  1. I’m watching “The Mark of Zorro”. 17 year old Linda Darnell (hawt) and Tyrone Power in pants so tight you can tell he wasn’t Jewish.

    • Jadzia says:

I feel bad for the police and the folks in the justice system who wasted a bunch of time on this crap. Not much sympathy for the “victim.”

      • Lulu says:

I would consider what the parents did to her an assault. But she is such an attention hog she probably went along with it to get attention that way too. She can be a double victim, of made up Trump dudes AND her parents. The parents should have grounded her for a year instead of de-feminizing her. I read that her father, age 58, is in law school. Why? So he can be a professional pain in the butt too?

        • Jadzia says:

I guess I took a “live by the sword, die by the sword” kind of attitude, which is not exactly something to be proud of.

If it’s any consolation about the dad, a pushing-60 first-year lawyer will never be hired by anybody, and if he is at the kind of school that is unethical enough to take tuition/student loan money from somebody who will never, ever find work in the profession, I’m guessing he is at the kind of school whose “admission requirements” involve not much more than the ability to fog up a mirror, which would not bode well for his ability to pass the bar.

          • Lulu says:

I think the law school stuff is just training for sharia shit stirring stuff or to sit on a sharia court and not get caught or something. Cutting off her hair is some kind of Sharia shaming garbage to control and terrorize her. What she did was awful but she is a dopey and not that smart kid really and cutting off her hair to control her is simply beyond the pale for a very vain but pretty girl.

          • mothy67 says:

Wait. I have played with the idea. I like penumbras. Find SCOTUS briefs like short stories. Confess its fantasy. I picked up a real estate law text. I could never make it through that. I do need to do something. I have a lot less money than I did ten years ago. I can still do something I want to do. I debate grad school at 50 or becoming a CNA. I am not squeamish and I might enjoy abusing the infirm(kidding). I just haven’t had a boss in 25 years. Not sure how I would handle being told what to do.

          • Jadzia says:

            Don’t do it! I wouldn’t say that if I didn’t care about you. : )

          • blowme0bama says:

Agree with Jadzia. Its not an occupation to begin at an older age. The first 3-7 years are incredibly difficult and unnerving.

          • Jadzia says:

I was 30 when I went into private practice (did 3 years of clerkships first) and frankly, even THAT was kind of pushing it, but it probably depends on what type of law you’re doing. I was in Biglaw, where young people without much workplace experience (i.e., who don’t know any better than to be bullied into working 24/7) are preferred for the entry-level positions. It’s probably different in government or smaller shops, but there is still a huuuuuge learning curve, much of which is not billable.

  2. Jadzia says:

A nice article about the cultural significance of the Christmas markets, albeit one that made me want to smack the smug right off of Valls’s face. (Fortunately, I expect the voters to do that for him.)

    • Lulu says:

Trump is engaging the enemy culturally. “Our hearts and prayers are with the loved ones of the victims of today’s horrifying terror attack in Berlin. Innocent civilians were murdered in the streets as they prepared to celebrate the Christmas holiday. ISIS and other Islamic terrorists continuously slaughter Christians in their communities and places of worship as part of their global jihad. These terrorists and their regional and worldwide networks must be eradicated from the face of the earth, a mission we will carry out with all freedom-loving partners.” Of course the lefty media went ape-shit on how culturally insensitive this statement is. The pussy footing PC about Islam targeting western religion, traditions and values will now be discussed whether the globalists demand it to stop or not.

    For Tucker fans,

    • Somebody says:

Wow, that’s great! I’m happy for Tucker, he even beat O’Reilly. Bill O isn’t going to like that.

      • jeffhas says:

Only in the 25-54 demo (which IS important)… But, if you pull in all numbers O probably beats everyone. PLUS O’Reilly wasn’t hosting on 12/16, it was Bolling, so there’s a drop off their as well.

        • jeffhas says:

Of course that is not to take away from the magnificent Tucker who is a giant Snowflake Melter these days.

          • Lulu says:

Tucker gets along fine with Dems and Libs who don’t act like assholes.

