Afternoon/Evening/Overnight Open Thread

I regret that I never paid attention to Andrew Breitbart until after he was dead. He was unique.

Myiq, he was unique. I started watching him not too long before he died. I, too, wish I had known about him earlier.

      • taw46 says:

Bless Breitbart. How anyone can sit there with Martin Bashir. Ugh, I barely got through the video.

      • cynic says:

wow, I just watched the clip, and it sure does bring back memories. Breitbart was brilliant at what he did. Unfortunately, I firmly believe that he was murdered for it.
I followed him closely starting in ’08, and remember the moment when I heard the
radio announcer announce that he was dead.

    • Island Girl says:

It’s almost like the good ol days.

    • DeniseVB says:

My favorite was when Andrew walked into the lobby of a hotel at a netroots nation (Daily Kos) convention and the kossacks tried to throw him out of a “public” space. He just laughed at them and security wouldn’t toss him because he wasn’t doing anything but standing there…..actually being harassed for no reason other than being Andrew. He was always trolling them 😀

guess you could not make that old tv show “the streets of San Francisco” today.

good for him. hope more people do this

    • 49erDweet says:

Apparently millennials no longer have paid labor to perform so they spend lots of time “demonstrating” and “protesting”, which seems to be news-speak for ‘standing around and blocking people who actually work from doing anything’.

      • Lulu says:

And trespassing. Why aren’t they thrown out of a privately owned building? Millennial think they can help themselves to other people’s stuff and property. Kind of like teenage burglars whose parents say after they are shot how they gonna get school clothes money? Maybe a job sacking groceries instead of breaking and entering and getting shot?

Touch with greatness. I went in with him to match the first 10,000 for any video of someone calling Elijah cummings “N” or spitting on him for a total reward of $20,000. After it was apparent nobody came forward after a couple of days, he upped it to $100,000.

A US Marine with his rifle.
      Get ’em Mad Dog….SIR!

    • helenk3 says:

i just learned that congress has to pass a waiver for him to take the job. He has not been retired for 7 years. I want them to do so. I have read about how he crossed the country after he retired to visit the gold star families of those who were killed while he was in command. Not being married he would stand watch and let the married marines have time with their families at Christmas.
This is a good man who would not suffer fools gladly and the DOD really needs him

Well, looks like wall to wall, shoulder to shoulder at the Trump rally in Cincinnati.
    Music rocking like before.

And the hits keep on coming. Bestest post-election period EVAHHHHH!!!!!!

      • taw46 says:

Already happened on Twitter. Reporters were showing empty room, saying no one was showing up to see Trump. They did not report roads and bridges were closed, which delayed people arriving. Looks and sounds packed to me. FOX also reported it full.

  12. taw46 says:

Congressman Sean Duffy from WI on Tucker’s show. Says the Stein/Clinton group are slow-walking the recount, estimates are 20 days for count. Which will put them beyond deadline for certifying count. Which he says is their purpose for this recount.

  13. taw46 says:

I have chills watching Trump take the stage. Oh my.

    • elliesmom says:

I used to harangue my fellow teachers about this. They’d take the first day of school to pass out books, go over their syllabus, explain their homework policy. After period after period of that on the first day of school, the kids would go home convinced the year was going to be boring as ever. It took some of the teachers most of the first week to get the kids “ready to be taught”. I’d introduce myself in three words or less, tell them to grab a seat. Then we’d start on a science lab that didn’t require a lot of safety rules. I’d typically wait three days or more before I passed out books and syllabi, and not both on the same day. By the end of the first week most of the kids had decided science was going to be their favorite class.

Trump has reduced the MSM to nothing more than preening hecklers.

  16. taw46 says:

For those of us who watch Tucker.

    • AFVet says:

Trump said that he is the closest thing to Patton that we have.
All of the snowflakes in the defense dept better run.

      • taw46 says:

John Schindler was not a fan of Trump’s, but he gives him credit for this appointment. If you look at his TL, he has much praise for Mattis.

      • taw46 says:

  17. Dora says:

It was a great speech. Maybe his best!

  18. Venus says:

Remember these men’s faces & words when the elitist snobs in the MSM tell you that Trump saving “only” 1,100 Carrier jobs (before Obama said he couldn’t save even one without a “magic wand”) is just a “drop in the bucket” or a “band aid on a gaping wound.” And the deal is for Carrier to reinvest $15 million & create 10,000 more jobs here long term in exchange for a $7 million tax break (tax break means they get to keep their OWN money; they are NOT getting taxpayer’s money, like what the Obama stimulus did).

    • CiscoKid says:

Those pukes in the msm and Obama must never have read Trumps book,
The Art of The Fuckin’ Deal.
Ok, so I ad libd a little.
      Get some Donald, get some!

for all my dislike of trump, I have to admit, in this pick he did good

General Mattis once wrote a letter on the importance of reading and it is a must read

This is my favorite tribute to Breitbart, from Fox News’ Red Eye.

    • 49erDweet says:

To be fair that issue has already been resolved in the negative. None. Zippo. Bereft of them. Gone!!!!!

    • Lulu says:

And you, the “press” hated on them first asshole so take the repercussions like an adult instead of a mewling coward. What goes around comes around so don’t start what you can’t finish. And we are just starting to get a free press that isn’t owned by globalist billionaires like Bezos you butt-kissing flunkie.

Tensions between Clinton, Trump campaigns finally boil over

Tensions between the Clinton and Trump campaigns reached a fever pitch on Thursday night when a shouting match broke out between their top aides at a post-election forum on the 2016 presidential campaign.

