the end will be accurate, and I do worry he will lose some independents in the process, but after looking at those rallies, and talking to people ‘in code’ or ‘in secret’ (I live in CA for christ’s sake) I cannot help but ‘believe’ there is a Trump wave coming that cannot be stopped.

I’m prepared again to wake up as in 2012 and realize I was wrong about my blind faith… but blind faith is all I got left, and they’ll have to pry that from my cold dead fingers.

(Side note: I live in California, and people become unhinged if you mention his name – being a Trump supporter is WORSE then being called a Racist, it’s like they found a word that means Racist+Rapist+Stoopid+Evil all at once, of course I don’t care, but the rapid-dog response is sad to see in people or friends. The zombie apocalypse is actually upon us, it’s not a virus, all you gotta do is say you support Trump).

    • Lulu says:

The rabid freakout by anti-Trumps is why they can’t poll accurately. They did the same thing in the UK over Brexit/Remain and the result was “shy” voters, people who flat out lied, and people refusing to be polled. Only poor, stupid, ignorant, racist, old people hicks supported Brexit (sound familiar and that is because Jim Messina ran that nasty campaign too as he did for Obama and now Hilary). The analysis of the Brexit vote is done now and it was middle class (of all races especially Hindus flipping from Labour) all over the country that voted Brexit. The more hysterical the Remainers got the more they lost the middle class in the UK who knew they were lying. And Nigel Farage is coming back to the US to advise Trump.

      • AFVet says:

Nigel Farage is an excellent debater.
There is another example of what Trump will do if he attains the Presidency.
Hire the best people available for the task at hand.
As Nigel proved, we outnumber them, and “them” are terrified.

    • Constance says:

I wish someone who could write clearly and brief would put together a statement we could all post on our facebooks saying basically “I am no longer a Democrat and identify as an Independent because of all the intolerance and name calling by Democrats. People who vote for someone you don’t support are not stupid, evil, Nazi, racist etc, they are simply Citizens with a different opinion than you. This is the USA, they are entitled to their vote and their opinion. Democrats, stop your endless and annoying virtue signaling, stop your intolerance of people with different beliefs and your name calling.” Of course this statement would need to be grammatically correct or Dems will note the flaw and disregard the thoughts.

I’ll wait and see, Assange has made such claims before. A lot of what he releases comes down to interpretation and the media also ignores revelations from wikileaks for the most part.

I’m still waiting for the Whitey tapes.

        • Mt.Laurel says:

I still say if there any videos/tapes/recordings it is more along the lines of laughing at how they have conned the stupid special interest voters they pretend to court and that global government is on the way. The elites already know the MSM does not give a hoot about what they perceive as fly over wasp country and their combined forces have spent untold $$$ trying to ensure that their point of view becomes the only view. The mythical whitey tapes are about as real as those unicorns that have been promised.

Rather like Hillary laughing over the poor young girl. Yes, it was her job to defend a horrible human being. The fact that she seemed to then (ans still does today) take pleasure in inflicting humiliation, degradation upon true victims and that she will take any measure to achieve her goals.

To these people everyone not in the inner circle is just so much collateral damage.

What I am not sure some of them realize is that if the puppeteers think tossing one of the chosen overboard is what is needed then Hill/Bill/BO/MO/VJ/Huma/Chelsea/whoever they will become as disposable as those they mock and find themselves being sacrificed to appease the global gods.

    • Lulu says:

It violated a court order too. The NY state (divorce?) court said no unless both parties of the joint return agreed to the release. To me this indicates Marla gave the returns to the NYT as they tried to get it OK’ed in a court first. For money? Anyway the NYSlimes published against a court order as well as violating numerous federal laws. The feds won’t do anything (for now anyway) but NY might if their courts are going to be ignored. Why have courts if media can just do whatever they want to anyone?

    • Somebody says:

Doesn’t Bill spend most of his time at the foundation offices in NYC? I suppose perhaps he travels back and forth some, but I doubt there is a whole lot happening in Little Rock.

Speaking of Little Rock and the WJC presidential library, have any of you ever been there? I have, I’ve been to lots of presidential libraries….I like to tour them. I was disappointed with WJC’s. It’s ugly from the outside, as you walk up to it to me it looks like a trailer in the sky or something, it’s odd and out of place in its surroundings. Inside the displays are difficult to read the way they are placed and the way the sunlight streams in there is a terrible glare.

My favorite part of the library I’m not even sure is a permanent exhibit. They had an exhibit about various presidential campaigns through the years and one part of the exhibit invites guests to stand in front of lectern and give JFK’s inaugural ask not what your country can do for you speech. There is a teleprompter and you’re being filmed and you get graded via a computer. I had a perfect score……nah, nah, nah!

Anyway that exhibit was the only part I really liked besides the mock oval office, but it’s roped off. Weird thing the gift shop is down the road, you have to take a trolley to go to the gift shop and talk about a cramped little store.

Oh well been there done that. I hope to see all the presidential libraries, but I might skip on Obama’s…….then again one day in the future it might be good for LOL’s. There are usually at least a few things in each presidential library that are LOL’s, it is after all THEIR version of their time in office.

      • Propertius says:

I assume Obama’s will be the only library on the planet with a driving range and a putting green.

      • lateblum says:

How funny. I just noticed that I posted a similar description of the trailer known as the Clinton Presidential Museum and Library at the same time as you. (My comment is down thread.) It made me smile to think we had the same take on the building. I went to the little gift shop. Yes it was quite cramped. That is where I. Et 2 Catholic nuns from Minnesota who were all agog about bronco bama. When they learned I was from the Chicago area, they were all over me to learn my take on him. So I gave it to them. I told them he was a fraud and a racist and lazy and had less integrity than any person in politics in my lifetime.
They were aghast and couldn’t get away from me fast enough. 😱😱
I thought some of the area around Little Rock was most beautiful and wondered all over again at the unsightly design of the Clinton Museum. I spent several days there and met so many lovely people. Some of them had transplanted themselves from the area where I live.

  26. 1539days says:

One thing I noticed about the SNL opener is that the Alec Baldwin played Trump as racist and bigoted. It was both ridiculous and very reminiscent of things Alec Baldwin himself has said about people.

The first road rip that I took by myself was in 2010 right after I bought my car. I went to Little Rock to visit the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum. I was taken aback when I saw that the museum looked like a huuuge trailer on stilts.

  30. OOPS!
