Lets Talk About It…

Just a reminder that The Crawdad Crew will be hosting a live two hour broadcast at 7pm Eastern, 4pm Pacific. Tune in, Call in, Speak out!

Well, I certainly didn’t expect things to turn out like this, and from the looks of Prog sites, neither did they lmao.  I still find it surreal.  It may take a few days to sink in.  This “exhaling” thing feels kinda new to me, and I can’t stop grinning…

Who really won:  We, The people.  The same people who watched the Democrats fold in 2008 after the Rules & Bylaws Committee took Hillary’s legitimate win and handed it over to a poser. In so many words, they told us we don’t matter.  At all.   Then, many just  followed like sheep or lemmings, and today are espousing the same shitty policies they objected to before they got their brains washed with KoolAid.  Those of us who refused to walk in lock step were deemed to be racists, bad apples, neocons, whip kissers and worse.

We remained stoic and immovable in our opinions, and finally, eight long fucking years later, we’ve prevailed.  This election marks the end of political elitism, special interests, and hopefully term limits as well.  We can’t sit back and rest on our laurels – both the right and the left are going to try to make this victory a failure, so we need to remain vigilant, vocal and fearless. But not right now – Now, we need to celebrate!

Follow this link to join our party.

In the meantime, I think we deserve at least one day to bask in our victory 🙂

I stayed up and watched Trump’s speech , slept awhile, woke up way too early, ate a nice hot bowl of cream of wheat, and was waiting to hear Hillary, when I fell asleep on the couch for hours, and missed it! Then I had to go out to pay my water bill. But I will be awake for our post election celebration!
It might be part sleep deprivation, but I feel as if I am floating around on a little cloud. Chunking out a sizable amount of change for my quarterly H2o bill didn’t put a dent in it. I feel as if this country has a future for my children, and their children.
I am trying to be gracious to people on my FB feed who are upset, but some of them are just ridiculous. I guess the prospect of certain someones not going to jail for refusing to bake a cake is just too much to bear. So I am refraining from saying anything to quite a few people.
One thing that bothered me, was a gay friend taking a Huffinglue article titled ” What Do We Tell The Children?” to heart.

This article is about teachers. It reflects that collectivism that Anthony wrote about , and left me wondering why these teachers feel the need to usurp the roles of the parents.

    • elliesmom says:

A good teacher gives no indication whatsoever where her political sympathies lie. It’s like teaching about religion without teaching kids to be religious. It’s really not that hard a thing to do. You just have to rational instead of emotional.

  6. Ima be there, but I might be participating via bluetooth in my car. (Gotta go to another Indiana area for work tomorrow.) Does that make you hot, Anthony? LOL

This might be my favorite tweet of the day.

The real Nate Silver did indeed double down about an hour after this tweet was posted.

  7. Constance says:

The financial markets seem to be adjusting just fine. The DOW is up 240 or 1.3%. This morning when I looked Health care stocks and amo and gun manufacturers were down while building materials and engineering and oil companies were up.

  8. Constance says:

I’m pretty eager to see how the new Republicans and new Democrats position themselves. I have never trusted political parties and have always been an independent but I know many of you were Democrats so I’m wondering if you are now Republicans, Independents or after the purge if you will want to go back to being Dems. I used to vote mostly Dem last night I voted mostly Republican.

    • lateblum says:

I went from being an “almost lifelong” Democrat to being independent. I say “almost lifelong” because I did, a few times, wander off the ranch to vote for others. I plan to stay independent. I think I’m socially liberal but fiscally conservative. I truly cannot be a party girl ever again.

    • taw46 says:

I was a registered Dem, but started voting for R’s in 2008. In March I changed my registration to R so I could vote in the R primary. Florida has closed primaries. I will never go back to being a Dem, too many Socialists/Marxists/Commies for me. Will I stay a Republican? Maybe. I will wait and see what happens with our new President. But right now I don’t care about the parties after all I learned these last 8 years. Independent at heart.

    • kanaughty says:

Was a dem because of bill clinton, the first prez i could vote for. But in 2008 i became an indy, yet on my voter cards it a way less sexy label of “unaffiliated”.

      • DeniseVB says:

Love that Virginia is an Open State. For primaries, I just ask for the Dem or Repub ballot during the primaries, and all the rest of the times, just vote for who ever I damn well please. Don’t have to register by party and it’s very freeing. 😀

    • elliesmom says:

I don’t need to register as a member of a political party for more than 5 minutes to vote in a primary so I don’t see any value to declare myself.

  9. DeniseVB says:

    And so it begins ….