          • Somebody says:

I saw Tucker on the FNC show at noon “Outnumbered” not long ago, he was the one lucky guy for the day. Julie Roginsky was on that day and apparently she and Tucker are friends, maybe they used to be neighbors or something. She divulged on the show that day, that for years Tucker has hosted dinner parties where he invites people of varying ideological backgrounds and they discuss and debate issues. No yelling is allowed, also no talking points only serious, meaningful full engagement of issues in a calm, Socratic type discussion and debate. He’s very particular about who he invites and if the guest doesn’t follow the ground rules they’re never invited back.

Since he’s been doing the dinners for years I imagine he can hold his own with his TV guests. I also think he would thoroughly enjoy a good debate with any one of his guests if they’d bring their A game. Although calm, rational, high minded debate probably wouldn’t garner the ratings he’s currently enjoying.

Families of the victims of the Orlando gay nightclub shooting on Monday filed a federal civil suit against Twitter, Facebook, and Google for allegedly providing “material support” to the Islamic State and helping to radicalize shooter Omar Mateen.

I would think with that Saudi prince owning most of Twitter, it isn’t going to be too much of a stretch to prove that platform…

  8. mothy67 says:

I was reading things about dims rebuilding. Things that struck me they are blaming straight white guy.
What is so wrong with straight white alpha males. I’m gay but I have brothers that I respect. They happen to be white. Why is being a strong male such a bad thing. I find Bibi sexy. I love that voice. Putin exudes strength. I like confidence. Justin Tredeau is meek. Not something I find attractive. He reminds me of weak woman on a soap opera.
My biggest problem with yeb was that he did not stand up straight. His shoulders screamed vulnerability. Trump made me laugh. Humor can be equated with surrender. You accept someone when they make you laugh.
The other thing I noticed is leftists will not call out islamic terrorism. Stuff I read was written prior to yesterday. They are trying so hard to resurrect cold war enemy. My parents have told me about hiding under desks. That is so not a part of my world. Russia is not boogie man. Islamic terrorism is real and dims go out of their way to deny it. Its on everyone’s mind. Rabid denial makes it more real..
They take such pride in being smarter but lack common sense.
Had I run Hillary’s campaign I would have let her be a bitch. Who in God’s name thought her fake smile was a good idea? Every time I saw it I thought about all her lies. It was disconcerting. . Straight up hard core would have at least made her real. Trump won I think because he came across as real. Pussygate did not faze me nor 60 million others
I am intrigued by how wrong the dims are. I think recounts and d list celebs hurt the brand. No moderate will get on board after seeing Olberman. They are forcing people to see them as nuts.

I hear conflicting stories, so who knows. One article said he denied being involved, then a couple of paragraphs down, quoted someone as saying they had not found an interpreter for the Pakistani dialect he spoke. So, how could he deny?? Media wrong? Or does someone want to change the narrative?

        • Lulu says:

Merkel was at a ceremony “honoring” migrants while this all went down. I shit you not. Now her own party is starting to want her to resign.

          • taw46 says:

Just like the lefties here. Do not care about their own citizens, only the invaders. I wish she would resign. If not, I hope enough Germans come to their senses and vote her out next year.

          • Jadzia says:

I saw on the BFMTV (24-hour news channel) crawl this morning that according to Merkel, apparently the really important thing to remember is that it’s important not to demonize migrants. I’m not gonna say that I have no sympathy for the German people overall (because there are plenty of folks in that country who oppose Merkel, but it’s just not enough). However, sympathy for Merkel’s party and the people who continue to vote for it? Not so much.

Yes, let’s be like Denmark, and have free schools!
The Danish parliament has passed a bill barring students from taking more than one university degree, despite huge protests – a move which, a Danish education analyst has told Sputnik, has “shattered the dreams” of Danish citizens young and old.

The bill, which was passed on Monday and supported by Denmark’s three-party coalition government, as well as the Danish People’s Party and the Social Democrats, restricts any individual from pursuing more than one degree over their lifetime. The plan’s backers in parliament said the move will save over $40 million (300 million kroner) annually, money which will instead be used to fund the country’s generous unemployment benefits.

