The epidemic continues:

On victory lap, few signs Trump focusing on unified nation

PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — President-elect Donald Trump on Saturday was wrapping up his postelection victory tour, showing few signs of turning the page from his blustery campaign to focus on uniting a divided nation a month before his inauguration.

At each stop, the Republican has gloatingly recapped his Election Night triumph, reignited some old political feuds while starting some new ones, and done little to quiet the hate-filled chants of “Lock her up!” directed at Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

Trump planned the tour’s finale at the same football stadium in Mobile, Alabama, that hosted the biggest rally of his campaign. Also Saturday, he announced the nomination of South Carolina Rep. Mick Mulvaney to be his budget director, choosing a tea partyer and fiscal conservative with no experience assembling a government spending plan.

The raucous rallies, a hallmark of his campaign, are meant to salute supporters who lifted him to the presidency. But these appearances also have been his primary form of communication since the Nov. 8 election.

Trump has eschewed the traditional news conference held by a president-elect within days of winning. He’s done few interviews, announced his Cabinet picks via news release and continues to rely on Twitter to broadcast his thoughts and make public pronouncements.

And the media wonders why we don’t trust them.

    Per Kellyanne Conway.
    Trump won 2,600 county’s
    31/50 States
    306 EV’s
Sounds like Trump has already started unifying.

Yes, the media is the biggest villain, if only in the sense that they act as the mirror which reflects everything back to the public. They were the ones who simply would not stop writing and talking about emails, when there was truly nothing there. They mostly ignored the stories of Trump colluding with Russia,, the many conflicts of interest. They dropped the tax returns issue. They showed almost every Trump rally in full. They never discussed Hillary’s economic ideas, of which there are many.
The problem of course is, this is the media. They are almost totally owned and run by far Right corporatists. They were not just somehow missing the stories, they were deliberately trying to damage Hillary. The journalists did it for sport; and their corporate owners did it for partisanship and profits. And so not surprisingly, they are now trying to normalize and elevate Trump.
The Democrats have been afraid of the media for many years; they know that the media will always spin the story against them. They are the ones who are supposed to compromise, while Republicans do not have to. Hillary had to be perfect, which no one is. Trump could get away with almost anything. This isn’t going to change. Unless some Democratic billiionaires start their own networks, the media is another enemy. They are not on our side, as we thought back in the Murrow and Cronkite eras. They distort the images of reality for their own ends. People have to somehow work to make the country better without reference or even consideration for what the media might say. That is obviously hard to do in this era. But the fictional “mad prophet of the airwaves,” Howard Beale, was even more correct now, than he was in the ’70’s. At least turn off CNN and Fox, and MSNBC except maybe for the 5-8 pm shows. And don’t read surreptitious right-wimg sites like Politico and The Hill, and Real Clear Politics, among others. The media is just another arm of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy that Hillary tried to warn the nation about, and Obama appeared to try to pretend did not exist.

Here’s another reason msm is dead.
I watched the Trump rally held in Orlando. Crowd had to be at least 10,000.
    18K watching on Facebook
    16K watching on YT
    Thousands more on RSBNTV.
WGN-Chicago shows only close up of Trump NEVER the crowd.
And somehow for some reason spliced in a shot of RedSquare.
Didn’t listen, I never do, blessings on the inventor of the remote.
A big bowl of 💩 for you WGN.

Article in Breitbart reports that 17,850 tons of ammo were imported and sold in the US.
24,767,514 were performed between 1 January and 30 November of this year.
To the best of my knowledge, US military does not use imported ammo, only US manufactured.
    There, I feel better now.
    Good job Citzens.

Same here. And remember, if there’s a coup on Monday, there are no laws, there is no government. Have fun kids.

      • CiscoKid says:

I suppose it will be time to raise the black flag and…..

        • kanaughty says:

The pirate flag! Or the rebellion/resistance flag (star wars)!