  10. lateblum says:

I was excited to learn of tonight’s broadcast. Just minutes after opening this window my PC monitor went to black. Then a message appeared on my screen AND on my speakers that my hard drive would be completely destroyed (wiped clean) if I didn’t call and 888 number that was on the message. ANd that my computer had been infected with a virus that needed immediate attention. So I shut down my computer when the clock on the screen began to count down from 5:00 minutes. I’m not certain how to respond to this. Does anyone know what I should do? I have Norton anti-virus and I have it set up to routinely scan and respond to viruses. A few things have been isolated in the past. Nothing recently.
Was this a hoax? Has anyone ever had this experience?
    Help. Please.
    Thank you.

  14. ginainmo says:

This is a well written piece that really speaks to me. It was written by Chris Stigall, who used to be on talk radio in KC, and is now on in Philly.

    • lateblum says:

gina, this writer really nailed it for me as well. I think I’ve been pretty judgmental of the people who have voiced concern, dismay, downright terror at the election of
Trump. And it’s because they anticipate what we have experienced for the past 8 years. I no more want another term of that overreach into my life or the lives of others than I want to be audited by the IRS.
Thank you for finding this and for sharing it. I’m saving it to give to my daughter and my dil. They have both been brainwashed by the Dems to think their life will be basically unrecognizable starting Jan 20. They need to see this.

    • Constance says:

      I agree with that too.

  15. lateblum says:

Watching FNC just now. Maybe it’s “the five”.
I think Juan Williams is trying to get back his old job with NPR. He has not only thrown up the Racist card against DJT, he has also said the Asian Americans and the Hispanics who voted for DJT are “uncomfortable giving power to a woman”. He is truly a small minded person with major prejudices.

I think the Lady is in need of attention.

  17. 1539days says:

The Democrats are still firmly in denial. They’re still trying to bully Trump into healing the country and softening the rhetoric or whatever. Every time they tried to shame him, he doubled down and he still won. You can’t threaten him. Democrats can either figure out how to salvage whatever power they have or get rolled over.

I think that’s one thing Trump did over McCain and Romney. Both of those candidates tried to woo Democrats by ignoring the Republican base as soon as they won the nomination. Trump was more like Reagan. When he ran in the general election, he gave the same message and said if you want to join, you can.

    • A true leader doesn’t say “Tell me where you want to go so I can lead you there”. He/she says “This is where we need to go, follow me” and people follow.

    • Lulu says:

This is classic passive aggressive bullying. Now they are trying to control with their “virtue” which is baloney. All of that unity, bipartisanship, etc only goes one way and only for their benefit. Obama was one of the nastiest “winners” ever. They need to shut it and be told “you lost for a reason and now you are going to see WHY you lost.” It is their turn to shut up and get out of the way.

    • Democrats are in denial. Beware. The next stage is of grief is anger.

      • 1539days says:

Voting Trump only gave the White House to Republicans. There’s still a lot of work. There’s the Democrats, the anarchists, the NeverTrumpers and the GOPe who are going to look for chinks in the armor. The “culture” still aligns more with the transsexual bathroom crowd that the MAGA crowd. New York could spend the next two months trying to indict Trump for the university or the Trump foundation.

        It’s only the beginning.

  18. DeniseVB says:

I just remembered …. I’m going to the Inauguration !!!! Made my room and train reservation last January! I just knew it, I had a feeling before the primaries even started !

OK, “going to the Inauguration” means standing on the frosty National Mall for 12 hours, not quite picking out a ball gown…… 😉 My other goal is to have a cocktail in the new Trump DC Hotel lounge.

Here’s why Hillary lost. LGBT idiots are whining because Trump / Pence might not allow men to put on a dress and stare at women in bathrooms.

  27. kanaughty says:

I am watching cnn for entertainment right now and van jones is so melodramatic and just a douche.

    • kanaughty says:

And van jones saying the deplorables have turned into the establishment they were fighting against because some muslim woman he supposedly talked to said she thought she would end up in an internment camp. Sorry but i don’t think deplorables would have been out there protesting tonight because they fought with their vote and now it’s over. And did any of you ever hear of trump supporter protests ever in this election like this where we’d clog streets? No that didn’t happen van jones because deplorables think differently and know elections have consequences and respect all that is our constitution.

      • kanaughty says:

And lastly, it’s obama’s job to somehow end these protests by charisma or whatever before they last days and days and start to get out of hand. He needs to be the constitutional professor he claims to be to these protesters on big screen or whatever it takes. It’s his job to calm a protest before it gets out of hand making our voted in president elect illigitimate. He needs to end this mob minority alinsky rule.

  28. Dora says:

I guess there will always be morons.

  29. kanaughty says:

These protesters are so brainwashed by what the clinton campaign and the media called him, you know all those ists and phobes. These are sheep.