    • Lulu says:

That is one way to deal with professional students and make the ones who pick stupid degree plans think twice about majoring in basket weaving because they will be weaving baskets the rest of their lives.

    • lateblum says:

I hope the protests will awaken the country to the overwhelming expenses of unfettered immigration. Maybe those citizens will rise up and demand an end to the flood of immigrants who drain their economy.
And then they may be able to resume their lifetimes of degree after degree after degree and never have to work a lick in their lives. /s

All I can say is stay alert, be aware of your surroundings and be prepared to defend yourself. Fight or flight, the choice is yours.
        This may help prepare you.
        From Col. Jeff Cooper.
confrontation, according to Cooper, is neither the weapon nor the martial skills. The primary tool is the combat mindset, set forth in his book, Principles of Personal Defense.[4]

The color code, as originally introduced by Jeff Cooper, had nothing to do with tactical situations or alertness levels, but rather with one’s state of mind. As taught by Cooper, it relates to the degree of peril you are willing to do something about and which allows you to move from one level of mindset to another to enable you to properly handle a given situation. Cooper did not claim to have invented anything in particular with the color code, but he was apparently the first to use it as an indication of mental state.[5]

The following is from The Carry Book: Minnesota Edition, 2011:[6]

White: Unaware and unprepared. If attacked in Condition White, the only thing that may save you is the inadequacy or ineptitude of your attacker. When confronted by something nasty, your reaction will probably be “Oh my God! This can’t be happening to me.”
Yellow: Relaxed alert. No specific threat situation. Your mindset is that “today could be the day I may have to defend myself”. You are simply aware that the world is a potentially unfriendly place and that you are prepared to defend yourself, if necessary. You use your eyes and ears, and realize that “I may have to shoot today”. You don’t have to be armed in this state, but if you are armed you should be in Condition Yellow. You should always be in Yellow whenever you are in unfamiliar surroundings or among people you don’t know. You can remain in Yellow for long periods, as long as you are able to “Watch your six.” (In aviation 12 o’clock refers to the direction in front of the aircraft’s nose. Six o’clock is the blind spot behind the pilot.) In Yellow, you are “taking in” surrounding information in a relaxed but alert manner, like a continuous 360 degree radar sweep. As Cooper put it, “I might have to shoot.”
Orange: Specific alert. Something is not quite right and has your attention. Your radar has picked up a specific alert. You shift your primary focus to determine if there is a threat (but you do not drop your six). Your mindset shifts to “I may have to shoot that person today”, focusing on the specific target which has caused the escalation in alert status. In Condition Orange, you set a mental trigger: “If that person does “X”, I will need to stop them”. Your pistol usually remains holstered in this state. Staying in Orange can be a bit of a mental strain, but you can stay in it for as long as you need to. If the threat proves to be nothing, you shift back to Condition Yellow.
Red: Condition Red is fight. Your mental trigger (established back in Condition Orange) has been tripped. “If ‘X’ happens I will shoot that person” — ‘X’ has happened, the fight is on.
The USMC uses “Condition Black,” although it was not originally part of Cooper’s color code.[7] According to Massad Ayoob, “Condition Black,” in Cooper’s youth, meant “combat in progress.”[8]

In short, the color code helps one “think” in a fight. As the level of danger increases, one’s willingness to take certain actions increases. If one ever does go to Condition Red, the decision to use lethal force has already been made — the “mental trigger” has been tripped.[citation needed]

The following are some of Cooper’s additional comments on the subject.

I tended bar for many years. You learn to gauge people when they walk in the door. I can see Hillary being a drunk. She threw down dark liquor like a pro. It was fake or she was seasoned.

Oh, I’ve long suspected, and I mean for many years, she REALLLY likes the booze.

          • mothy67 says:

          • blowme0bama says:

She just has a look and air about her. I can’t articulate it. She looks like she’s spent hundreds of nights yammering with a cigarette in one hand and vodka in the other. She strikes me as having a sadistic, but sharp, sense of humor as well and for some reason I’m associating that with a well-burnished, experienced drinker.

  22. taw46 says:
