Other than cooking a turkey tomorrow, we’re having a quiet weekend so I’ll be around for holiday duty if needed 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving to all and your loved ones!

What a freakin’ twit. He wants to be a teacher for crying outloud. He’s a mess. Sometimes, I reach a point where I’m thinking a draft would fix a lot of these useful idiots.

drill sergeants would have a field day with these fools
        can you imagine the conversations?
I need my safe space sergeant.
hit the ground and give me 150 pushups and maybe you can dig your safe space with your nose

  2. DeniseVB says:

    Of course THIS ONE ….

    • CiscoKid says:

      A classic!
I saw the original broadcast, but I still laugh.
“As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly”
      “Like bags of wet cement”
      “Oh, the humanity”
Never old, still laugh when I hear it.
ps: I still think Bailey was the sexiest.
      I know, I’m a deplorable sexist.

Not all Thanksgiving eps are about turkey! The frilliant Bob Newheart (1972)

Trigger *warning* This could never be shown today, surprised it hasn’t been scrubbed from youtube. What a shame !

Ben Carson accepts HUD position. It’s all coming together. Fuck the obots

  10. DeniseVB says:

Typical Thanksgiving at DeniseVB’s home 😛

  11. I was looking for a Thanksgiving video and I got distracted by this documentary:

I’m on part 4 right now. It’s simultaneously horrifying and inspiring to see what those Marines went thru. Most of them were just kids.

  12. DeniseVB says:

    Stay classy Rosie.

    • Anthony says:

I should be shadow banned in about three seconds…

      • DeniseVB says:

There were harsher comments on that thread. But I loved yours the mostest 🙂

My Special Greg wasn’t diagnosed til he was two, but had many “well meaning” people ask me “is there something wrong with your son? he doesn’t seem quite right”. This was in the mid 70’s, we moms of special kids were forced to stay in perpetual denial and in the “closet”. Those nosy noses were hurtful. I think it was Nixon who passed a law that mainstreamed our kids into public schools and out of “institutions” aka, closets of shame. SG will be 43 this Feb.

        • Anthony says:

I was really buzzed when I tweeted that. Good god….. Well, too late now – the cat is out of the bag 😀

What incensed me about her tweet about Barron is that it was clearly “concern trolling” about someone else’s child, when her own daughter had to run away from home to get away from her.

I’ve been working with autistic and dyslexic children since the 90’s. I developed an after school art/music program that helps them express themselves without being self-conscious because of societally imposed stereotypes and stigmatizing. In a month or so, these children are communicating better and more confidently, and those on the mid to high functioning end of the spectrum exhibit improved interpersonal skills almost immediately because of their confidence. The program is designed to specifically address stimulus overload, so it has to be fine tuned to each child’s threshold, yet still remain inclusive enough so all can benefit at the same (or similar) rate.

Parents are a little harder to deal with, so I refer them to another colleague who is trained and skilled to help parents overcome their own issues in caring for special needs children, both reality based as well as personal/emotional conflicts. I’ve learned so much from both the children and their parents, and have finally trained art and music teachers in two NYC private schools to implement the program. Both behavior and self-confidence continue to improve for these children and their parents.

And, in a nutshell, that’s why Rosie can go fuck herself.

          • Anthony says:

❤ you right back! Happy Thanksgiving!

          • lateblum says:

Bless you, Anthony. I wish there had been your kind of help available when I was struggling with my third child. I just kept getting told, ” It’s all in your head. There’s nothing wrong with her.” Then when she finally made it to middle school, I was told her problems were my fault and that I should’ve done more. Im still furious with those professionals who jones with my husband who said everything was “normal” except for my “imagining” something was wrong.

        • mothy67 says:

Six years ago I had a very limited understanding of autusm. Twerp has a kid in her class that I guess is high functioning(not sure of correct terminology). First few months were confusing for me, but not kid. Now he is just Connor. 5th grade. Shudder to think in the past he would have been isolated. Small school and no one views him as handicapped. He’s just Connor. They’re all brats at 10/11.

      • votermom says:

Trump is right. Rosie is a disgusting pig.

      • swanspirit says:

Rosie is deserving of every nasty thing anyone has ever said about her. I had almost forgotten how really reprehensible the left can be. And then I remembered the tsunami of disgusting that the left unleashed on Sarah Palin and her children They lost the moral high ground so long ago. They dug themselvesna pit of filth, and they wallow in it. How many on the left will disavow thus creationist vermin’s attack on a beautiful innocent child.

    • Constance says:

I’ve heard a lot of people speculate that based on his behavior the night of Trumps election. The film was taken around 2:30 am and the kid is 10 years old. He is also tall so everyone thinks he is older.
Another thing, Melania strikes me as a perfectly well adjusted SHY person. I know Trumps other kids are not shy but just possibly Baron is. He also was not likely happy about the prospect of having to move into a place that probably looks like a smallish dump to him and change schools. Get over it rosie and other mouthy Libs.

      • 1539days says:

That speculation has been on Uppity’s blog for days now. They’re also excited about the computer scientists who think the electronic voting machines were hacked, then walked it back and said the polls just might have been wrong.

        • lateblum says:

Thanks for the UW update. I haven’t visited since a couple days after the election. It was depressing and hopelessly crazy so I decided to return another day.

          • Anthony says:

I saw the “hopelessly crazy” but for some reason, I didn’t get depressed… I have no problem with UW, but a couple of her co-bloggers messed with me when I was writing for her. Looks like those same (2) are really going batshit crazy now. I couldn’t be more delighted about that.

          • lateblum says:

I wasn’t depressed by it. Their tone was depressing – and I’m pretty sure those you’re referring to were the ones who were so ugly to me personally on Twitter. Except NES. She wasn’t mean to me. We were both disappointed in the choices of one another. I think she and I can still be okay.

After the infamous WKRP Flying Turkey fiasco, this was my mother’s favorite Thanksgiving TV episode (she found the whole concept of making fake meat because you did not eat meat very odd):

    • lateblum says:

This was just wonderful. I’m having dinner while watching, and nearly choking on my food from laughter. I’ve never seen this one before and I love it. I’m saving this one for sure. Plus I’m gonna have my girls watch it tomorrow and let them know just how lucky they are having real turkey for dinner – even though I was the cook. lol.

  17. DeniseVB says:

So, I was wondering why Jill Stein was trending at the top of twitter….oy vey….

  18. lateblum says:

Cooking holds a special place in my history… not really. so I like to look at this at least at this time of year.

  19. Remember when I said yesterday that I took Mom to the store to avoid the last-minute rush? Yeah, that was a great plan.

Mom called me up this afternoon and sent me to the store to get some things for one of her friends.

    It was a clusterfuck.

    • swanspirit says:

I can empathise. SOMEONE ate all of the chocolate chips, so I had to run to the store this afternoon. I could not believe the number of people shopping at the last minute. But they were smiling and friendly so it wasn’t too horrible.

    • Mt.Laurel says:

Staples was empty. So was the post office. I know this because the beltway was shut down in two spots with miles of traffic backed up so we worked from home and I needed ink to get something printed out to be mailed. So now you know – mail those Christmas packages that day before Thanksgiving. Oh – they both mentioned they will be really slow Friday.

My question of the day: why do they still program printers to not allow you print on B/W only if even one of the color cartridges is empty? My guess to make you buy the color ink.

    And yet another Marxist organization.

“An organization called Socialist Alternative (SA) has been one of the key orchestrators – along with the ANSWER Coalition, the Occupy Movement, and – of the massive, sometimes violent, anti-Donald Trump protests that have been staged in cities across the United States ever since Hillary Clinton’s defeat on Election Day.”