  24. DeniseVB says:

They should hang this in the Pentagon 😉

    • Elliott says:

The Obama backed “moderate” rebels in Syria are trying to negotiate (probably a surrender and be allowed to go home if possible) with Putin. Putin has suggested it must be done before Jan 20, 2017. The money is going to be cut off with Trump, Bronco’s arms shipments are drying up or being diverted to his homies bank accounts, and Assad is winning because Bronco is ShitMidas. AND he abandons his “allies”. Putin wants the “surrender” before Bronco leaves office and Trump doesn’t care. And Israel bombed the bejesus out of some of them for looking at them from southern Syria.

      • blowme0bama says:

Fucking Obama, if he had any conern whatsoever for Americans, would be negotiating recovery of our weapons from those murderous psychos he’s propped up.

  25. DeniseVB says:

Kirsten is so brave to take a stand. *eyeroll* Mattis is a civilian now.

    • Venus says:

Does this idiot understand that Trump, a civilian, would be Commander in Chief?
Or that the Sec. of Defense requirement has only been in place since 1942?

    • Lulu says:

You are now in the minority because of Obama, and Hairy Reed changed all the rulz that will now benefit Trump, and no one cares what you think. Kay? So go find something useful to do or stand in the traffic. No one was counting on your vote anyway since you are in a weak, regional, minority party on the skids to nowhere. It must suck to be so irrelevant.

      • ecoast says:

Well, she got into the news for this statement, right? That’s what counts for her.
This may be her opening shot for the Dem ticket for 2020 presidential campaign.

Obama administration stiff-arms lawmakers questioning secret refugee deal

Nearly 2,500 refugees from terrorism hotspots around the world are bound for the U.S. after being rejected by Australia, but not even top lawmakers can get answers about who they are.

    • Lulu says:

This “deal” freaked out the Australian parliament. They are afraid they are going to end up on Trump’s shit list for accepting it. One of the their party leaders asked “Why is Turnbull TRYING to antagonize Trump? This is not worth it and certainly no way to start out with a new administration.” So they may get them back or Trump could send them back where they came from originally.

  27. Venus says:

    This is funny:

  29. Somebody says:

This is a cute song, but they need to come up with an actual video to go with it.

  30. Dora says:

They need a Trump in Germany.

    • taw46 says:

At the rate they are going, it is only a matter of time before they ban all Christmas Markets in Germany.

And if you read that article, it lists all the incidents that have occurred just in the month of October. It makes me ill, I don’t think Germany can recover from this invasion.

    • taw46 says:

The left is doing everything they can to stop Trump from taking office in January. I will admit to being a little worried about those recounts delaying certification of votes in those states. Can you imagine what would happen? I think Soros wants the chaos that would result. He really wants to destroy us.

Once Trump gets in office, a priority has to be cleaning up all this voter fraud by these people who don’t give a damn about America and her citizens.

  31. Dora says:

I read the article. It sounds serious. But I just can’t decide whether or not this is a joke.

    • taw46 says:

If he is serious, then there is an ulterior motive. Like overthrowing the election of Trump. He as all Dems are doing, points out the results of the popular vote. And as all Dems, he insists the results won’t change, they just want to reassure everyone it was a fair election. As far as I am concerned, they are all up to something, and I don’t trust them one bit.

        • Mt.Laurel says:

Thank you for making sure we did not win because you really would have been sorry when you found out that we were going to try to finish handing over the USA to the hate filled and incompetent UN, import so many enemies that the cultural threads of the nation cease to exist, and, not to mention that the whole $15 push is really for making sure that all jobs would pay $15 an hour so everyone would be poor but us special elitists. So Please donate to make sure we still get our way?

Does Hallmark have a card for that?

  32. helenk3 says:

trumps deal with carrier a form of crony capitalism?

I am about to throw a temper tantrum

have any of these fools ever had a real job? Have they ever lost that job and had a family to feed? Did they ever have to find a job that maybe they had to travel 3 1/2 hours each way every day and still raise a family?
There were over 1000 jobs saved by keeping carrier here in the USA. would the fools that are complaining about the deal rather these people lose their jobs, have to go on welfare and forever be slaves to the democrats?

    end of rant

  33. DeniseVB says:

Speaking of Libs, I saw a few FB posts on how Trevor Noah made Tomi Lehren look like a fool and they’re celebrating because she’s a dumb bitch or something……sickos. The segment was heavily edited and punched up with a laugh track.

Good grief these SJW’s are annoying. If you don’t have time to watch the whole thing, move the thingy forward to when Milo shows up to confront them.

    • Somebody says:

I’ve tuned out pretty much all of the media, but I tuned in to watch Tucker’s first show and I’ve tried to tune in each night since. I’m considering recording it on my DVR because I’ve missed a couple of his shows. I don’t currently have anything on my DVR record list, my kid does, my husband does, but I don’t……..well except when my grandchild programs Shepherd fucking Smith into my DVR.

I would encourage you to tune in one night and watch Tucker’s show. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen so far. It’s still new and I may change my mind, but so far I really like it.

This may be a tad new agey or wing-wingy for some of you but I found it very fascinating. I had read a couple of reviews of the book some time ago and read this with some interest. Very interesting perspective.

    • Mt.Laurel says:

Some views that are a bit out there often reflects on thing that have been around since man first walked the earth. I think it is a very interesting take at how the past should not be forgotten/ignored because it is woven into the fabric of the present (how is that for new agey) ? 😉

It also ties to the post of Helens about Mad Dog’s belief in reading – especially history – because very little is truly new – the patterns are often very similar and we can indeed learn for other mistakes or shortcomings and apply that knowledge to current scenarios.