          • CiscoKid says:

No I was thinking moe of HL Menckens quote of,
“Every man must be tempted at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag , and begin slitting throats”
            Yep, that’s the ticket.

      • swanspirit says:

There will be no coup, but I fully expect another wave of agonized grief, accompanied by the usual wailing, gnashing of teeth, and wearng of sackcloith and ashes. Head for high griund and get your buckets ready, a flashflood of liberal tears will flow.

They have one last BM before the vote.

“A coalition of outside groups seeking to pressure Republican members of the Electoral College to vote against Donald Trump are sinking half a million dollars into a final ad buy in all 50 states.
“The ad is a 30-second version of a YouTube video released earlier this week featuring celebrities, including Martin Sheen and Debra Messing. It will run on cable and satellite television Saturday and Sunday, according to information provided to USA TODAY.”

They should use the money to help people.

    • SHV says:

For 2017, I’ll support Trump Train and buy American. No more Korean 5.56 855 or 7.62mm.

      • CiscoKid says:

The 17,850 tons of ammo imported and sold this year the 3 top importers are,
“Poongsan Corp” of South Korea, Fiocchi Munizioni of Italy and Prvi Partizan of Serbia.
I’ve shot Fiocchi and I think it’s good stuff, Partizan is good plinking ammo, Serbs make good AK’s and decent ammo.
Poongsan, I think they market under PMC.
Either way, any ammo imported or manufactured domestically has to meet SAMMI standards via testing.
I’ll buy premium ammo for self defense, but for a day at the range, what ever is on sale and goes bang.

    • kanaughty says:

I believe we had an ammo shortage for a while, so that’s probably why the foreign bought and also remanufactured ammo, which is what we buy. 😉

      • CiscoKid says:

        Yes, we did.
Good old ATF reclassified some imported 7.62×59 as armor piercing thus banning millions of rounds being imported.
It was inexpensive and good plinking ammo.
Used to buy it by the case, but there’s other 7.62 still available.

  10. lateblum says:

Here is the message that I just found in my email.

“If you heard the news about Russia’s influence affecting the previous election and would like your voice heard …
The Department of Justice is tallying phone calls regarding those who want the 2016 vote audited. A shift of just 55,000 Trump votes to Hillary in PA, MI, & WI is all that is needed to win. They are starting to recognize there really is something off about the election results as they came in. Considering everything that is at stake, a vote audit should be done.
Call 202-514-2000, choose option number 4, and leave a message for the Attorney General’s office.
Just state your full name, that you are a US citizen, where you live, and that you would like to add your voice to all those calling for an audit of the 2016 presidential election.
These things are tallies. Recording time is short. Make it easy for them. They don’t need a long winded message.
SHARE THIS, SPREAD THE WORD. Please copy and paste; do not just hit share.
I just made the call myself, and it went right through. This took two minutes of my time at the most. It was fast and easy. You can do something right now!
Then copy and paste this to your page or any of your group pages. Thanks!
    Anything is better than nothing.”

I am really annoyed by the arrogance hiding behind the facade of #caring. These are a bunch of subversives pretending to love the country.

    • lyn says:

In that case, audit everywhere. Their arrogance and self-righteousness are astounding. If we can’t have Trump, they can’t have Hillary. Do they think we would let Hillary be president without fighting?

    • Mt.Laurel says:

This is still circulating? It was started by some dweeb on a pro Hill subgroup on redit (? – my knowledge of redit is rather limited) before Thanksgiving and got a push from some of the Hollywood Go Lightly crowd. I guess it now has a life of its own. Even the WP had to fess up it was – well – not all that realistic.

Can’t imagine the MSM (or Hollywood for that matter) without the CIA. They are well integrated. They’ll be around for another generation at least because boomers will be around for another generation at least. Television still rules for boomers.

Peter Thiel is the future as far as media goes, both online and offline. He will have a lot of power under Trump, with or without a formal title. Someone to watch.
